Took me about 7 attempts to free that little bastard.
At least I think that the most difficult shard trial (don't remember if it is a vessel or a mask) is the one on deep nest where you have to jump in A LOT of disgusting centipedes. I almost gave up.

So, my Xbox controller's LT button is broken, it's constantly activated, but I discovered you actually can super-dash if you press the Xbox button one time to start charging it and other time to release it, this area took me forever and kinda prepared me for the white palace, but you bet your ass I was going to save that grub... Then grubfather happened.
