The WMS Heil POD System

- I was originally planning on saving this video to be one of my last uploads from my trip, but I just couldn't wait to share it! The only time I ever got to see a Heil POD in person was when I was only maybe 3 or 4 years old, and thus had little recollection of it. After discovering that they still existed after joining the online refuse truck community, I made it a goal of mine to see one in person again. I always hoped to be able to make a video outlining the versatility of the system, and thanks to Mike and Scott, I finally got to make that happen! In this video, you will see Heil POD's mounted on FWD MF42-3321 chassis collecting carted residential waste, commercial front load dumpsters, as well as a rare look at the body transfer process! I hope you guys enjoy this video as much as I do! Unfortunately, these trucks are slated for replacement any day now, so this will likely be one of the last videos of these unique trucks! Thanks for watching!
Wow...I miss these PODs like crazy. Would be nice to see the concept brought back by Waste one of these days, though whatever it would be, nothing would be as cool as these FWD PODs.
it looks like the CCC ifl (integrated front loader)
Now the transfer part is something I had to see, definitely a top job getting that on video! Looks like a bunch of skyscrapers in a city =]
Lol, the can't. I had a video a video years ago of one trying, and then later picking up several two yarders that replaced the single 8 yarder.Unfortunately, I have no idea what became of those clips, as they were never posted, or backed up. Sequim used to have a bunch of 8 yarders, and now, you won't find a single one in Ex-WM territory, yet you'll find at schools that used to have 8 yarders 4 2-yarders.
At 2:50, was he saying what the hell to you or the truck? Lol. Was the driver friendly? I'd love to see a POD try to pick up an 8yd! Awesome video!
I think he was asking if the videos were for class or “just for the hell of it 😂”

Very cool that you got a video of the transfer process!
Awesome compilation! Nice to see the POD body transfer!
Holy Crap what the H*** Is wrong with the back up beeper? That is funny lol
HEY!!! DON'T SAY THAT!! >:(
it is funny though.
@@mercypace5464 What? Also nice reply to an 8 year old comment
@@JMANWiSS Yeah the new sound on the back up beeper is on purpose. All the beepers in Australia are like that now. Is to do with the ear and brain being able to correctly triangulate the direction the sound is coming from.
luv it luv the pod system its like a roll off with compactor and heave duty arm
Amazing video. Very interesting how the body transfer works. What are they planning on replacing these trucks with?
New cng trucks
Great video. Never seen trucks that use commercial compactors as a body before. Do they collect the recycle with the same type of truck?
Awesome video, that is such a cool system! Shame it's soon to be no more, thanks for uploading!!
Gasp WM Rehigs???? I thought WM was mostly Cascade with a FEW toters and Rehigs in there.at 5:58 that Grey Rehig Husky lite dont know the gallon but we have one of those it is a former onyx cart with a veolia sticker and its dark green
Wisconsin Sirens & Signals cascade over rehrig any day.
Awesome vid! Really love those PODs. Great job on getting the body transfer, how many of those bodies did they have compared to trucks?
probably around 3 or 4 but idk
Cool truck body . Do they still exist? I would love to see hopper/ packer footage
Absolute best Pod vid yet :-)
Always great to see a POD
The transfer process is like a roll off truck
it looks awesome! but i don't like that grey panel on the hopper :P P.S. How many PODs they got here?
What they do with the full container?
I think he said is this for class or just for the hell of it. lol
Tyler Rathbun I
Amazing footage! And amazing to see how the pods are put on! Suck a unique truck!
it's still pretty cool though. =)
Heh, little hunchback of Notre-Dame
He said, "Is this for class or just for the hell of it"

not trying to be rude but, that is just a front loader.
Not a normal one.
Its a rare now extinct front loader!
