I wondered why it sounded weird... Because it's exactly how I'd describe tastes..... Why is that lol I figured I was just a man of few words, as in I could use a dictionary, but everyone is saying here they love it, perhaps I'll describe my tastes more often
Dude I absolutely love the way that Earl describes these, hes so well-spoken and I've never heard someone describe those tastes as the physical reaction your mouth has so interesting

The next is kind of a product endorsement but im not affiliated with the company i just like their product. There is someone making edible crayon's. If you are interested, you should look up CRE's. Crayon's Ready to Eat. I found hem on tiktok but they are getting ready to launch their product.
Earl reminded me of my dear departed uncle. He seems like a SOB in stature but a very gentle soul that would give the shirt off his back to someone in need; my uncle was a helping hand to many and a very good listening ear. I loved this episode because it brought back those fond memories of my uncle. 😥 Thanks a lot👍🏽🇻🇮🇰🇳
I really do enjoy these videos. The energy the boys have when they have guests is amazing and it always just feels like friends hanging out instead of a forced thing. Love it.
Now I don't feel so bad about not being able to explain what I'm smelling and tasting. We need more average people on the show doing tastings. This was one of my favorite episodes. Cheers!
@@WhiskeyTribe Well, him being successful, and not having better things to do, sounds like a much better reason. Also the Chief Clown looks young for 40, and Daniel is a tall man with a great head of hair.
This dude has as much if not more character than the whiskey, the Moochrix was the most awesome ad ever, and Earl sold me on my next bottle purchase of Angel's Envy Rye. Great episode! Ever considered having a group of the whiskey newbs along with other characters like Earl, maybe as a Christmas special? Seems like a good excuse to dress up as Whiskey Knights of the Round Table with Daniel as Merlin and Rex as Arthur haha.
The simple editing on showing the bottle in between drinks makes the video 100 times better. Thanks for getting me into drinking. The first episode I saw and you mentioned cherry flavor. I went to the store that same day, now I have a small collection of 10 bottles and growing.
Damn, that deep laugh and smooth voice Earl's got on him! Loved the skillshare ad with the matrix spoof! "I know mooch foo!" And that part at the end where he is explaining what he does. And ends it with the smile and "yeeeaaah" I feel like that part needs to be a gif
This reminds me SO much of when my Jim Beam drinking friends come over and start tasting whiskies from my shelf,... especially when he tasted the Sazerac and the Talisker. I love that reaction!
I’d love to see a series on the channel where you were doing a list of whiskies for different spirit drinkers. Something like “Whiskies for gin lovers” or “whiskies for cognac lovers”, where you’d choose whiskies that contain the dominant tasting notes of the respective spirit category.
These are some of my favorite videos. Find it interesting to hear genuine reactions from guests who are more of the average whiskey taster. Makes it very relatable since we all walked the same path.
This was probably one of the most enjoyable whiskey tasting/comparison videos I've watched on Whiskey Tribe. It was great seeing someone who is stolid in their whiskey preference be willing to step outside that wheelhouse and give other types of the genre a try. It doesn't hurt that Earl is the Bourbon Barry White, and it's not at all hard to imagine him as the CEO of a strategic directions company. Bravo!
Talisker 10 was one of the very first scotches I ever tried, and I connected with it immediately. Daniel has said its taste is reminiscent of high-sodium mineral water, so that makes sense because my favorite mineral water (Borjomi) tastes like licking a terra cotta pot!
Like Earl's voice, that handsome man. My wife was peaking over my shoulder wondering who is that man with the deep voice that isn't James Earl Jones! Hey Rex Happy Birthday. I turned 56 on the 24th. All the best to all of you MBs and your families in the new year.
Earl seems like an absolute genius, in both wisdom and knowledge. He’s the guy you can listen to anything he has to say, and everything he says is important.
We need more of Earl and his insights. He does a wonderful job of describing the nuances and complexities of these whiskeys. Bring him in for more and give the man full bottles, dammit.
I've found with peated whiskies you should always reserve your judgment for after the first nosing/taste. After you acclimate to the peat a little the experience totally changes for me.
His Voice is Smoother than any of the Whiskeys
Earl could read to me and I would be soothed.
Would Earl read me a bed time story?
@@macmasks They defiantly need to do that. A christmas whisky story with Earl!
Nice one, LMAO 😁
He kinda reminds me of Chris Hogan.
We need more Earl. Hopefully he becomes a frequent guest for these types of videos.
Very much agreed.
I was just thinking this same thing.
I third that. More Earl. Great observations, and his voice doesn’t hurt either.
I love Earl, but I love even more how he described his tasting notes. Lots more feeling than just flavors.
I wondered why it sounded weird... Because it's exactly how I'd describe tastes..... Why is that lol
I figured I was just a man of few words, as in I could use a dictionary, but everyone is saying here they love it, perhaps I'll describe my tastes more often
This man should do audiobooks, good god that voice is deep.
I was thinking the same thing, he'd be great at commercials. Awesome pipes.
Ranks right up there with Mister James Earl Jones
Should check out Wayne June, especially if you like Lovecraftian/Cosmic Horror. His voice is magnificent.
I really want to go to bed listening to this man reading poetry.
It’s like Dennis Haysbert and Micheal Clarke Duncan all wrapped up with a little dash of Patrick Warburton, the dulcet tones of Earl... I’m a fan
I don’t know who has been picking your guest tasters but they are doing a phenomenal job. Cheers
Thanks Jim. 👍
Earl’s voice is like a massage for my ears and brain.
Great description!
That guy has a radio voice and sounds so calm cool and collective. I would pay him to give me bad news.
His voice is so chill, npr personalities listen to him to go to sleep.
*collected
He needs a career in voice acting!
Dude I absolutely love the way that Earl describes these, hes so well-spoken and I've never heard someone describe those tastes as the physical reaction your mouth has so interesting
The voice of this gentleman reminds me the great James Earl Jones
No doubt.
The should have had him say Luke. I am your Father

