I'm happy to answer any questions in the comments regarding options trading and stock market in general. Regarding my gaming content, I'll be leaving it on this channel because I think it can still provide a lot of value to so many people. Maybe in the far future I'll upload gaming content again or on special occasions. Other great Smash content creators I'd recommend are Larry lurr, Void, Poppt1, and Tweek.
Anywhere from $100 to $1000. it depends on what you're comfortable with losing/spending and what your budget is. $500 is a fine starting amount imo, that's what I started with.
Nice! I'm actually making a video that should be up on Monday or Tuesday talking about getting started and which stocks to consider buying at the moment. Only invest an amount you can afford to lose. Start small as you get educated and more experience. NIO is at a good price right now. If you contribute a little bit each paycheck (which is what I've been doing) it helps to grow the amount more because it compounds.
In some cases they can, if the contract hits expiration date and you're in the money. So yes there are some cases which this is true, but as long as you sell before it hits expiration date (which you generally should) then it'll be fine. Will be putting out a ton more content on options trading!
Swinging shares instead of options might be better for a small account, it's a lot safer since you can hold them forever without penalty. You might be able to find some affordable contracts for like $80-100 though. I have 65% of my account in long term investments. 5% crypto 30% for options/scalps/swings.
I'll make a storytime video about GME soon lol. I got in at $115 during the first run up with 3 option contracts. 😂 My opinion on GME is if hedge funds, brokers, market makers etc didn't manipulate it so much we'd see the insane squeeze.. and it should have happened already. I still think it's possible don't get me wrong but there's sooo much manipulation around GME that it's gross and has turned me off on it being a fair prospect. Basically a coinflip at this point imo since the hedge funds just keep delaying their covering of shorts and keep bending the rules for themselves. If we we're in a truly fair/ideal market I'd still be buying contracts on it, but at this point I have no idea what's going to happen. Squeeze is possible but big money refuses to take an L.
@@JulesTrades Look forward to the storytime video. I'm still holding my gme shares in hope of margin call's but I think if this drags on much longer I will be selling at a small profit :( It seems the manipulation is only getting worse as well sadly
If you have shares, you could hold for longer to see what's going to happen. or just sell half and hold the rest. It's a lot harder to do that with option contracts! It's weird because Reddit is ONLY ever bullish on it, almost to the point of a hivemind, which has it's pros and cons.
Great question! I keep an excel sheet of all my trades, and I set aside money that will need to be paid back. I treat it like margin. It's not margin, but I treat it the same way because I don't want to have a hefty fee in the end that I can't afford. I try to separate out enough for taxes from any of my big wins. Anything smaller than $500 I don't worry about too much. Hopefully this helps.
Hey, been a fan since your smash video days. But I have to criticize your recent trade videos since you focus too much on buying calls. Buying calls are very profitable but extremely risky as they can expire worthless if the stock price doesn't go your way. I assume a lot of people who watched your smash videos are new to stocks, I think you should focus on selling puts and selling calls as it is much safer for beginners.
Hey thank you for the comment! Oh yeah 100% and I state this in all my videos, that buying naked option calls are the most risky form of investing/trading. It just so happened to be a really good 2 weeks, so I wanted to show that. but definitely want to talk about selling calls. as well as just long term holds, dividend income investing as well. Still editing some other beginner videos that have a lot more in depth content, these are just quick updates that happened to be relevant these weeks. I agree with you!
@@JulesTrades Sorry for the late reply. But yeah I would suggest making a video on how to generate a 50-200$ a month safely through option wheels. I've been doing a safe wheel with a few thousand dollars of collateral and has worked well and helped pay some bills. 50-200 a month is a life saver for a lot people out there, who can't afford risky call option bets.
I use Think or Swim as well! Just most of my capital is in Robinhood because Fidelity transfer was going to take too long during GME hype. I think it's totally fine for beginners and people who plan on holding long term without day trading/swinging. The UI I think is a great starting point to then advance to more technical platforms.
Yeah it used to be, and my videos will remain on the channel. but I've switched the theme to investing and stocks, real estate for the future content. Maybe one day I'll post more gaming but at this point not going in that direction.

I want to learn option trading... can they force u to buy 100 shares?

Hey I think I responded to your comment on my other video prior, if you can find that thread.
