Another fantastic kettle cook Ken! I’ve been a bachelor the last week as my wife is back east with family and I’m watching our pup. I was able to smoke a rack of ribs, tri tip and a pork butt. So much fun!🔥
A little trick I've seen with removing the membrane is to pull it up in the middle of the ribs and then slide your whole hand through ( kinda like your making a handle in the center of the ribs ) then just hold the ribs down in the center with one hand and pull up evenly on the membrane and it should come off in one try. It doesn't always work perfectly, but when it does, it's quite a bit easier than trying to pull from one end to the other and gripping with paper towels and such.
@ttahir4909 I don’t think it affects the flavor so much as it effects the burn time and temps. I good high end charcoal like Prime 6 will burn cleaner, longer and hotter than an average charcoal.

I like the idea of using orange juice for a spritz! And that center cut bone falling apart for the chef, "Well Played"😁

That pretty good advice… thanks!
Talk about fall off the bone ribs! I love ribs!👍😋😋😋
Oh yes, they were definitely falling apart on me. lol Thanks my friend!
I love ribs cooked like that. Nice video! Have you ever tried Stubbs BBQ sauce?
Yes sir, Stubbs makes some really good sauce!
I’ve been having a lot of trouble with the membrane lately
Yeah, that one was pretty stubborn!
Hey, I just subbed to you. I seen your truck at Kroger today.
Awesome, thanks so much! I was just there.
You needed some large sesame seeded buns some onions and pickles. That’s how you do fall off the bone!
I actually considered making it a sandwich video for a sec. lol
Those looked delicious, Mt wife likes them fall off the bone
What kind of charcoal is that? I never saw any with holes in it
That is Prime 6 Charcoal. Some of the best I've used.
I know it's been asked before, but what kind of charcoal is that? I'm kinda interested in trying it.
It is Prime 6 Charcoal. It is some of the best I've used.
@@KenRogersMostlyOutdoors does the type of charcoal you use affect the flavor or does it just affect the max temperature and longevity of burn?
