"Develop yourself professionally"....best advice i have seen given by a youtube trading guru...a buddy of mine tried to convince me we could trade full time and i am like why? I have a 6 figure job which is guaranteed money....I like trading but anything i make in the market is extra. Cant imagine the stress of surviving solely based on my trades...If a trade goes side ways its not the end of the world for me.
I had given up my 6 figure job to do option trading FT recently. Event though I made 6 figure but my work was not advancing my knowledge and the long hours exacerbated my dislike for the job even stronger. Fortunately, I have been investing for many years so I do have a good account size to trade for a consistent cash flow. I mainly sell covered calls, run the wheel, buy LEAPS and sell calls against the LEAPS and trading vertical spreads. I have learned so much from Adam and a few other youtubers about trading option. My heart told me do something that I'm passionate about and enjoy then my gut told me to go for it. I do not regret my decision because everyday I'm looking forward to trade when opportunities strike. Lastly, time freedom is priceless. I can do whatever I want with my time, answer to no one but myself. I'm no longer selling my time to a company. So making 6 figure is cool but having time freedom is even cooler.
@@CarsandCats Congrats! Even if I only make 80 to 90% of my previous salary via trading option, I consider that a win. At certain point, making a little more money does not equate to more happiness. If you make 100k, increasing it to 120k would not make a big impact to one's life IMO.
I hear what you guys are all saying...at a certain point in life the cost benefit of working for yourself trading full time may be attractive...but there are alot of people jumping into this thinking theyre gonna make a living when the reality more savy traders are happy to sell them contracts and take their premiums..for most it would be better to develop a solid career and use that fuel your investing till you have a substantial portfolio...too many kids, and theyre kids, think flipping options can be a full time job.

@@kane99560 Yes, I agree that most young kids these days think the market is the best way to get rich quick. These kids need to work first, build up their characters to deal with all kind of shit throwing at them in the corporate world. Invest early and always try to be surrounded by more successful people. Once they have a strong mindset, a good number of years of investing experience and most importantly a good portfolio size, then they can start to do their own things such as starting their dream business or in my case doing full time trading. You need to pay your due first before you can go tackle the world.

16:00 SO FREAKING TRUE BRO!!! I was making GOOD $$$ selling merch on eBay. Then when covid hit, I went to trading full time (sources dried up a little, but not enough to prevent me from making $$). I did well at first, but eventually I lost more than I made. Now with a little over 2 yrs in the game, I'm doing Estate Sales, buying storage units at auction, doing retail arbitrage, and developing a youtube channel focused on trading and flipping merchandise, antiques, etc. The mental freedom I have now that I focus on improving my life not only in trading, but in all areas of my life, is 100x more than if I just focused on trading. This is SO MUCH less stressful!
That’s exactly the type of work I’m gearing towards too. Started taking buying and flipping antiques & collectibles seriously back in 2018 stocks as well. Definitely a great business if you have the passion for it
Investing in the stock market is the best option to make a passive income. Virtually all the markets are crazy, most people pay more attention to the shiniest position on the graph, I’m keeping a diversified portfolio.
The decision to invest is an acknowledgement that it comes with certain risks. Not all investments will do well and some may lose money. However, without risk, there would be no opportunity to potentially earn the higher returns that can help you grow your wealth.
Remember, diversification is an approach to help manage investment risk. It does not eliminate the risk of loss if security prices decline. Because investing can be complicated, consider working with a financial professional to help guide you on your wealth-building journey.
Vivian Klaine Morgan, she is an expert who does the heavy lifting for me, she makes research on stocks, and adds my portfolio with stocks for monthly and yearly earnings.
A big problem is the common wording of that warning "most traders lose money". That makes people think they ARE successful traders because they make money. It should be worded "most people do not beat the index, long-term". Then people will understand that they may or may not make money actively trading, but odds are they would make more money long-term by just buying index funds.
I do similar investing strategies. I am a little different though, I concentrate my portfolio into around 5 stocks that I have done full DD on, and I really base most of my decisions on the valuation I spend hours and hours going over valuations and what I think the stock is worth. I look for low risk high reward stocks and I go long on them. If the stock is at rock bottom prices and premiums are cheap, I buy ITM leaps 18+ months out, I sell the leaps and convert them into shares then sell covered calls on them once the risk to reward of leaps isnt worth it anymore, If its a stock I dont just want to hold until it hits what I think its worth in the next year, and its a 3 year+ hold I just buy shares and sell far OTM CC's especially if the premium is good, I sell the 45 DTE CCs and exit the trade at 50% profit or 21 DTE which ever comes first, and I dont sell CCs after a huge drop. Im a long term investor but I buy and sell options depending on what my plan is, and I never buy short term calls EVER, I love the leverage that options bring you when the risk to reward is a slam dunk. Thanks for the video man!!!!

