Excuse me, but with all due respect, It is against your definition you provided in the first video about "different types of study design", in which you classified case-series types of studies under descriptive studies group. According to that, descriptive studies are not looking for the causality as you do not follow cases to make comparison within the groups, nor make comparison between the groups (in cross-sectional studies). Nonetheless, you raise the following question "What is causing this?" in the case-series example, which is incorrect. You should say "What is similar among the cases and probably those similarities would be the cause of the disease outcome (as a suggested hypothesis)? One must be really careful with study design and what they mean to provide.
