Have just bought one of these and have to say it's one of the best Strats I have owned in 30 years of playing them. Not only do they sound great but the improved body contours, medium jumbo frets, useable trem and overall fit and finish etc make for a truly awesome Strat experience for very reasonable money.
Thank you Fender for giving such a great purchase experience and not just sitting on your laurels and heritage like the other USA guitar manufacturer. Many thanks also to the skilled Mexican workers for building such a wonderful guitar to such a high standard.
Still one of the best purchases I've ever made. Absolutely love my Fender Player Strat!

Players series fat strat is the most versatile guitar fat strats in general are the best of both

Fender rules! Last week, I had the unimaginable good fortune of being able to visit and tour the Fender factory in Corona, CA. That place is absolutely amazing. Believe me when I tell you it is 100 times better than Disneyland! I will never forget the warm hospitality I received while there, and the friendly faces of everyone who works there. I also was able to check out the Gretsch Custom Shop. Talk about beautiful guitars...everything they make is a certified fine work of art!!! Fender and Gretsch are the best! Don't get me wrong, I love Gibson too. But, Fender and Gretsch will always be my personal favorites. I can't love them enough!
Has it been re-opened for tours to the public? When i called them a couple of years ago, they had discontinued tours, but thought they might do them again.... Or, are you just a VIP or somesuch?
@@CentaurusRelax314 I was told that they have discontinued public tours. I got lucky because I needed to have a special Gretsch Custom Shop guitar repaired. I will never forget that experience.
I went to the Martin Factory in Pennsylvania I got to play the telecasters they had in their little “studio”
I'm in love with that Buttercream HSH with coil split. Now that's versatility!. I have to get it.

Just got a sunburst, player with humbucker, love it, I'm 70 years old , played 60,s and 70,s top twenty stuff country etc. I'm really impressed. Great job and many kudo,s to you guys.
I have a player series sss strat and its the best guitar purchase ive ever made. Ive stopped playing my Ibanez RG prestige and this strat is my main guitar now. Great finish, build quality and plays really well.

I bought mine last year from a store in Germany after playing it for no more than 10 minutes. Instant love. I love the fact that John plays with the bridge close to body, the same as I do. The guitar sounds creamy AF on my Vox20VTX.
I've got an HSS Player Series Strat. The 650$ is worth every penny.

I just got a new players series Strat SSS in lake placid blue and it's such a beautiful guitar! I absolutely love playing it. The pickups sound incredible, the neck and body feel great too. All around top pro quality instrument!

Recently bought my daughter a player series and it rivals my $4k Les Paul dangerously close. Always wanted both and now I really want to buy myself the plus top tobacco sunburst.
Had my player series since 2020 and haven’t done anything to it besides replace the string tree and have it set up the way I like my guitars. I don’t plan on doing any upgrades to it unless something breaks and this does everything I need from a Stratocaster. This might be Fenders best selling guitar range in recent times.
Am I the only one who thinks that his voice sounds EXACTLY like John Mayer?
Not to mention that his name is "John Dreyer"?

I wish there would be more Fender Player series demos. I really like what you've done with the Vintera and Kingfish and I hope you can do the same with this series. I enjoy playing mine with buttercream and really thank you Fender for the amazing guitar.
This is a really great guitar. Way better than predecessor. Very playable out of box. A real workhorse.

The quality of MIM Fenders has greatly improved over the years almost rivaling American made guitars.

Got myself the HSS 3 tone sunburst model, what a lovely piece of art. But it's friggin' heavy compared to the Squier affinity series strat. Other than that everything's sweet.

I have a 2018 player left handed Telecaster in polar white. Great sounding and playing guitar. These are definitely much higher quality than the older standards. These are almost as good as the old American standards. Recommend these to anyone.

I bought the Plus Top Aged Cherry version of this guitar in the HSS configuration in early 2021. I changed to locking tuners and had a Graphtec nut installed. Love it!
Rosewood or maple neck are on it ?

My player series HSS is by far my best and favorite guitar I've ever had. I have 3 older strats with the 6 screw bridge and a mustang but my brand new HSS is flawless. I have a S1 switch going in soon as well.
I have the player stratocaster in left handed version. Definitely an awesome guitar and totally worth the money. Well finished, good sounding pickups, looks like high-end guitar and plays like one, 22 frets, spaghetti logo, tone pot for the bridge pickup,, stays in tune... what else do you need ?

