    City is looking great, I would put the ferris wheel towards the back of the City
    it would give visual interest to the skyline

    I personally would get rid of the ferris wheel; but then again... I'm just not a fan of how it looks, so I'm biased. 😅

      @ChrisBricks02  16 дней назад

      That's fair! I quite like the set, but unfortunately I just can't seem to find a good spot for it in the city.

    I would shelve the ferris wheel. It is to big / rough compared to the high detailed modular buildings.

    • @ChrisBricks02
      @ChrisBricks02  16 дней назад

      I'm leaning towards taking it out, although it would be nice to keep it in.

    how about a dog park in the "dead space"? maybe with a little pond or something like that

    I really like the police station next to the tudor corner it looks great, but I think that if you swap the police station and the half baseplate building next to the boutique hotel it would leave space for the train and look better.

    • @ChrisBricks02
      @ChrisBricks02  16 дней назад

      That's a good idea! I made that custom half baseplate building next to the boutique hotel to cover the ugly back side of the hotel, but I'll try this and see how it looks!

    Nice video! I love the placement of these buildings!🎉 And aren't you thinking about getting the downtown diner modular?

    • @ChrisBricks02
      @ChrisBricks02  16 дней назад +1

      Thank you! I would love to get it, but unfortunately the set retired a few years ago so I'd have to pay a premium to get it on Bricklink or eBay, so I think I'll have to pass on it for now. Hopefully one day I can get it, and the other modulars I'm missing!

    "Empty space" he says having created the perfect place for a police parkinglot.
    At which point are you giving up and raising the whole expansion table? Nice with height differences, but it seems easier just have it all at the same level?
    Also lastly, how mad is it to place the Ferris wheel on top of the mountain?
    City looks great though, placement of the Tudor corner looks good.

      A police parking lot is a great idea! I'm not giving up and raising it all, I actually came up with a layout of buildings that I like and I created a raised platform for them (stay tuned for Wednesday's video), so that I can have the ocean be at a lower level than everything else, making it look more realistic.

    Love where you've placed the Tudor Corner. It looks great beside the police station. And I'm glad to see you've brought the Boutique Hotel out of its hiding place 😂. Definitely a good place for it too 😊

      Thank you, I'm glad you like it! And I agree, it's refreshing to see the Boutique Hotel when I walk in the room - it's a beautiful building!

    You should put a basketball court behind the moddulars in the empty space

    I really liked the Tudor Corner and Police Station combo. They fit well on your layout. I don't mind having the Ferris Wheel where you're planning, as its structure is almost "transparent". Maybe the only thing that may hide the buildings there is if you're planning to add a road ramp between the two tables.

    • @ChrisBricks02
      @ChrisBricks02  16 дней назад +1

      I wasn't planning on adding a road ramp, so that's not something to be concerned about - although I can't seem to find a good spot for the Ferris Wheel, no matter where I put it I'm not totally happy with it. I'm leaning towards taking it out, but I guess we'll see.

      @@ChrisBricks02 Yep, the Amusement Park sets are kind of hard to find a nice spot because of their size. 😅

    Obviously its your city and you can do what you want, but if it was mine I would never let that ferris wheel get anywhere near it 😂
    Love the new segment with the tudor corner

      @ChrisBricks02  16 дней назад +1

      Thank you! As much as I like the Ferris Wheel, I can't seem to find a spot for it where I'm happy with it. So unfortunately it might be staying out of the city.

    I think your "dead space" section could make a decent parking lot, a basketball court, a dog park, or a community garden.

    • @ChrisBricks02
      @ChrisBricks02  16 дней назад

      Those are all good ideas! I actually already have a community garden in my city, it's behind the museum!

    Excited to see that Tudor Corner has finally made it to your city! For the ferris wheel, have you considered rotating it 90 degrees? I think it looks even better from that angle. I also love the idea of a waterfront ferris wheel or even one placed in the middle of the water, connected to the beach by a pier, like the ones in Seattle or Santa Monica.

    • @ChrisBricks02
      @ChrisBricks02  16 дней назад

      That’s a good idea actually! I haven’t tried rotating it in the new position in the middle of the table, but I did try the different orientations of it while it was in the corner. I’ll have to try this out, thank you for the suggestion!

    It’s clear that A LOT of people are hating on that poor Ferris Wheel hahahaa, to be honest without any other amusement park sets (13:24) to make a nice open area where the Ferris Wheel could go and not feel so out of place, there aren’t much options. I’d put it on a shelf or other table for now until you get a new one. But overall, the city’s looking better and better!

    • @ChrisBricks02
      @ChrisBricks02  16 дней назад +1

      Thank you! And I agree - everyone wants it gone LOL. But I agree, I think it's better if I leave it out of the city for the time being, and hopefully if I ever expand the city I can add it back in and have it look right.

    The music and toy store look better on the other side of Tudor corner. Then the balcony doesn’t have the view blocked

    • @ChrisBricks02
      @ChrisBricks02  16 дней назад

      I think the building looks good on both sides of the Tudor Corner, but I like being able to see the billboard on the side of the Police Station, which was my only issue with where the Police Station used to be.

    A solution for the Ferris Wheel might be to use it jutting into the water like Navy Pier in Chicago.

    Remarkably enough, right here at the beginning of 2025 I have also reconfigured my layout a bit … the major difference is that over 90% of my buildings are MOCs … my layout doesn’t look like anyone else’s. Many people’s LEGO Cities look all the same to me. My recommendation to you is to either build more of your own MOCs for your city … and/or surf Rebrickable … so you can have your city be more distinguished and unique for viewers of your channel. Just my 2 cents worth 🤷🏻‍♂️

      I already have some custom buildings in my city, and I am planning to build more. I personally like and enjoy collecting the modulars and having a spot to display them, so that's why I chose to have my city this way.

    Greetings! I was concerned at first about all of the buildings moving around because I have become invested in your city, lol. However, I think you made the right choice as now you have so much room to grow the city! That said, you could maybe make the space behind the police department either an impound lot for vehicles or even a parking location for police vehicles. It will take some finagling, but just an idea so the space is not wasted.

    • @ChrisBricks02
      @ChrisBricks02  16 дней назад +1

      Those are good ideas! And thank you for following along! I think this was the right choice too. It wasn't anywhere close to my original plan, but I'm happy with what I've come up with so far! (except for the ferris wheel, I can't seem to find a good spot for it in the city)

      @ChrisBricks02 I think once you define the "coast line" you could make a boardwalk area where the ferris wheel would fit right in..

    I like the ferris wheel but I don’t want it right now I want the. Lego Home alone set
