Totally not related to the content, but I love how involved the kids are with the Channel. They saw Ben setting up the cameras and wanted to be part of it, which has got to be a great feeling for Ben that his kids are actively choosing to be part of things. I also love they have formed some of their own ideas of what they like, even if it is just "I like it if it looks Aston Martin". I do remember the 5 Lotus Model Plan and thought the Elan looked amazing. The problem today is cars are just huge bricks, literal boxes on wheels and most seem to have a design brief of "make it as ugly as possible" (looking at you BMW!!)
I remember seeing that reveal from Lotus back in 2010 and I loved the Elite concept and the Elan but the Eterne wasn't quite me. The Estoque on the other hand is one of the best looking Lambos ever. Don't fancy that Aston at all though. Great video!
In the late 1990s I nearly bought the one-off Lancia Gamma Scala prototype, which was PininFarina's 4-door version of the Gamma Coupe. For some reason it had been registered in the UK and was for sale at Bauer Millet in Manchester. The asking price was a very reasonable £7k, but in the end I opted for an Alfa 164.
I remember the Estoque being revealed and the overwhelming reaction being positive. Then again, I always did love the Espada, so maybe I'm biased :) Perhaps that's why the Rapide Jet has left me drooling . . .
I’ve always loved the look of the Rapide, elegance and practicality mixed together. I have a feeling the good and bad news is going to be related to the trading down 😅
Shadow Edition may be rare but all Rapide’s are rare, the Shadow Edition is a bit of a con sadly, used as a sort of decoy by AML to distract from the removal of many standard features on the Rapide. As of MY16 the B&O sound system, the grab handles in the rear and a few other standard items were now very expensive options. A decision made by Dr Andy Palmer at the time. The real pick of the Rapide bunch is a 2015 with TT3 and the second generation waterfall dash. Has all the kit and the updated engine and transmission. I’m very happy with my early 2010 car though!

Ah thanks man yeah these videos will be fun to watch back in 20 years for me and them! 😅
Aston Martin Estate definitely.
I've always thought the Lagonda Taraf should have come in a wagon version too!
Yep there is something special about a fast wagon 👌

Your absolutely right. There's hardly any really cool new family cars around. Even the Emeya is one of very few non-SUV GTs
Caterham project V 😙👌
What could have been ... the 2001 ford forty nine concept
I had to Google that! Looked crazy cool

That’s awesome 😅
Lagonda taraf, where?
They did make a batch of those 😍
Aston all the way of course Ben👍😎❤️

The Callaway Corvette C7 was quite cool as a shooting brake.
Guessing the Audi picture for the Urus was intentional? I laughed anyway 😂
Vw Toureg
lol yeah it was a Toureg 😅
Too subtle for you? 😂

Reviewing an Espada would be a dream, I’ll have to do one eventually 🙏

Hi Ben and girls, hope your all doing good.
I love the 4 door Aston Martin designs.
I loved the video.
Stay safe and take care.
Thanks Frank 🤙
@@dadcars Your very welcome Ben. Keep up the awesome work and videos.
Lambo
🤌😎
Lambo, all day long… funny they all look a bit like a QP, which we did get!
Not surprising I love the QP so much is it 😅
an Estoque is a matadors sword
That’s cool
@@dadcars which makes sense given the whole raging bull thing. Oh and Espada is a generic Spanish word for Sword as well
Problem is the concepts don't look like the production cars
Yeah seems to be the way often 😓 like when you see the McDonald’s picture then see your soggy burger in reality
Aston Martin - Rapide is a hidden treasure especially the very rare Shadow Edition
💯🙌

Thank you! 🙌🥰 yeah it might relate to that 😬
Lamborghini, Aston Rapide estate then very closely followed by the Lotus, Cheers for yet another Cheery video Ben and girls❤❤❤
Awesome 🤙 glad you enjoyed it!
😊
🥇
Love the tease, good news, bad news 😂👍
Yeah… feels pretty bad right now 🫠
I liked the Lotus the most out of the 3.
Wonderful design wasn’t it 🥲
Thanks!
Wow thank you Frank! 🙌🙌🙌🥰🥰🥰🥹🥹🥹
@@dadcars Your welcome Ben, anytime.
Why the hell Tesla never made a model S wagon is beyond me
That’s true 😅 wouldn’t take much to adapt the model S
To be fair, it's boot capacity is as large as most estates
I think @MatArmstrongbmx could make your dream estate. It would be a cool video to watch!
Oh absolutely 😅
