"Up to" $20K. To me when someone says "up to" a certain number it means it it not a guarantee you will get that number. That said, if your interest is mainly the pay/money I strongly recommend you seek life elsewhere. We all have responsibilities, bills, family etc and need to have a decent paying job, however, this kind particular job is very tough/demanding to include very dangerous. Your love for the job will be tested. Not many people stick around long enough, even with the decent pay/compensation. That should tell you something. Please do your due diligence before you invest time and other valuable resources into this career. If you decide to go down this path, I wish you luck/success.
I agree, this job is definitely not for everyone. Before applying candidates need to see if it’s worth it for them to become an Agent, all comes down to personal choices and what they would like to pursue. Have a good day!
Congratulations man, good job! I'm almost in the last phase of the application, which is the polygraph, and physical fitness exam. Did you choose Arizona of Texas ? Im between Laredo Texas or El Paso Texas, not sure yet which one to choose.
There is pathways programs you can checkout at usajobs. I don’t believe there is any open at the moment but sometimes some pop up. But as long as you have your Bachelors degree you will automatically qualify for either GS-5 or 7. The process is straight forward after that, good luck!
I would say it may expedite things with already having clearance however I think it would be more advantageous to do military before joining a federal service. Military counts for and helps get many government jobs however the military tends to not care about previous gov work. This is in my experience anyway. Also with my experience I would simply skip the military and join a federal, state, or local service such as CBP. I get more fulfillment in one week doing my stateside job than I did my entire 6 month tour overseas with the military.
You dont want to join. I was in and myself and many left...its not worth it...this commercial is very false. Be a state trooper if you want to be in law enforcement..just trust me... you dont have the freedom you think you have and they are not respected...
@@hiroshi2313 yes, it sucks... Took me 10 months to get in and I left without hesitation. If your single and don't have kids and plan to not care about your life then it might be for you. @kgc1911 shiiiit, been in 17 yrs can't quit now. But you are 100% correct. Anyone reading this, if you get in try to get stationed in Arizona. You should see what they did to our pursuit policy, straight up joke 😂.
Maybe if Mexico made better economic and political reforms they wouldn’t have as many problems. Their main problem is their mishandling of the war on drugs.
While that is true, the U.S is just at fault for many things. The U.S had hand in many destabilization of Latin American countries. Mexico today in 2024 has decreasingly had Mexican citizens cross over to the U.S. Many are now from central and South America, with someone from Europe, Africa and Asia. Also, many Mexicans were in former Mexican states before it was ever part of the U.S. Anyways, the U.S knows it’s a billion dollar industry for drugs, if they really wanted to do something about it they would. You can’t get mad at the Dealer (Mex) and think the junkie (U.S) has no responsibility for their predicament. The U.S is mexicos number one buyer. My whole point is it goes both ways.

Is definitely possible!

Same as pretty much every federal job. I don't know who joins the feds and think they have freedom while working. That's our job.
