Happy halloween folks! Holidays aside, this is a very tragic case... Lori's 911 call is heartbreaking, and the coincidence at the end of this story is just awful. I can't imagine the horror that Devon had to face, let alone the years of pain to follow... Look after each other tonight! See you guys again soon. ☕
My son has schizophrenia. He gets a monthly injection and takes daily meds. We have been warned that schizophrenics stop taking their meds because they feel well. Then they get put back on meds when the illness manifests again. It becomes a vicious cycle and every time they stop taking their meds they slip into deeper psychosis until they are totally psychotic and institutionalised. My heart breaks for Billy because he tried so hard to help his son. As a parent it is a stressful path to walk, never knowing when psychosis will manifest. But we do the best we can. I hope Devon received sufficient therapy to help him work through his trauma.
I’m so glad there are mothers like you out there. My dad is an abusive paranoid schizophrenic with complex ptsd and he was abused so so horribly by everyone in his life. He refuses to take meds and chooses to eat better as an alternative to meds. It is such a vicious cycle. Luckily he is only verbally abusive not so much physically. I moved out at 17 and i still worry about him every day.
@@jessicamarie42503 When someone knows how terrible this illness is, and shares their experience of living with it in the home, it makes me feel less anxious about his future. I will try manage our eating habits better but I will never agree to him going off his meds. The person who emerged before he was diagnosed was scary. Do you know that, apparently, 1 in 100 people in the USA have schizophrenia? That's a staggering proportion of people suffering daily if the same frequency is true across the world. My heart hurts when I hear what your dad experienced and how that has affected your life too. Blessings from South Africa.
@@marionfriedenthal7352 I’m so glad i could give you some more hope! I definitely think my dad should be on meds, the eating part is helping, but not as much as it should. We just think of him as two people, ones my father who loves me and raised me and the other is a monster who says the most vile things and thinks about committing suicide due to paranoia. It’s very sad to see it happen especially to a loved one. I am very thankful in some way I’ve had this experience because it’s taught me to show kindness towards everyone because you never know how they see reality. Im also glad to hear how well you’re handling your sons illness, I’m only 18 so I’m worried I’ll have schizophrenia later in life or my children will. I just don’t want to see that kind of pain in anyone I love or myself. My mom was a lot like you very informative and very kind and helpful to others. She made she i knew daily that my dad was just special and can’t control his behavior sometimes. Blessings from America (:
What causes them to think this? I suffer from mental health issues too, but for me feeling well is proof that I need to continue whst I'm doing - not stop medicating.
People who hurt animals are just as bad as child killers. When they are so pure and innocent, just to abuse their trust and cause them such pain is truly evil.
Couldn't agree more. If this sad excuse for a human being (William Liske) hurt my animals, I wouldn't think twice about putting him out of his misery right then and there.
It should be simple but of course it isnt. Torturing and murdering animals should be a death penalty. Punish them for what theyve done and prevent future harm but of course this is america, the most backwards entity to ever exist. Animal and child abusers and killers should be executed and processed into livestock feed.
I would like to thank you for this titanic effort of researching, preparing and narrating all of these videos. You are a one man show! I'm always returning with interest and passion! Please, keep up the good work and enchant us with these bizarre cases! Awareness must be raised at all times, more importantly than just being attracted to these types of themes.
@@CoffeehouseCrime That's great. You and Mike over at ThatChapter are my favorites. The Pazuzu Algarad one you did got me hooked. Another crazy dude whose life story ended the same. This one got me more emotional though. Keep up the great work!
Poor Devin. The PTSD he must suffer knowing that he played video games while his family lay dead in the house with him. I hope he's going okay and getting the help he needs to deal with the utter loss of his whole family plus an aunt.
How could he not have looked for them? He went to church, came back, played video games till it grew dark outside and inside and yet he didn't think of them? 🤔
@@PumaLyn idk how it is in most houses but I grew up in a busy family where it was common to not see eachother for a day or two just cause of opposite schedules
However understandable it is for a parent to never give up on their child, they have another serious responsibility to protect everyone else in the home, their other family members. This is a heartbreaking tragic story.
You are absolutely correct. My sister (unlike this William, who was diagnosed with schizo-affective disorder - a behavior issue and not an organic brain disease) was acutely schizophrenic but my parents dragged her to preachers to have "demons" prayed out of her. She became more and more unwell and we were forced to live with her in our home. She attempted to kill each family member more than once. I finally got tired of it and after she stabbed me, I actually phoned law enforcement and she was involuntarily committed. I was fourteen years old and my brother and I lived in sheer terror. Until the day they died, the parents blamed me because I didn't have enough faith to wait out her divine healing, absolving themselves of ANY responsibility! I resent them to this day. Their cult mentality would have killed us.
As the sibling of a paranoid schizophrenic (he was never violent, just weird and sometimes manic), I understand that it's hard for someone with racing thoughts etc. to stay on meds. This case is so tragic yet they tried so hard to help. Very sad.
No one is violent until they are. That’s the problem with the illness. My mother is an occupational therapist in a mental health hospital, she is always on edge, she has been there 45 years!
The meds are brutal and make people very tired and like many disorders, people drop them when they feel better not realizing the symptoms will return, it is a bad cycle. But like I said you can't really blame them, the side effects of those meds are brutal.
@@McSnezzly partly true, they are more likely to be victims in the community however to say they are not violent or at least to the point they do not understand why and continue is incorrect. This is what makes mental illness so dangerous if left untreated. Anyone can be violent agreed, but if you lack basic treats which on the whole stop accuse behaviour then you end up with a human with zero emotion and empathy. A very dangerous place to be.
Honestly as someone who also has mental health problems, sometimes you just have to know when someone isn't worth putting yourself through. The Dad clearly loved his son and tried hard but in the end his son was his own person and when that person doesn't take anything you attempt to heart or even try to meet you halfway, it just isn't worth it. Don't get me wrong, people deserve a chance to change. But as hard as it is, you also have to realize yourself how much you're effecting your own quality of life, and in this case the other members of the family's as well. Chances do run out eventually and in the end if a person doesn't want to change, then it's just you suffering for it.