Thanks man. That’s what we’re going for. 👍
I could have that man narrate my life every day and it would make me very happy.
If Pappy Van Winkle had a voice. My man right here.
Now I don't feel so bad about not being able to explain what I'm smelling and tasting. We need more average people on the show doing tastings. This was one of my favorite episodes. Cheers!
Why didn't this guy narrate the adventures of Mooch Man and Dram Boy?
Because he's successful, and has better things to do?
Better things to do than attach himself to an Oscar caliber project? Yah right.
@@WhiskeyTribe Well, him being successful, and not having better things to do, sounds like a much better reason. Also the Chief Clown looks young for 40, and Daniel is a tall man with a great head of hair.
I could listen to this man talk for hours.
Earl reminded me of late Michael Clarke Duncan. What a voice indeed.
That’s what it is! Thanks
This man's voice!
I love the way this guy just flips between serious/thoughtful and straight up cartoon character
For real OBSESSED with his laugh. Can I get a dram of that?
x
Earl would be a great addition with that voice. As always, loved the video.
Earl is my kind of man. I'd love to spend and evening just hanging out, conversing, and drinking whisk(e)y. And what a voice!
Get Earl and Briana to sit at the table with 10 whisky's prepared earlier. Go nuts.... Film it.
I second this request!
Found somebody with my thoughts
Man, Earl was a fun guest! Ya'll need to have him back and give us his favorite bourbons or somethin'. More Earl!

Gotta have more Earl!! This man has a great expressiveness and vocal quality about him.

Nice. Bourbon?
Last time I was this early, Rex was still under the impression every whiskey in existence was a Speyside.
That hasn't changed.
They aren’t all speyside? Wtf
I feel like we all need more Earl in our lives!!! Please, more Earl!
Damn. I could listen to Earl's voice all day long.

10/10 ad!!!! That belongs in a super bowl commercial spot XD Super funny
That’s one of the best ones you guys have done yet! Earls voice alone made this worth the watch!
Earl seems like an excellent dude to hang with, and that voice is smooth and buttery. Hopefully we see more of this gentleman in future videos!
i love listening to Earl speak. his voice and the way he chooses his words....this guy is great.
Please get Earl to feature in more videos, his voice is a serenade of deep tones and I enjoy listening to him and his opinions
This reminds me SO much of when my Jim Beam drinking friends come over and start tasting whiskies from my shelf,... especially when he tasted the Sazerac and the Talisker.
I love that reaction!
I bought a bottle of Talisker's on Halloween and it kicked my pallet's ass 😂😂 will not be returning to it soon
How do I convert my Jim Beam friend into whisky? One of my goals for 2021 (or 2022 if this covid situation doesn’t start to chill).
“I know mooch-foo” - greatest line of the year.

Earl is great!! Really should have him on more.
Earl is quite articulate & knows his way around whiskey. I'd love to be a taster:)
He’s got a great voice and laugh. He could do voice overs for jazz and R&B radio stations.
Earl is my favorite so far. We need more Earl!!!
More episodes with Earl please. This guy is awesome!
Earl needs to make more appearances. Dude has the best voice. Cheers.
I want Earl to describe literally everything, man has a way with words, and a silky voice!