Not gonna lie Adam. Funny enough your the reason I started investing and options. You helped me start with $398 back in late December 2020 and I turn that to my first $1,000 and I remember I was so fucking happy to see that I did that. I was so freaking proud seeing the money grow and then I could $10,000 and then my first $20,000 and I’m currently chilling in $26,000 range. And the year is barely half way done. Believe me Adam when I tell you, I am very empathetic towards your plight & unfathomable suffering. I have no doubt that I’m perhaps one of the very few people you’ll ever not know that has gone through tragedies more often than I can count. I’ll give you a few for example. I’ll start off small. I broke my hip at 13, shattered my L1 vertebrae when I was 19, was hospitalized for a week at 24yrs from a severe car wreck, caught Coxsackievirus A.k.a. hand foot and mouth disease that Little bugger bequeath to me a temperature of 101° for 150 FREAKIN days straight and I peeked at 107.5°. At 40, I spent a month in the hospital because I was shot point blank range in my femur from a home invader. To top it all off, I magically inherited osteonecrosis. Because of it, I’ve had two hip replacements, a knee replacement, right shoulder replaced, and part of my left shoulder had cement and anchors holding it together. Thankfully through technology, bubble gum, and lots and lots of duct tape, I am able to walk freely and still have fun with my kids and my wife of 33 years. So believe me when I tell you, I’m no stranger to suffering, lots of duct tape and recovery. Thankfully I know beyond a shadow of doubt, that not only will you be back sooner rather than later, but in no time flat, you will be back better than ever. 🫡 Carpe Diem

Hey Adam, You said: "I lucked out with this gig" / "I stumbled into this by pure chance" Don't discount yourself. You've invested the time and effort to get to where you are. Thanks for all the help and awesome content.
I have to say this is the most Realist video I have ever listened to on Stock trading, and Options. I just got into option tradings and placed my first one on this past Friday. I am doing a leap and didn't even know I was. Yea I know shouldn't do options trading unless you know what your are doing. However, I said F&^% it and YOLO. I watched your LEAP video and have to say. Yea that is prob the only way I will trade Options. I'm not worried about the small cost to get in that I could lose. Thanks for this video Great content and very Realistic and Factual.
Here's what I've discovered over the last year of watching YT to learn about the stock market: there are more "trading methods" than there are companies to trade and they will all make you wealthy beyond your wildest dreams.
This was the exact position I found myself in. I feel every word that you’re saying so far. I tried to day trade options on a cash account buying and selling options. I had some great profitable days and some really shitty losses. My saving grace was that AMC was being extremely volatile and I made a lot of money one day and I lost a lot of money the next. I have finally discovered some sanity selling credit spreads far OTM for small profits. Lots of small profits equals wins. I almost want to make a RUclips channel about boring investing just as an antidote to all of this. And it’s nothing but holding credit spreads for days and cash secured puts in order to build a dividend portfolio.
Hey I’ve been doing this too for the last month. Are you still profitable? Spreads can really blow up if the turn against ya. I’ve also been thinking about starting a channel for nothing more then to spread the word… get it… spread… the word
Keeping small position sizes makes sense when you have a larger account. When your account is smaller most of your positions will take up 50 to 70% of your account. The real best thing you can tell people with small accounts is focus on growth and as your account grows start to shift over to doing trades based on a percentage of account size.
I agree with you about LEAPs. If used the same way you would hold a stock, they can be a great way to mitigate risk. If I have a $40,000.00 stock position am I going to worry about possibly losing $1500.00? Well if the leap costs $1500.00 and controls the same shares, then what's the downside? I think the main problem happens when people try to control more shares than their account size will support. So if I have a $2000.00 account, I shouldn't be buying a LEAP that costs $1500.00 because it is way to large a position for such an account.
I usually trade swing reversal with calls or puts. But I only trade them on good underlying stocks that are known to under or over valued based on analyst price targets. By buying myself enough time, if I’m ever wrong I just averaged down once the reversal is obviously occurring. Doing this has helped me gain so much on my account but obviously is extremely risky if done on only technicals, which is why I use THETA and PRICE TARGETS to help me swing the momentum while it’s overall trending a direction, normally taking the swings to the trending direction. I have yet to lose anything like I did before and I have managed to increase my odds overall. I don’t trade just the swings, I trade in directional swings, helps me stay sane and calm tbh, I don’t worry, I just play the odds and technicals to the overall price target and trend.