Yes, you have to realize there's a time when you're not saving them, they're taking you down with them. Unfortunately it usually involves the whole family breaking apart too. Doesn't mean you stop loving and caring about them, but as a sibling with an ill brother there wasn't any time for me growing up, especially after the divorce and Dad cut out. The last contact I had(with my brother) was when he called right after my husband died. He got ugly and when we hung up he called police giving a false report I'd threatened suicide. 15 min later I was removed from my home by 6 policeman in an ambulance-3 days after the funeral. Never speak to him again.
I'm sick of mentally ill people. Not all, just the many who have a mental illness but are just a-holes too. Some of them know what they are doing, maybe a lot of them, and they know they can use their illness as an excuse.
@@ingc3852 A person with mental illness definitely can't use their diagnosis to excuse their behaviors, they need to learn how to be responsible for their behavior and actions (take accountability).
"Son, youve been killing the neighbors pets, so lets go out and take your mind off of things and bond by murdering some bigger animals" fuckin ridiculous 😂
I guess he was trying to give his son some sort of outlet, but I would have just thrown the punk out of my home or sent him to a psyche ward and dropped the fuck off the grid.
@@alienesang1492 No doubt, honestly there is no win in this situation. Maybe a psyche ward, I'm trying to think what would I do if that were my son. I probably would have tried to get him help but you do not attack my wife, and expect to be welcomed back into my home. But It's hard to find solutions for situations like this.
@@alienesang1492 He was slow and not bright at all though. If they had moved somewhere else without telling him anything, I doubt he would have been able to find them. But the guy needed to be fully locked down. It's ridiculous how you can tell that there's someone that dangerous, someone who doesn't even want help, who's assaulting others, threatening them, and killing pets (I'm surprised none of the neighbours moved out...), yet he can't be fully locked up because he hasn't done anything "grave enough." It's always like that...
@@Libellulaire The fact that anyone can hurt and kill animals without anyone raising an eyebrow is alarming. Try doing that here and find out just how little I value human life.
_Poor Devon!!!_ Omg... I can't even imagine what that kid is going through, with the after knowledge that his family was dead while he played video games. I hope he gets the support he needs. 💙
I believe, almost positive that they were married behind the same house by the pond. Believe the house was tore down and they built a new one . My oldest son details his dad's boats and they talk quite often. He misses his son Derrick alot, but sees him in his grandson. The murderers dad tried to get him help but was always turned away. Sad!!!!!@
@@jerrygarcia633 Thank goodness, a happy conclusion after this tragedy. Meanwhile I just learned that William took his own life in his cell years later. Coward.
We changed the laws here in the US in the 1970’s. Unless you have commited a crime, been convicted and are sent to Jail or Prison.. nobody can force an adult to take any medicine, go to for any counseling, live in a halfway house, seek other necessary care. States vary but broadly speaking if someone is about to jump off a bridge to commit Suicide or has hit someone harming them a 3 day Psychiatric Hold can take them to a Hospital where they are evaluated, made to take the meds and cautioned. Unless and until someone is demonstrably a current, present, immediate threat to themselves or others there is nothing Drs, Police, Family or friends can do. Most of our homeless people suffer Mental Health issues. Housing and every possible kind of care is funded and available, but is conditional on taking the meds and being in treatment. They don’t like how the meds make them feel, so they refuse. My 23 year old son was diagnosed as BiPolar 3 years ago throwing us into an abyss of pain. The only reason be is doing well today is he is in local jail and forced to take his meds. As a parent it is a nightmare which you now know will be for LIFE. Incurable with a much shorter life span. BiPolars are staggeringly successful at Suicide. Robin Williams was BiPolar as were, Anthony Bourdain, Van Gogh, Kurt Cobain, Jimmi Hendricks, Amy Winehouse, Heath Ledger, Richard Pryor, Edgar Allen Poe, Virginia Wolff, Agatha Christie, Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, Vivian Leigh, Liz Taylor, Carrie Fisher, Presidents John Adams, Lyndon B Johnson & possibly Lincoln. Winston Churchill suffered this too. Both Mozart & Beethoven had severe mental health crisises we would today call Bipolar. Napoleon, Plato & Issac Newton too. When cycling up, they are brilliant, ambitious, responsible, energetic, accomplished, charismatic and often Leaders. Brittany Spears, Robert Downey, Jr, Catherine Zeta Jones, Mel Gibson, Mariah Carey, Sting, Jeanne Claude Van Damme, Russell Brand, Stephan Fry and Jim Carey are BiPolar. So is Kanye West and many others who do not publicly disclose their struggles. Cycling down the odds of suicide are dreadful. It is harder to overcome than Alcoholism or Addiction and only Schizophrenia is harder to live with.
@@annieseaside in Australia they simply shut down all the government funded ‘institutions’ or ‘hospitals’ and put those patients into government housing. In theory, medical home visits for medication etc was listed as the ‘plan’. Of course that didn’t happen, and for the last forty years there’s has been chaos in the suburbs/residential areas. And then they create little communities where the residents were all suffering mental health issues. This resulted in numerous unprovoked deaths of innocent victims. It is still this way now. Shameful. The Australian government is a joke and has been for most of my 54 yrs. 😒
It's so heartbreaking that he couldn't be properly medicated. My only child, my son, was diagnosed with schizophrenia at age 18, he's 32 now. It was an incredible struggle initially with regards to the medications, getting the one that worked for him, getting the right dosage, etc. Then he would stop taking it and it was a true roller coaster. What his doctor decided was a monthly injection. THAT was the key and a godsend. He's been much more stable since the doctor started him on that regimen about 8 years ago.
off topic but you look incredibly young in your profile picture, i’d say YOU’RE 32 instead of being a momma with a 32 year old son, wow :o anyways, i’m glad your son has found a proper medication and wish him all the best!!
Hi Lillian, I had a brother with schizophrenia and yes the whole family is in turmoil at times. It was nice he did settle more in his later years so we have some nice memories of him. He died 3 years ago and he knew we loved him! My family are taking turns reading Hidden Valley road. It’s an excellent read and help to understand their illness more. Blessings to you Lillian.
@@howdareyouexist Abortion is MURDER! These “women” who constantly have abortions bc they are too lazy to take bc are no better than the mentally insane who commit crimes.
My parent's took me to the Longberer Basket factory/hotel when I was a kid in the early 2000s for a weekend vacation. They took you on a tour of the whole factory, showed you how the basket we're made, and then let everyone make their own. Really memorable trip for such an out there thing.
His Dad obviously cared a great deal. Weekends away? I know many fathers who wouldn't stop for a conversation, let alone a weekend away. Poor family. 🙏😫
How sad and horrible, poor Devon and his aunt having to find their bodies like that. Also Billy’s mom losing two of her children so close together. God be with them all. 🙏❤️😇
