Great trip Ian. Snezka is bountiful place and there's something magical about winter in the forest.

Thanks for watching Peter. Yes, a beautiful area and one that I’ll be exploring for the rest of my life…

Beautiful Ian 😍 I was thinking the trails were pretty good going for the amount of snow until you showed off your micro spikes 🤣

Thanks for watching Niall. The main trails are maintained and cleared because there are so many people that visit. The spikes were pretty essential coming down because of the steepness. There’s nothing really technical in these hills (other than the elevation and weather) - everything is extremely well marked…

Absolutely gorgeous. I was wondering are the trails devoted solely to hikers? It looked a perfect place for fairly challenging cross-country skiing but in Finland, the hikers and mountain bikers have the trails until the snow arrives and ski-tracks are made, after that you cant walk any more on them. Also what audio book were you listening to?

Thank Kevin. There were a couple of people skiing (down) and snow-shoeing. I’m pretty sure mountain bikes avoid these main trails and stick to the miles of trails lower down.
The book is ‘Map Addict’, written (and read) by Mike Parker. It’s well worth picking up, especially if you’re a fan on the UK’s Ordnance Survey…
