I’m wondering if we can do some kind of poll for the next book club read…or we could continue the Eragon series. Just my thoughts. I think we are having a great time reading it together. ❤ Also, loved this video ! I always watch Allison, she is so creative with her game ideas. She also has some spin wheels that help her pick between three books and I’ve always thought that it’s fun to watch those. Maybe you could try something like that. 🐺

I have Sims 4. I am new to it on MacBook air. I am having difficulties opening up the game. Do you have any suggestions?

What a fun video! I'm not a gamer, like a negative gamer lol, so I've never played Sims. It looks fun but I think it would turn into a huge time suck for me (know thyself, right?). I like the variety of books you read this week. I'm interested in Ashley Winstead's book (I've only read one of hers) just to see where I fall on the spectrum of readers. I've seen a huge range of reviews for this book, so who knows where I'd fall. I didn't love In My Dreams I Hold a Knife as much as some other people but thought it was decent. I think her romance books might be more my speed.
Ohhhhh the sims can be a MASSIVE time suck! I can get sucked in for hoursssss sometimes! 🤣 it was a really good variety week - i say go for Midnight is the Darkest Hour! I’ll be interested to hear what you think! 🌸
Ahaha my bookclub read Midnight is the Darkest hour when it came out and I think the vast majority of us did not like it much. The most common ratings were like 2-3.25 stars. We were all disappointed with it big time 😅
Even though my rating was just a tad higher than your book club's average, I totally agree - it was definitely a weak book! I think if she had cut 2 or 3 plot points out, it would have been much more refined. The whole book just seemed like TOO MUCH. 😜
I am so confused! lol I read Bride and gave it 5 stars 🐺 but for the life of me I don't know what third act conflict you are talking about. Did you leave a Good Reads review with a little detail? I am generally curious and obviously have an awful memory! lol

The best game ever 🩵 I actually sat down for 30 minutes yesterday & played 🙃 Gilmore Girls is my FAVORITE show of all time! Obsessed with it! I've seen that challenge going around, but don't know if I'm signing up for a week of classics 😬 I think Rory is just too smart for me! 😂

Totally agree with the Nanny, it was meh. I found the characters annoying , also I don’t think I really like the single dad x nanny trope cuz of this, or any single dad ones :(
Romance books with mature, like-able, normal characters are SO hard to find! The insta-lust in this book was just bleh 😒

I will say you are loosing out by only playing Sims 4, it is the worse sims game of the franchise. Sims 3, in my opinion, is superior.

Haha! I was cracking up reading all the comments as you progressed through the video - omg girl, you should see my PC Sims..it's out of control & unhinged. Completely modded with 75,000+ CC. 🙀 But for my editing computer, I just grabbed the base game while it was free. Did you see this weekend they had a 40-60% off sale?! I MAAAAAYYYY have grabbed a few expansions for the editing computer since I got a lot of comments wanting this to be a series! 🥰
Full disclosure: When the Sims 4 first came out, I was right there with you...it felt incomplete, a bit boring, lack luster, & a step down from The Sims 3. But now, with all the packs, mods, & CC, I actually prefer 4 to 3! I wasn't a huuuuuuuge open world girly so the loading screens in 4 doesn't really bother me. Now when I switch back to 3, it feels less immersive to me 🫢

Hahahaha! I know a lot of people feel that way but you can’t deny that the graphics on 4 are FAR superior! Also, once my game was fully modded, it feels much more realistic! But I do acknowledge that a lot of people are diehard sims 3 fans! 🎉

I order everything EXCEPT for some of the kits, which I feel like they release TOO many of. It seems like a new kit is released every 2 weeks 😂 I kind of pick & choose the kits based on what I think I will use. If it's mostly items or create a sim, I skip since I get that stuff through CC anyways!