It’s a vicious cycle with some mental illness and meds.. you do feel better and think I don’t need these meds.. usually you felt some kind of way about taking them anyway. So it’s easy to stop. Then the condition comes roaring back worse than before it seems.. it’s a scary thing and pretty common. I learned the hard way to keep my meds going. Self medicating with drugs or alcohol was a recipe for disaster too.
Yep I've been through the same. For me as soon as i start to feel better I forget to take it, then my anxiety gets really bad, and whilst I am still shaky I remember to take my meds but when I feel better again I forget! It's ridiculous and I have made a real effort to try and break this cycle!
I never drank or took illicit drugs, but I have stopped taking meds before because they always get me zoned out. My doc found a combo that does not do that and I will never stop taking my meds again!! I'll never again forget the pain without them. With psycophrenia, you can thrive on meds. I have a friend that has two Masters degrees.
A very tragic story, but I have a question, why would Billy take him hunting and give him a gun. that is insane. I'm not trying to blame the victim because what happen was so bad, but why?
@Zardreth715 because guns are more important than people's lives there. Only country in the world were violent crazy people have easy access to weapons. Sometimes their own family members give it to them!. Yesterday, I watched the waffle house murders. The murderer was a schizophrenic young man as well. After several incidents with the police, they removed his guns and gave them to his father. Did his father keep the guns away from his crazy son?. NO! HE GAVE THEM BACK TO HIM!. He then went to a random restaurant and opened fire against all innocent clients. American people's behavior concerning guns is mind blowing, at the very least. I have no words to describe it. That country really looks like a violent, crazy, dangerous place.
I have an adult child with bipolar disorder who can be violent toward me. I would never, ever have a gun in my house for fear he might impulsively use it.
The freakiest thing about some of these more recent cases is that I can remember what I was doing the day they happened. I was filming myself dancing with a shopping cart in a parking lot for a goofy college film while this family was being murdered.
Isn’t it so odd how while our life is going on minute by minute with nothing to mention, other people are experiencing some of the most tragic moments of their own lives. It makes me shudder when I think about it like that. I have no idea what I was doing during the time of these murders. Probably something so insignificant and wasteful of precious time. Any minute that precious time can come to an end abruptly with no warning at all. Time is something that is often spent without any thought or appreciation at all…while I lie here in bed on a Saturday flipping through videos on my phone. I’m gonna go call my kids now.
What’s upsetting is that the law didn’t lock him up. As a parent you have to take a stand and defend your family and self even against another family member! Be careful and Happy Halloween!
You didn't even listen to the story? His dad cared so much about him dismissing his violent tendencies. I see you've been lucky and blessed in life to not have to deal with someone with severe mental disorders. If you think locking them up is going to help them then I have a bridge to sell you.
@@addie_is_me Actually, people suffering from schizophrenia are *statistically* MUCH more likely to commit *violent* offenses, including homicide, compared to the general population. When you say “minuscule percentage” - can you name me that exact percentage, as well as your sources? Thank you.
I’m sorry but Billy’s inability to keep Susan safe was absolutely disgusting. It’s actually disturbing that his son assaulted a woman in his home & he didn’t keep her permanently away from him forever.
I'm also listening in horror. He should have met his son outside the home permanently. This poor woman had to live with her attacker time and time again.
Great video as always, awful story. Poor Devin. I do wonder why Billy spared him after killing the rest of the family. Hope he’s moved on with his life and found some peace and happiness.
I’m guessing William let Devin go because he was due at the church that morning. If Devin didn’t show up for that, people may have started to think sooner that something was wrong and William may have had less of a head start for fleeing the crime scene.
@@katelynrushe9025 highly doubt he gave too much of a shit about being caught. Besides, he was slow and psychotic as well. There's no rhyme or reason to it. Probably just let him live on a whim or didn't wanna physically confront him.
Because he killed everyone when they were asleep. Devin was gone. BJ's mind was already satisfied and on a different track. I am sure he felt glee thinking of Devin finding everyone! So he got that payoff. He wasn't about to face his victims!
I can imagine him possibly developing survivor’s guilt over something like that. I just hope he knows that nobody was to blame for the event except William.
Addressing the question about the baskets. There was a company by the name of Longaberger, they were in business starting in the 1970s. The large basket was their office building. Showcased in your video. The basket full of apples or the apple basket was at their home stead. Where they would make the baskets.
My late aunt collected those and had them EVERYWHERE in her house(Kitts Hill, Ohio). I have one now from her I use as a laundry basket. High quality construction!
@@sheila623 I could never part with i- five thousand dollars?!?! Lol For real though, unless it was a stupidly high price, I'm going to hold on to it, one of the handles is broken anyway(crushed during a move), so it's not in perfect condition.
This is definitely the (so-far) scariest episode of coffeehouse crime for me personally by a long shot, simply because of how much I can relate to William if I'm being honest with myself. Step parent issues, mental health issues, being kicked out of what I thought was my home... I feel like the only thing that is different between us is in our mental health issues, in that I would never become violent or sadistic out of anger. But if I HAD been born with the same issues as him, it could just as easily be me Adrian talked about today, and that's absolutely bone chilling. (Also spooky Adrian vanishing into thin air around 9:20 and 12:18 ish)
It's easy for people to pass judgment on to others without not only living in their shoes, but without having the same mental problems as them as well. So it's nice to see someone else admitting that. Hope you're doing well in life btw
Yeah, I get it... I totally do. Circumstances were a little different for me, no schizophrenia here but I get it! One of my friend's brother couldn't live with his schizophrenia and put an end to his life... He was loved but his siblings were deeply affected. I often wonder if one of the brothers doesn't have cptsd from growing up with his unstable brother.
The saving difference between you and William seems to be your ability to look at yourself honestly. Self-reflection is absolutely crucial to moving forward in life. Good luck, my friend,
I live in Toledo and I knew Susan Liske (pronounced Lis-key). As I work for a union hall and she once worked for the Carpenters union, our paths often crossed. When I heard what happened I was in absolute shock and still am. She was a beautiful person and I think of her often - she didn't deserve this and neither did her husband or son. Its so awful what happened to her. Still so heartsick over it. They had so many problems with Billy and poor Devon had to deal with the aftermath. I actually cried when I watched this as it brought back all of that emotion.

