I must say, this truck impressed me a lot! I had a vague idea of how they worked from brief discussions about them in the past, but I figured they'd be pretty shitty, inefficient trucks, but I certainly stand corrected! I was amazed at how much the hopper could hold (3-5 carts typically) and at how fast and effective the packer cycle was!
Great stuff! The Burro packer is really cool, but I sure wouldn't want to be the driver. Good thing those carts aren't very full or large. A higher dump tipper would help I guess. Seeing the FL driver tip the body into the hopper over and over just to have more trash keep coming out was really cool too. Unique all around. Shame about these being retired, but I'm sure the drivers will prefer the new trucks over this and the Stagg.
Man that is just epic! Funny how this came to fall in to order at pretty much perfect timing. Man if the driver wouldn't have allowed filming I would have been ticked esp with an oddity like this! Surprised the sup. didn't care knowing WM... And then there's just the fact that you got it dumping- insane!!!!! Sucks that driver is a tool, what did he say exactly? And what did he say to the fuzz??? They ever show up? Again PHENOMENAL video!!!!!!
Very Impressive! Not everyday you'll stumble across a rare truck with some interesting history from large haulers like WM!!! Totally agree that this truck packs just like the Heil Collectomatic! Was lucky enough to see that truck in action almost 30 yrs ago whn I ws young! Like how the packer body slides off the rolloff hoist body then converted to a FEL bin for pickup!! Really sucks that the FEL driver caled the cops on you:(
What an awesome find! That sucks the FL guy called the cops on you. You guys are always having the cops called on you when you are filming. That's just stupid for them to do that!
kept looking up WM for diamond bar on google maps too see if they still have this in the yard but it keeps directing me too WM santa anna lol also there is a waste connections in diamond bar but there is no info except it says they have a office in ca arizona alaska weird lol

Very cool truck, and it's very cool you even got it unloading too. Sucks what happened with the front loader driver.
And great job getting this one for historical purposes... I would be shocked if there were more of these still running anywhere.