Started trading this year with 200$ in my account. Have over 10k now. Didn't do anything special, I didn't get lucky on crap like GME spikes... I just traded a handful of ITM debit spreads every day I could, spreading out over a few stocks to have a safe diversitfication but not so many I couldnt keep track of them. Would sell them after a day or to which would only make inbetween 10-50 per spread but I barely lost on any trades so it added up after a while. Spreads are great for small accounts because you get the power of a call, albeit limited, but theta isn't the same beast against you as it is if you just had a call; a spread doesn't have to skyrocket as high as a normal call/put would to be profitable, it just has to be at the very least inbetween the legs somewhere which should be easy if you bought one that's already ITM. Biggest things I learned - never FOMO, never trade on fear or emotion, never panic sell, never buy things with low chance of success no matter how good the return looks, and never buy straight OTM calls or puts especially with short DTEs. Long story short, learn how to turn your money into more money instead of gambling it all away because that's exactly what you'll do if you don't learn basic principles with options like these ^
Hi, This is an very unreleated question, but i hope one of you could maybe answer it. If i buy a leap at the strike price of 50 dollars with an expiration of 2 years. and after one year it's value decreased to 30 dollar. Funny how every ad i watched during this video were about "being a badass trader". "Imagine you were a super trader". Well, buddy, that's why im watching videos like this. Why i have all my assets in long term investing (im still novice-ish, i started trading a few yrs ago with pretty dang lucky success but took a break), just funded a new brokerage account and all that money is in companies i bought at a low and i see them going up. I lost a little, but as i keep putting money into the account im avging by buying more and when it goes up i am brushing up on my options trading now while i gather enough shares and capital to be able to use long covered calls and doing as you suggested to use naked puts once i have the excess capital to cover the margin. I got lucky before when i used margin bc i didnt have the money to cover but it definitely helped in increasing the amount of return. I love your videos, man! You're a genius and it helps you can explain it without being a badass trader but smart with your money
Alternatively, perhaps you think you’ve been doing all the right things but you still haven’t quite figured out how to use the Law of Attraction to get money. You need to be positive to actually attract things you want. The law of attraction is one thing, having the belief that you can actually attract what you want. Belief is key to everything we do in life. Everything we do in life comes with planning. I’m not here to convince anybody about anything..
Needs to be a step between buying LEAPS and just doing long term debit spreads. Selling a 0.20 delta call at the same expiry as the long leg can get you more premium up front, but you’re more at risk to the underlying going above your expected price at close and missing out on potential returns. I think the better approach in between the two is the poor mans covered call. More expensive up front, but over time you’ll get roughly the same premium from the short legs and you can flex the strike of the short leg as necessary when necessary as the underlying ebbs and flows in the long term.

Would you be not better using ETF's instead of spending hours doing DD.

John I know this was 3 months ago, but could you do this? I’d be the first to subscribe.
He literally says if you portfolio is too small, make some professional money and put some into long term stocks…

I got lucky before when i used margin bc i didnt have the money to cover but it definitely helped in increasing the amount of return. I love your videos, man! You're a genius and it helps you can explain it without being a badass trader but smart with your money
LMAOOOOOO the burp sent me 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You’re here ! Love your videos
@@LinguisticWhispers awe thank you 🙏🏾
I knew some weirdo would like that
Alternatively, perhaps you think you’ve been doing all the right things but you still haven’t quite figured out how to use the Law of Attraction to get money. You need to be positive to actually attract things you want. The law of attraction is one thing, having the belief that you can actually attract what you want. Belief is key to everything we do in life. Everything we do in life comes with planning. I’m not here to convince anybody about anything..
I miss videos like this with the real talk and speaking the truth about options and trading!! Hope you're getting better, love ya man!
Can’t wait to be making them again! Thank you!
There he is, been itching for new content!
I’m so glad somebody called out Ricky Gutierrez and I’m even happier it was you of all people lmao. Best stock market channel on RUclips 100%
Thanks for watching.

