A couple other quick news updates that I missed in this video:
    - Leonardo AI added a transparent background feature where you can generate PNG images with no background.
    - Runway ML just rolled out a "Lip Sync" feature - Type or upload an audio track to sync character lips to it.
    - HeyGen just released HeyGen 5.0, which is supposedly much more powerful
    Other Updates / Corrections:
    - Open Interpreter's Gadget is called O-1 (pronounced oh-one), not zero-one. Thanks to @AI-Wire for pointing that out.
    - There are also some good comments below about how Quantum Computing emulation is not as good as using a real Quantum Computer.
If I come across more news updates that didn't make the video, I'll share them here. Thanks again for watching! 🥰

The quantum emulator simply allows folks to pretend they're working with a quantum computer, but at the speed of classic computers. It doesn't actually have any benefits of a quantum computer, it just allows algorithmic development and studying of what a quantum computer can do without having to build it.

I think that they just used it for marketing, because it is simply useless. The biggest problem for quantum computing is the super position and how to read out what you need. We don't understand quantum physics, so we can not simulate it. I was a bit disapointed that they advertised it.

Matt, You are a gem. Your videos are helping me a lot. I am a semiretired (and probably will stay so) teacher (mostly ESL/EFL) and the pandemic cost me all but three of my students (from 48), so I must move to full time writing. I have taught writing at all levels and I am good, but I am also only one person with 24 hours per day available (18 if I sleep). I wanted a research tool to help with my nonfiction, but the only suitable tool I found is horribly expensive, like 25% of my current income, so I was looking elsewhere. Your video on free AI tools was excellent. I will watch it again as I test the list of tools. I will then use some to make my products. I plan to make books, videos and phone app animations for English as a Second or Foreign Language. I expect them to sell very well in China and I will keep them cheap, because .001% of 140 million students and more than 40 million teachers will make me very rich IF the product is cheap (so they CAN buy it). Thank you so much. I would love to see more videos of how to use these tools if you have time. Could you make these with an AI? Thank you so very much for your help. Karena Andrusyshyn

Great updates 👏🏾I’d challenge you on the musician segment tho, artists actually have distinct voices, in fact the most successful artists have very recognizable voices.
Granted how this will be enforced will be challenging, but I think it’s good to start having protections for artists.
What is likely to happen in a few years is creators that use Ai will likely want their works protected and will be calling for the same protections current artists are asking for.

In regards to the quantum computer emulator, the point of a real quantum computer is while emulating one is possible it requires an absurd amount of resources to replicate due to having to replicate the superposition of the qubit with extra classical bits. This exponentially grows with each qubit you're emulating due to the possible compounding relationships of the emulated qubits.

Non-quantum computers can emulate very low qubit quantum computers where the computation is still something a normal computer could handle. As quantum computers advance and do calculations with more qubits, normal computers will be left in the dust for those algorithms that work with quantum computers (not all algorithms do).

Everybody should voluntarily mark AI generated content, for several reasons, none of which has anything to do with it being "fake".
First, if you are using AI because you think it is great, you should advocate for it.
Second, AI-generated content is not copyright protected, so by marking it you tell people they may freely reuse it.
Third, if you also include your prompts, you can help other people learn how to use AI.
For example at work, I use a Midjourney-generated background for MS Teams, where I included both the source and prompt, which inspired several colleagues to do similar things.

Matt, you called it, "zero-one." But is it "O (as in the letter 'o', pronounced: 'oh') one?" The reason I ask is because it's funny they named it O-1 because it's just one letter different from the R-1. Which seems to have had a very strong influence on the O-1. The influence is so strong, in fact, that I can't tell what the difference between the R-1 and the O-1 is actually supposed to be.

Q* stands for quiet star (don't ask me why) it is like we thought originally, a system with a better capability of real world reasoning, using real world data. Digital twins and mapping of the real world are something that only OpenAI have the funds and partnership agreement to be able to access. Why does SORA look so real, because it can similate the real world rather than replicate. Have you noticed how the ridiculous prompts don't look as realistic? Because it has no data for that yet. However, you can input an AI image of what you want, and get the model to reason what that would look like moving.

the emulator for quantum computer can emulate the quantum computer properly, but up to a point, where the quantum computer eventually becomes much faster at computations. the goal of this is to test algorithms/techniques even without a quantum computer. (R&D in a way)

inference isn't training. the Blackwell chips will train faster but not the 30x, I've seen 2.5 times mentioned.. they can run the models after training faster though (maybe 30x?).
Likely they'll try to push Groq out of the inference picture eventually, unless Groq can stay relevant by performance or price or both.

    - Matt (in previous video about GPTs): unimpressed by GPTs.
    - me (commenting on that video): I've spent many days developing 10+ awesome GPTs, including one that generates actual consistent characters with Dalle3 (a very demanded feature), but no one finds them!
    - Matt (now): "there's just a lot of junk GPTs in there"
    - me: quits development.. 🤬

I think a good comparison of real quantum computing vs a simulated quantum computer would be that the real one has the benefit of having a neural network (kind of) in the hardware, using tethered quantum bits, whereas the simulation will likely be a lot slower for certain tasks because the neural network of quantum bits are simulated on the software side.
    Its software simulating hardware.

Size, scalability, and simulation vs reality.
That's the difference between a quantum computer and an emulator.
The quantum computer can do quantum computations, the emulator does a randomized version of the return of a quantum computer.
Think of it as flipping a coin until it lands on the edge vs code that makes a random number between 1 and 2 with an percentage chance of being 1.5.
Sadly a lot of the time there are no good analogies for the quantum. The emulator means testing software to run on the real thing is easier to do because you don't need the real thing. The computer model of the hurricane and the hurricane are VERY different things.
