Thanks Rick, I spent a good while trying to get them right, still, a more expensive sample library probably would achieve better results, but I was pretty pleased with the included Logic sample set.
@@mattvache50 Right, the whole song was really first class! What application would you recommend for combining say a couple of videos shot separately for a tune...I'm trying to come up with a way for my brother and I to work separately on some tunes...I'd really appreciate your advice...all I've used so far is a single external mic with android phone. I appreciate it Matt!
@@rickcurtis2983 Hi Rick, thanks again! The apps I use are all Mac based but I think equivalents are available on PCs and Android. I used my iPhone to shoot the video of Steve (bass), Jack shot his own video and sent me the files. My guitar and my head shots were shot from the web cam on my Mac and the screenshots of the sequencer were grabbed from the computer using its inbuilt screenshot app. All the audio was recorded using Digital Audio Workstation apps or DAWs - Apple's Logic from me and Steve and Cubase from Jack. These were recorded at the same time as the videos were shot. Using an external mic would be ok, but you do need a DAW to mix the tracks. There are free ones out there - Reaper is one I know of. I mixed the audio files into a final stereo track in Logic and then matched this to the rough video audio tracks using the wave form graphics in a program called DaVinci Resolve, which is a great free video editing app, available on all platforms. DaVinci and Reaper have a bit of a learning curve, but there are plenty of tutorials on RUclips. Have fun!
@@mattvache50 Matt you're the Man!! Thank you so much for the info, it sure helps to know how you go about it! I've been 'analog' for so long, I'm sure ready for a change if I'm not too old! Lol I'll be looking in to these programs...thank you my friend!!
A fantastic job Matt and a great pleasure to see and to hear this video about Vanessa, a great thank to this team for sharing this great job 😀 👍 👋👋👋 Greeting from Cl@ude 🎵🎸🎹
I listened to the original today on the way home from work then found yours online! You nailed the strings. Would you make the midi available for those strings? Just wondering.
It is very interesting and educational, thank you for your effort Matt, always great to hear from you
Those are the sweetest, smoothest strings....I love that sound, the quality is amazing!! Vanessa turned out wonderful!