I have the whit Strat, HSS and a Floyd Rose. Best Strat I've ever owned. I own a mid 60's model Strat and have to say the Player Series is way better quality and sounds amazing. Of course my 60's model Strat is my pride and joy, but I go for my Players Strat first.
On top of all the features and excellent build quality I seem to have gotten a rarity. The maple on maple neck is the same exact back profile as a San Dimas Charvel. Side by side you cant see or feel the difference. Apparently I have a Fender logo on a Charvel neck. I need to call Fender and see if I can verify it.

I have the same players strat he’s using same color and fret board. Very nice guitar. Can’t complain. As my skills improve I will reward myself with an American pro but the players series more that holds its own.
I played around with a couple guitars today and I always went back to fiddle with the fender strat very well rounded guitar with a unique voice without the bells and whistles

These things are sweet. The guitars Fender is putting out of Ensenada are phenomenal these days.
He calls it "Tobacco" while it's actually "Aged Cherry Sunburst". He additionally stated the the only difference with the floyd rose strat was its floyd rose despite the maple fretboard.
It's about time somebody finally did a good video on these great guitars
I have 2 player strats the first one was made in 2017 as the serial number begins with 17______ Its so slick, I love it. The other was made in 2021 and its not as lovely as the first but still a beautiful guitar

I already have a 2006 sunburst American Strat I bought new. I love it but have lusted after the Surf green Stratocaster for years now. In my mind's eye, it had to be paired with the Fender surf green case to make it perfect. Whenever I had the cash, I could not find any surf green Strats. When I could find the guitar, I lacked the money. One time, I walked into a shop when I had the cash, and they had a surf green Stratocaster on the wall, but they had no case. It was an American made strat if I recall and I almost pulled the trigger but hesitated because I wanted the surf green case to go with it. I went home and browsed the web but s could not find a case. I almost went back to buy it but didn't and regretted it a short time later when I found the case in stock online. Of course, the guitar was sold by then.
Fast forward to this past Thursday. I walked into a Guitar Center the lo and behold, there was a Surf green Player Series Stratocaster hanging on their wall. Right below it on the floor was a Fender Surf Green wood case! I took it down off the wall and it was love at first strum. The setup was good and it sounded great, The only problem was, really didn't have the cash at the time. I was about to put it back when the sales guy told me they were offering 48 months 0% interest. Quick calculation told me I could afford the $20 a month so I pulled the trigger. I would have liked to buy American made but this guitar is VERY nice, and I now have my surf green Stratocaster I've lusted after for years!

Don’t you know Gibson invented the guitar??? Anytime you pick up a guitar that’s NOT a Gibson, you’re basically playing a counterfeit and are liable to be sued. The strings, neck, and wood construction are all distinctive aspects of what makes a Gibson a Gibson.

@@codythedoggo7671 I honestly liked how the Squier Classic Vibes played better than the MiM Player Series. Obviously the electronics were poor but I consider the wood to be the permanent investment as the electronics can be upgraded later

I’m a beginner in guitar and my friend advised me to stay away from Squier and get a Fender Player Series. Is it worth it?
Thomas Hilton There are some great Squiers out there, especially the classic vibe series for like $400. They are great quality for the price, and can save you a few bucks if you aren’t ready to shell out $650.

Brought one home last week. Great tone and very versatile. Delighted. I've had issues bending the high e string beyond a full tone. Two strings have already snapped (original 0.9 factory string and similar replacement; they snapped near the bridge while bending on from D to F or 8th). I fear doing this again but I feel very a guitar should allow for a tone-and-a-half bend, has this happended to anyone else? Medium action. Will lowering the action help?

@@Max-fs5gc Thanks. Ultimately I've stuck to 0.09s and I'm delighted. I was transitioning (still am) from an LP-style guitar so the change in neck, radius and tension was a bit of a stretch for me but I've moved past that. Happy with the choice, good guitar on a budget.

upgrading after 10 years from my bc rich beast, I want a decent mid range guitar, torn between the fender player tele or strat... i love the look of the tele, but the strat sounds so much better to me, I want it for rock but the strat sounds clearer, tele sounds really responsive but kinda muffled and low quality in my opinion
I just got my HSS player strat and I'm telling you its beautiful. No adjusting, the floating bridge is perfect and the smoothest best finished neck I've ever had on a stock guitar. You wont be disappointed