Curling up with warm blankets, this video and a mocha latte on this chilly Sunday morning. Thanks for the compelling telling of this sad, tragic, violent event.
Sitting in a coffee shop watching this. As sad as it is that these events exist to be made videos of, I thoroughly enjoy your videos, especially when the criminals are removed from society. I think people need to know about these cases in order to be more vigilant and aware to the point where they might protect themselves, and others by calling the necessary help before the situation becomes as tragic as the content in these videos.
He wasn't a stranger, they knew him for years at that point. They were related, obviously not blood related. But they become step brothers by their parents getting married. It was him that was the problem. He murdered hiw own father, step mother & step brother. Btw there are step brothers/step sisters that see each other as family.
No one wants to believe a family member would actually do something so tragic and yet it happens all the time. As difficult as it may be, we need to protect the rest of the family and make some difficult decisions.
What a heartbreaking case for all involved and then to hear at the end Billy's sister also dying the next day from a fire I just can not begin to imagine the pain their mother must have felt. R.I.P to all the victims in this case, how incredibly cheated you all were.
A lot of people sort of predicted that we'd get to a point where paying for individual streaming services would end up costing way more than cable TV ever did, and boy were they right. It's ridiculous that individual genres now have their own streaming services, and I can't even calculate how many hundreds of dollars we'd need to spend every month just to have access to everything.
So much this. I cringe every time i see a new streaming service. Its like "yeah i already have about 22 active subscriptions, I have no interest in whatever trash youre trying to sell me". They all want you on that 3 month trial so that you'll forget your subscription is active and they can just quietly bill you in the background. Thats why the trials are always like 3 months, 6 months, a year, etc.
@@StainsStainsStains Just a tip. You can subscribe for the free months and immediately tell them you want to cancel your subscription on a specific date. So you don't forget to cancel. Like so many others, I really appreciate the dedication you have for crafting these videos. In many of them, you highlight failures in getting ongoing mental health. I have family who live in NY near Lake Erie, so this case really got my attention. That is such a beautiful area of the USA, and the people there are generally very kind, caring, and giving people. There is just no telling why this one child had serious mental health issues that pushed him into violence. But it does seem that keeping him out of a facility where his medication could be managed by professionals did not work out, and led to this tragedy. Thank you for bringing this story, and thank you for highlighting the importance of mental health care.

