I still play and love NBA 2K14 and this was the last 2K game that had the -VC trick so you could make your MyCareer play a GOAT right put the gate.
This will walk you through how to do it even in 2021!

Thanks!!! this works on the xbox series x as of december 2023. Had to play 2 games to get a negative VC Balance... i maxed out my player to a 97 OVR.

NBA 2K14 is one of the best 2Ks there is in my opinion and this glitch makes it so much fun you can start as a Lebron James instead of a Kwame Brown… Never understand how we could be the most awesome star player in Collage and then play worse than a Elementary School Player soon as we hit the NBA lol Always hated that… I still play 2k14 to this day and have multiple careers and never worry about oh man I lost my 99OVR or retiring can start another in 5mins its the best 👍

I’m a little late to this but was your game updated when you did the glitch? Also did you sign out of psn?
this works patched or unpatched doesnt matter they never fixed it from the initial release so I even tested a complete clean install then applied any updates from the MS store and it works 👍 I did not do the glitch until after the servers had been shutdown as I could not access my old my player anymore which led me to try this.
It still shows my old customization because that is what my player was wearing before the server shutdown and is tied to my account looks like.

I reminder this back in the days but I did this without knowing cause that’s when I started
So I play first game with an F spend VC then play second get F and lose then it’ll work

technically yeah if you spend all you VC or Player points, or get it down to close to zero less than 10.
Then play the next game bad, get team grade F by running to other end of court, ask for ball then run out of bounds like 5 times, score 0 points .
It should put your VC below 0 , but if you already sign a contract and make 100 or more a game win or lose no.
This why you want to do it before your player is signed.

Nothing you can either play good or bad doesnt matter… You do the trick after you are drafted to a team.
Does the VC come back to positive at all when you do this or is the glitch permanent
Its permanent for that my player but theres no point in wanting it to go out of the negative (Actually just makes the VC disappear completely) as you can buy every single upgrade in the game including dunk packages, literally everything so why would want it to come back?

Is there a way to do this in offline mygm? I'm trying to purchase a team and I have all the requirements expect it literally cost 50,000 vc to buy it and I really don't want to grind for that long to purchase the team.
No this is only for My Player… but you can sim VC kinda easy in MY GM simple pick Miami and SIM all the way to the end and majority of the time will win the championship and get VC… then delete that team and do it again as MY GM unlocks once unlocked never go away and are carried across all MY GM saves new or old.
@@mattskx I mean, I already did that for the most part. The Problem is if I start over it erases VC. I already have all the requirements as the owner, I just need 50,000 offline vc basically. Are you basically telling me I'm just going to have to keep the same profile to this point forward and play it until I get 50,000vc?
How did you get the in game accessories?
I had the game before it went offline , so thats the wierd part about it any accessories you back before they took the servers down you are stuck with I couldnt remove them even if I wanted to unless I delete my save but then i would have none… But this always made me mad as the accessories i got them all offline myplayer so theres no reason just because the servers are offline you cant equip accessories but they removed the player closet which in-turn doesn’t let you change anything even the shoes, even if you get signed by nike and you create a new shoe you wont be able to wear it lol

You cant have 0vc it has to be a number above “0” I usually have 3-8VC or anything under 10… Then you simply get an “F” grade for teammate grade which is -50 and your team MUST lose game also… So when the game ends you should see -50 and no +anything… And if you had 10 or lower VC it then goes into negative which basically removes the VC number … But you cant do it with “0” VC you have to start play a game with 2-10 VC, lose , F team grade -50 VC and then it should work you are missing a step… Either you are trying to do this with 0VC or your team is winning, or you maybe are completing goals during the game, something as this still works 100% 👍

Yeah this glitch/cheat is the best I also had a 99 overall before they shutdown the servers long ago and it never let me switch the player to offline mode so I was so pissed … Now I have like 3 different my players on 3 different teams and its awesome.

yes you can unlock any shooting, or dunking, even skills… only thing you cant get are accessories. Its awesome you can make a level 99 with any shooting forms, all dunks, and almost anyskill you wamt (besides the 3 you earn from playing)

Cant because the servers are offline, its really dumb considering all the accessories are available offline and it keeps the ones you had before the servers went offline which is why you see my guy has some. I do know PC version of the game has mods to allow you to add them but I never went into that.

My MyPlayer is from before the server went down so this was the last thing equipped to my character when the servers went offline so long as i never get rid of my save i keep them for all new offline characters i make.

I dont think I got drafted to the cavs im pretty sure i traded over. ill have to test again but pretty sure you can never be picked over Anthony bennett no matter how good you do in the Rising Stars game against Ellis. Unless I did really bad on purpose and got picked by them later in the draft. Sometimes tanking the Rising Stars game gets you drafted to the team you want instead of playing good in the Rising Stars game 👍

lol I know the feeling that is why I always say DO NOT COMPLETE ANY GOALs during a game if possible I think the play in 1 NBA is unavoidable but aside from that, constantly ask for the ball from teammates and run out of bounds, when on defense run to the other end of the court do everything you can to get an F rating then you can foul out of the game to prevent getting accidental VC lol Also your team has to LOSE cause if you dont lose you will gain VC which can usually mess up the whole thing.

