Toni, I just want you to know that after going through about 10 custom shop Gibson les pauls in a store, I walked out with a Maybach Lester 60s. It was a far superior instrument at a 3rd of the price. I own many us made guitars from well known brands, and the maybach is the best playing and sounding guitar I have ever held. Thank you.
Love to read that! I had exactly the same experience in a munich guitar store. I tested 4 different custom shop Gibsons in the R9 teritory and at the end I went with the Maybach because it resonated way more, the vibrations where extreme. I'm happy with my Maybach Lester 60s up to this day!!
Same here. Played lots of Gibson USA, CS and Murphy Lab and while they were amazing instruments obviously, I was blown away when I picked up a Maybach on my visit in Germany. I now own a Lester 59 and Capitol 59. Incredible guitars.
I Bought the Maybach little wing arched top and love it, the build quality is excellent. I bought it from Thomann and they mis-listed it as Rosewood Fretboard even though I knew it was Ebony, and the spec sheet that came with it confirmed Ebony, despite my telling Maybach and Thomann had radio silence from both, so they could def improve on customer service.
I JUST received my Maybach Albatroz 65-2 P90 and I have to say I'm disappointed; The tone knobs are loose and janky, the key to the case is missing (what's the point in the case then?), and the neck is bowed and dry. This guitar is just a month old according to the certificate so it's either a return unit from Thomann or the QC is disappointing. Even worse, I had to import to the States and pay an extra 140 dollars. (My first instinct was to google "maybach guitar issues" and find this video.) I normally would ingest a lot of these issues, but paying two thousand dollars to receive what feels slightly Epiphoney is highly disappointing. Pickups SEEM nice, but hard to say when I can't trust the pots.
@@MHChang2014I did and they claim the bad knobs was transportation and wood expanding, however my engineer says the tone knobs are different pots than the volume knobs and just badly made. Radio silence from both Maybach and Thomann since then, so I'm gutting the guitar and putting all new electronics in there, easier than trying to return. I'm definitely not sold on the price point for these.

More models for left-handed people are necessary, there are more of us every day, and we are too mistreated when it comes to having access to a good guitar