As a father, I disagree. A man’s duty is to protect his family physically above all else, including from each other. He should’ve done far more to extricate his dangerous child from his other offspring and wife. I can’t imagine how hard that would have to be, but it is a husband’s/father’s duty, in my opinion. This was a true tragedy, though.
If you still do unsolved cases, I’d love your take on Paul Swenson out of Utah. It was bizarre and yet the lingering major questions seemed to get brushed aside once his body was found but no explanation was ever given

A dad takes his son out into the woods to work on some bonding. That sounds innocent and a decent thing to do. In this case though it makes my brain go 'tilt' at the thought of dad giving the son a loaded rifle, letting him get more familiarity and practice. *sigh*
@@cdd4248 It makes sense to me. He thought his son had a fascination (due to his mental problems) with killing animals (ie killing the neighborhood pets). So he thought if he brought his son to a controlled environment with animals that we hunt for food, he could use that fascination in a more “constructive” way by hunting game. Like an alternative for his compulsions rather than harming people’s pets…Seems like a father who loved his son and was at the end of his ropes, trying to do anything he could to change his son’s behavior by supplying better outlets for his son’s quickly fraying mind.
How does someone throw everything away like this. His entire family and his freedom all in one day. People call is a mistake but this isn’t a mistake at all.

That first basket you showed was the Longaberger headquarters back in the 1990s and early 2000s. It's in Newark Ohio, I grew up exactly 1 mile from that building, crazy to see it out of nowhere in a crime video!
Holy cow, Adrian. I just glanced at the number of subscribers to see how you're growing. Growing? More like exploding! At this rate, you'll shortly reach one million. I have followed you almost since the beginning, and I have never seen a growth similar to this. Well done, and well deserved! 👏👍 🏆
The only one I’ve seen grow faster is That Chapter. It was in watching Mike that I saw Adrians channel mentioned so I popped over, watched one vid and subbed, he was in the low thousands then. I love that he’s grown so much an you can see that his confidence has increased with each video