I've had this vid saved in my Watch Later for about 2 months or so, and I've watched it more than a couple times... along with other vids for Options n00bs, and still feel lost... DONT WORRY! Im not going to jumping with both feet while blindfolded, like how I started my investing journy... but damn i have so much to learn
What happens if I write a covered call and no one buys it? Can I just cancel the order and go about trading the shares in open market?
@@scottreesetradinginvesting7936 Cool Thanks
Adams the shit he’s simply honest,it’s hard to find good people.this g is smart, morally aware
*leaning in close*
Him: * burps *
Me: I fucking love you
But really, this video was the wake up call I needed
Bro honestly your so generous to be putting this out... im amazed they haven't shut you down. I appreciate you
Who are "they" in this scenario?
Do you have an updated option trade video for beginners?
Hi Invest in a secure platform and broker where you will not lose your funds. I'm new to trading, but I met Mr. Raini Titan here on RUclips where he teaches people to trade forex and stocks. which he guides me with a super platform and amazing strategy. I thought it was a scam, but finally I cashed my first $ 57,000 profit last week, he is very reliable and honest, he always tells me the actual time of buying and selling with 100 profit from his one-on-one master training.....Stay bless

spot on bro. and yah back to the whole "other creators are making newbies lose more for their own gain" makes a ton of sense considering next to nobody will do like a live, in depth trading video describing every move they make and why they did it for the viewer to grab a better and for real understanding.
You're so right. Over trading is such a fatal flaw. Many "educators" in this field are scammers and have conflict of interest. You and Anton Kreil are the only 2 who are legit that I follow.
Brad Finn is good also. Not as funny as Adam though
Stocky is also good!
"I barely got my finance degree" 🤣🤣👌
What a great video! He dropped so much knowledge in this and most won't even watch it a second time.
Hi, i like your channel your are so great at option . This is my first comment on your channel., please can you tell me by choosing debit spread what is the best strike for my leap option ? Buy in the money and sell out the money or deep in the money for both legs or both legs out . Regards!
Good vid. I like the no nonsense openness. I’m tired of these people saying “I made 400% returns in 2020 and I can teach you if you make me a star!” And I think to myself “buddy, I’ve averaged 450% per year gains over a 14 year history of investing and I still feel I’m nowhere close to being an expert. Doing it for just a single year doesn’t make you an expert at all!”
Also, thank you for being so transparent. The issue with most beginners is that they are trying to do this and make this their mainstream of income instead of using/focusing on their full time job to fund the stocks
What if I feel like I don't belong in the workforce?
Options trading is one of the most lucrative investment of our time but way to advanced for an average investor to make profits without proper guidance, I made my first millions after I met a popular broker Georgina Carolyn Sussewell in the US, I almost lost a fortune trading options myself, it is not as easy as it sounds.
I would like to start up stock investments, how do I make contact with her?
@@monanovak524 just look up her name on google she's quite known.

I’m going to have to watch this a couple times.
What stocks do you wheel on??
Do you have a channel for trading? Like a daily live?
Love these videos thank you man!! Remember, webull comments section is about as viable as public bathroom graffiti
This is probably my favorite channel. So much truth, solid info, hilarious, and I just love the outro music so much. 👏👏👏
I was just thinking about how you are the opposite of this as I hit play. Love that you don’t flood with content either. Quality over quantity. True class 👌🏾
I like how you talk, very refreshing and finally can understand things. Damn brother I found your 2 and a half hr options video last week and loved it please keep up this great work you do. Thanks GOD BLESS and take care.
Im planning to buy calls expiring in jan 2023, im expecting the stock price to at least double or triple by then, which means my calls would be very deep in the money by then, would it be hard to sell those calls that will be very deep in the money? Ticker is hexo if ure curious.

Thanks for keeping it real Adam! I'm just getting into options, and I've been going through all your videos. 👌
The honesty on this guy. Cracks me up 😂
I feel attacked 😂 you just described my life for the last 6 months. I'm definitely going to be checking out more of your videos though, that was some brutal honesty.
What do you think about buying deep ITM calls every three months and offsetting its small extrinsic cost by selling OTM calls. Wouldn't it be similar to holding shares at low cost?
Is there a way to apply the wheel strategy to LEAPS? I know I can sell weekly calls on my LEAPS, but if my LEAPS get "called away", what's the equivalent strategy to selling CSP?
I do this at times if i sell cc leaps and the stock drops a lot i buy them back to average profit and wait for the stock to recover to do it again. If stock goes very high ill get assigned early.
