Pinetab utilizing Gnome imo is not a bad idea, and I say this as a kde stan. Gestures and workflow on Gnome are very tablet friendly, so much that i use Gnome for my 2in1 laptop
Mozilla changed the world with rust, and greatly improved their performance by incorporating rust rewritten software into their browser. I wish they doubled down on oxidizing the browser. Also, love the flesh covered shirt for our beary friend in green ;)
To LC: Having a networking and cabling certificate, having the tools and also knowing how to troubleshoot cabling is always a handy skill. Having a custom cabled home lab with good cable management is a great thing to have in your portfolio. Also whatever you have in your portfolio, make sure it is documented using industry standards. Network diagrams, IP address maps, etc are important parts of being a sys admin. Being able to demonstrate that you can create and understand these things is something that the technical person in the interview will receive well and help you stand out. To Ryan's point about doing the hard things to demonstrate your passion, documentation is one of the hard things
Handwritten noteraking in uni was the reason I had bought a laptop with touchscreen and stylus support😅 It deff was not cheap, but it works wonders for a few years already and gave no problems while switching to Linux this summer!
No, privacy preserving attribution was turned on by default, on my non developer version, without my consent. Yet another betrayal. Last one. I dropped funding them privately and moved on.
Honestly I don't think it's rocket science to make privacy-respecting ads, it's the same logic we see everywhere else like TV's and billboards: serve ads based on content, not profiles. Gaming site? Gaming ads. Linux website? PC-related ads. Even on youtube you can serve ads based on the videos being watched no matter who is watching it. That's just some examples. The website owner decides what category of content it's gonna serve. No fingerprinting, analytics, cookies, etc.
We need advertising, but there is going to be a high price to pay for current abuses, including very severe regulations. If not, we'll block the f out them and they will get zip.

Firefox is doing it, Librewolf, Tor and Zen are decent - Chrome is killing extensions as this airs
WaterFox, FTW.
All of these are derivatives of Firefox and WaterFox is a derivative of Firefox so they all still need Firefox to exist for them to exist 🤷♂️ - MT