I wonder y he didn't kill Devon too 🤔...
It is sad when things like this happen 😔
As a Mom, this story breaks my heart. Thank you for such awesome and compassionate content.

I wish "experts" and others would take animal torture and murder by sociopaths & psychopaths more seriously!! Ugh. This case is just horrifying.
@@ValerieBerezina sure you would
Facts. I believe in showing up for your children, but when your child is a psychopath and SA your FAMILY, they gotta go. Or this is inevitable.
It should be simple but of course it isnt. Torturing and murdering animals should be a death penalty. Punish them for what theyve done and prevent future harm but of course this is america, the most backwards entity to ever exist. Animal and child abusers and killers should be executed and processed into livestock feed.

@@PumaLynit does make you wonder why William spared Devin… very strange
@@Rob-cy8xc Bless her... I'm sure the stress probably did a number on her, but it's a job that has to be done and I appreciate her for sticking to it
@@Rob-cy8xc schizophrenia doesn’t cause someone to be violent. Majority aren’t, and are statistically more likely to be victims
Say that 🙌🏼
Yes, you have to realize there's a time when you're not saving them, they're taking you down with them.
Very well put.

He was slow and not bright at all though. If they had moved somewhere else without telling him anything, I doubt he would have been able to find them.
But the guy needed to be fully locked down.
It's ridiculous how you can tell that there's someone that dangerous, someone who doesn't even want help, who's assaulting others, threatening them, and killing pets (I'm surprised none of the neighbours moved out...), yet he can't be fully locked up because he hasn't done anything "grave enough." We changed the laws here in the US in the 1970’s.
They should have locked him in the basement at night.
Exactly. I don't know why the dad got guardianship. Makes no sense.
He's been much more stable since the doctor started him on that regimen about 8 years ago.
that is why we need more abortions

It’s a vicious cycle with some mental illness and meds.. you do feel better and think I don’t need these meds.. usually you felt some kind of way about taking them anyway. So it’s easy to stop. Then the condition comes roaring back worse than before it seems.. it’s a scary thing and pretty common. I learned the hard way to keep my meds going. Self medicating with drugs or alcohol was a recipe for disaster too.
Take care
Yep I've been through the same. For me as soon as i start to feel better I forget to take it, then my anxiety gets really bad, and whilst I am still shaky I remember to take my meds but when I feel better again I forget! It's ridiculous and I have made a real effort to try and break this cycle!