no after the showcase and you get drafted, you then tank on that team can be the very 1st game just spend all you VC to below 10 , then get an F team grade and i would go out of bounds 4-5 times as that drops the VC but the main thing is the -50 for F teammate grade if you get an F you can then foul out and as long as you VC is less that 50 i go low like 10 Max and you dont complete any goals of dynamic goals you should go negative and will score no VC thats how you know it worked

Yeah draft doesnt matter just need to spend all VC to get to 10 or lower , then next game you play get an “F” teammate grade and ask for the ball and run out of bounds a good 5-6 times , dont complete any mission goals dont even make a basket and assist nothing… then can foul out game … If you did it right you VC will go below “0” and you wont even have VC it will just have your gamertag and nothing next to it VC should be gone… then buy anything you want 👍

Sounds like you have NBA 2k14 for the Xbox 360? If you do then the menus and everything is like NBA 2K13 but the trick should still work I did a video on how to do this for NBA2K13 so if you follow that it should work… (the games and story wont be the same but its the same idea, get drafted use up almost all your VC get it to 10 or below just not 0, play a game and get a -F for teammate game and make sure your team loses the game.

If you change team you can otherwise like the regular clothes your player wears while driving in the car or talking to coach and gm nope , cant change shoes either. Now if you play on the PC there are mods to do that ive heard but not on xbox.

Should install if your doing it from disc… You may need a complete wipe of all info. Did you ever have this installed before? If so you may need to delete the games reserved cache which shows up under saved games section when you got to “Manage Game” on the xbox… Now if you dont have anything from NBA 2k14 installed sounds like a bad disc try cleaning it with some dishsoap and drying it with a micro fiber towel Ive fixed many games I got used from gamestop like this… Make sure its dishsoap as that is what removes the grimy fingerprint grease that people get all over there discs … If the game is scratched up you can try resurfacing it with 1 of those cd resurfacing tools but they are risky sometimes they work and sometimes they make it worse… Aside from that best bet buying a used copy of ebay its total worth it nba2k14 still 1 of 2ks best basketball games in my opinion..

In your 1st season no you ca not, best you can do is lower the minutes per quarter to lowest which I believe is 6... Season 2 you can sim all be key games team decides are important. But keep in mind you get more VC playing games little to none simming them.

Its should just the menus are different, NBA2K14 has the menus of NBA2K13 and this trick worked on NBA2K13 on the 360 so it should work.

Sorry I only have the disc version . I tend to buy all disc versions of games this way I can play the game without patches if I need to and also incase MS decides to remove it from their online store.

how many games does it usually take
You can do it in the 1st game you play in rookie season which is probably best time to do it. Just make sure before you start the game to use any VC on anything to get you under 10 VC. Then make sure you do not do anything that can give you VC in that game No baskets, No passes, No blocks, No rebounds, No picks…. Just ask for the ball and runnout of bounds a bunch of time to get more -VC and make sure you get an “F” team mate grade this is easily done when the opponent has the ball run to the other side of the court and you will get “Leaving Assignment” which will drop you Teammate grading super fast.
Once it is “F” make sure your team LOSES they have to lose… This is why whenever your team has the ball ask for it and run out of bounds to give them the balk back.
If all is done correctly you should get -50 VC for “F” teammate grade and NO VC for anything else… That combined with all the turnovers should easily put you into -VC you dont actually see -VC you will just see that VC is missing next to your My Players name then buy all the most expensive stuff , then max all your stats , buy all dunks, layups, etc.. and Get ready to be an NBA GOD in your Rookie season :)

Hmm that doesnt make sense you had to have missed a category theres gotta be a few missing points you missed as NBA 2K14 they didnt cap any of the builds from reaching 99 OVR

I think there may be a few combinations that result in a lower than 99OVR ill give you mine that is 100% will be a 99OVR plus a straight monster in basically every category…

6’10 - 235 - 245
Should end up playing PF as your 2nd position even if it shows you as a SF/SG due to your size they will put you in as a PF
Also make sure to make the player 18years old as the players stats start to decline at between 30 and 35

As do i , I have 3 new my player careers , 1 to the trail blazers, 1 to the timber nothings, and the other on the kings lol im trying to get drafted to okc or the bulls but never happens thats only thing i hate about 2k14 is the draft is scripted as hell…. even if you tell the team that interviews you too kick rocks and the team you want to go to answer all the questions so they love you , the crappy team always picks you… the trail blazers is best ive got so far… and crazy thing is whatever team picks you they still get the player they originally drafted so in my case trail blazers picked me #7 and still got cj mccullum with the #7 lol happens for every team

Nba 2k14 didnt have a cap you could get any player to 99 overall long as you maxed out all their stats and you do that by doing the trick in this video 👍

it works had to have done something wrong. You most likely had too much VC before the game , or got VC during the game , or both so when you got the -VC for an “F” teammate grade you didnt go under “0” or your team won the game your team MUST lose the game you do this in.

Well dang seems everyone is snatching them up and price gouging them… Amazon forget it unless you want to spend $30-$50 … gamestop doesn’t even have pre owned ones anymore… Ebay looks like best bet but get the XBOX ONE version not the XBOX360 one. It works on the 360 one its just not next gen graphics. MS pulled it from the store but you can still buy a code for it but id go with a disc.
