When you find out Quantz compose over 300 flute concertos it's easy to assume they might all sound the same and be rather dull. This can't be further from the truth, they are wonderful works skilfully composed and inventive.
Quantz giving us a heaven of music so with so high roofs, is there any. what beauty of stuctures of tones we have the most happy experience listening to his masperpiece. We whome have a bad start of the day because of corona are of course feeling better now. Thank you great master of music.
A year ago, April 2019, I was paid to be a flutist's piano accompaniment of this song. Now, April 2020, I am going to play it myself on the Flute. Ah the memories..
Enjoyed immensely! Ideal to publish the score for music students. Delightful to listen to the flute's melody, an amazing rendition. Thanks for sharing.
Golly. How many flute concertos did Quantz write? And were they all played at the Court? Did Quantz have any time left over from composing to do anything else? I wonder if any recording company, and flute player, would be willing to take on the task of recording ALL of them?
He wrote 307, that we know of, and though that sounds like a lot, (and it's a lot) Bach wrote over 220 cantatas, that we know of, and some 35 cantatas, that we know of, that are lost. Haydn wrote 104 symphonies and some 70 or so string quartets, and there's Telemann, and then there's Sammartini and then, and then... All these composers were incredible. They composed concertos the way you or I write tweets.
Excelente.
I think the violins are modern violins, dont know about the flute, but the period violins have a different sound from the modern violins. They are using a lute, as basso continuo, in the second movement, and a cembalo, in the first and third movement, also as basso continuo, they are both period instruments. The flute, is a little complicated to tell if is a period flute, or not
Very beautiful interpretation, thanks for sharing! If you want to know more about the life of Johann Joachim Quantz, you can read a great article here: www.blog.der-leiermann.com/en/johann-joachim-quantz/

I love the amount of trills in the flute part!
Excellent !!! My favorite Quantz piece, Played wonderfully! Thank you for putting this together with the musical score ..... And perfect timing!

I've played the continuo for it and it was so much fun. Best wishes in November! I hope COVID-19 BS is all over with by then.
sounds like something right between late baroque (esp. the continuo) and early classicism.
Galant
Geweldig.