Wholly shit I didn't even think about this until now. That weekend I dyed my hair.

This was a really tough one to swallow. My heart goes out to Devin and I wish the very best for him. I know the dad really loved William, but it's not lack of love that William should have never been let out of the hospital, ever.
From all of the stories you cover, the parts like this one, where someone unknowingly sits around corpses for minutes to hours is just mind baffling to me.
Stay safe everyone ane have a great Halloween 🎃
If the bodies were all in their rooms,
late at night when you get home? hell I could've slept into the morning without knowing 😩
@@cheepymcpeepy too true, but when you would’ve found out..,I cannot imagine that horror you’d feel
Curling up with warm blankets, this video and a mocha latte on this chilly Sunday morning. Thanks for the compelling telling of this sad, tragic, violent event.

@@howdareyouexist Here’s hoping you’re okay and your dump doesn’t last the full duration of the video.
Channel is so under rated, this man deserves way more subs!!
This channel is growing SUPER FAST!
@@josmclove4426 it is, i just feel like he deserves way more eyeballs on his hardwork lol
Indeed he does. But i see its growing quickly.
That poor young man finding out his family was dead while he was walking around going in and out of the house.. Such a terrible heartbreaking story..
Sitting in a coffee shop watching this.
As sad as it is that these events exist to be made videos of,
I thoroughly enjoy your videos, especially when the criminals are removed from society.
I think people need to know about these cases in order to be more vigilant and aware to the point where they might protect themselves,
and others by calling the necessary help before the situation becomes as tragic as the content in these videos.
You and That Chapter went all in on giving us cases meant for Halloween.
Yesssss! Two of my favorite channels!! 🎃❤️

