Great video mate, love the idea of having the versatility without having to change lenses especially when out in the field. Also be a great event lens. Would the RS 4 handle the weight of the lens while zooming? I see you are using the a9 iii for your video, how don you think the new a1m2 will hold up against this from a video point of view? Will you be changing 🙂
Happy to see good video whitout zero rolling shutter. But hey you use one of the best video camera in the world. When i get to my A9iii I trade all my other camera.
Thanks for the review. I really would like to buy it, but it will be too heavy for my ZV-E1 and with only 4 screws at the mount I would not trust it too much. Seems I have to save some money now 🙂
I didn’t know mounting points were built different across the Emount line up… I use my ZVE1 with a 24-70 GM2 on a gimbal with no problem… I’m sure this camera is heavier but not by much….
@@AlvinKokubun You can see the difference of 4 to 6 screws between the models. There are some pictures of destroyed mounts, but I guess only if you are not careful with very heavy lenses.
9:28 All reasons why I will not buy it. I will stick to my used 24-70GMII which has a better range and not as low F-stop, but just for 0.8 less that's not worth it for me. But it sure is an awesome lens.
Close-ups on this lens look amazing!
If you use an 82mm VND with a step down adapter from 86-82mm it doesn’t vignette, so you should be good using your 82mm filters
Will need to try that next time I have one to test.
@ sorry I forgot to mention my source of info! Chris Brockhurst tested it on his review of the lens, feel free to check it out
Nice video Jeven. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead 😊

Its a great lens. Looks more like a 1.4 prime than a 2.8 zoom but its not for everyone
G master lenses are very expensive