I couldn’t imagine my mom being murdered by some stranger we were forced to live with because the person she remarried had a psychopathic son.
He wasn't a stranger, they knew him for years at that point. They were related, obviously not blood related. But they become step brothers by their parents getting married. It was him that was the problem. He murdered hiw own father, step mother & step brother. Btw there are step brothers/step sisters that see each other as family.
I'd have taken him out the day he hit my mom. If I was involved the story would have been much shorter.
It happens. People break up and meet other people.
As a mother I wouldn't have had me,or my kids in that marriage.
@@roserocks1979 Yeah...I'd sleep with my bedroom door locked...with that psycho walking around the house. No way he should have had access to guns.
I remember finding your channel in the summer and binging all your vids in a day or two. You were around 151k. Well deserved growth!
Yo ho ho! And a bottle of rum!
I know...it's got out of hand
It is still cheaper in my country to have Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ than having cable TV lol
That way, the subscription ends automatically after the free trial. Canceling a few months ahead should also work for other contracts. Just make sure they confirm the cancelation for that date on paper or email, so you can prove you cancelled.
Host is one of the best horror films I've seen this year. Such a great movie. Just finished my work shift, so was nice to relax and watch this before bed. What a heartbreaking story. And the poor woman, losing 2 of her children like that in such a short space of time. Can't even begin to imagine what she went through.
Hope you had a safe and awesome Halloween hun.
You're doing a GREAT JOB !!!!
The voice, the narrating is really up to par.
👍🤘
It is, I really love this channel!
Really sad for the entire family. Tragic. I hope the remaining son finds love and peace in his life.
What I like most about your videos is how much theses crimes effect you emotionally because you are a very caring person. I, like so many, have a love/hate relationship with true crime. A need to know and share the stories for what feels like the right reason, but also not sure I can handle it emotionally. You obviously take great care in crafting your channel to be informative but also extremely respectful. Thank you for all the work you do on your channel.
Your second sponsorship! Adrian's making money moves and I love to see it!
Well deserved indeed 👏
Sad story especially when you think his family tried to get him help.
Love the professionalism and consistency in your videos, thank you for giving us such quality entertainment!
Hey dude, I love your channel and content and I'm really excited to watch this video when I get home from work today. I rarely comment anywhere but this is important becuase it's my first day working at a coffee shop in my local town and I'm very happy about it.
This is really sad. Your music choice at the end is spot on, Mike from that chapter uses the same tune, I love it.
Bro, It's been so awesome to see your channel grow. There are a lot of great True Crime channels on RUclips, but you have a vibe that's seriously all your own. Thank you sir. Your fans love you so much.
I'm stoked for the Coffeehouse Crime double feature this week. Shame there are no tricks or treats for today, I would have fancied a Twix.
I was a correctional officer at Warren Ohio 2012 and I remember him a lot he was quiet but would randomly go crazy and one time he beat another inmates butt. He was in a rtu unit. I couldn't believe looking him up when I got home and reading up on this case super crazzy
I live in Cleveland, they wouldn't shut up about this case for a long time it was so bad.
I just want to mention how well done your ad was.
The father did everything right. Despite the grim ending he was a loving father to the very end. Magnificent.
Except when he brought his wife's attacker back in the home to murder her.
@@Preservestlandry and gave him access to guns.
The father fostered his tendency for killing, and deserved what happened to him as a result. Easy. His wife and other child, however, are tragedies.
We appreciate the Halloween-themed details in this video 🧡🧡🧡
If you still do unsolved cases, I’d love your take on Paul Swenson out of Utah. It was bizarre and yet the lingering major questions seemed to get brushed aside once his body was found but no explanation was ever given
This is honestly both disturbing and heartbreaking, its so depressing that Billy had believed that his son could be treated for the better.
Thank you for actually looking up the places these things happen at, it shows respect and appreciation for all places in the world. So many just make jokes about “backwards America” without seeing some of its genuine beauty.
saw the pan of edgewater beach at the beginning and screamed j was like “I WAS THERE!!! I LIVE HERE!!!” realizing i shouldnt be excited about this

Great video, Adrian! And your Shudder promo was really well done! Happy Samhain :))
Man, these videos are addictive.
"not so affectionately named BJ". These subtle digs make me LOL.
Super informative video about a Halloween case I didn't even know existed. It does make one wonder could this whole situation been avoided had Billy decided to fully institutionalized his son earlier or was that never an option? Anyway can't wait too see the next one
That sponsor clip for shudder was quite well done. I always find them sponsored vids like shoving info to a viewer but yours was quite nice. Congrats on sponsors
A dad takes his son out into the woods to work on some bonding. That sounds innocent and a decent thing to do. In this case though it makes my brain go 'tilt' at the thought of dad giving the son a loaded rifle, letting him get more familiarity and practice. *sigh*
Agreed..I thought the same. Hey son, I know you like to torture animals..let's go hunting.
Especially one who has a mental health problem wtf was he thinking.
@@nahsik I dunno man maybe he wanted his son to have control of his life or in anyways have control with his actions
At least he paid for his stupidity. And what a price he paid lol
Dude, you deserve well over 1 million subs. Content is always interesting, entertaining, informative and high quality. Love your vids, keep it up!
“And more specifically North Ohio.” Lol that’s not terribly specific.
It is if you’re a Brit
@@FanfictionWoes Idk.... Ohio takes up about 75% of Britain's mass. The UK is fairly small, and it has loads of regions to it. "Specifically" would be like a county or city, not mass regions. Plus only about 9.7% of Coffee's audience are from Great Britain. Most are from the US and oddly enough, India.
Cases like this always make me wonder how did people can get so broken.
Inbred in the family
It would probably help if you could first learn how to imagine! From there maybe you could change it from unthinkable to thinkable. Number 3 would be you can call the people human beings instead of monsters because biology is important to everyone. After that walk over to the table to the right and drink the kool-aid. Just playing. I can't even imagine that I said that.
Yes!
Perfect perfect story for Halloween!

Not sure how parents and law enforcement see killing animals as no big deal, hello?? That just doesn't get better, it's not a "phase". It'll be a human next!
If every single human who killed animals grew up to kill humans, the world would be so unsafe nobody would ever step outside of their house.
