Otter and Bunny are conspiring together (“Outside”). Now you are in big trouble 😂 Honestly, it’s been said a million times but it is so mind blowing to see the thought process that goes on with these two. Bunny especially because here she is coming up with an alternative word for mad on her own (concerned). Just one example of so many times she has reasoned things out.

If Bunny is part sheepdog, and we know that dogs who are bred to work with sheep need their herd to be in order, otherwise it frustrates them, then it makes sense. It looks like household order and items and people are substituting for that herd, as we've seen with Border Collies that herd children and other people.
I had a Springer Spaniel that *_had_* to have routine, always. We couldn't do things differently. There was a right order and way to enter the car, to walk on the leash, and she'd get upset if we didn't follow the sequence and method. She had to walk next to me, with her bigger dog friend on the outside of the heel-order, etc.

The things Bunny can talk to you about never ceases to amaze me, and yet she still has her essential doggy nature and enjoys being "silly" too. And Otter is making so much progress! The way he backed up Bunny made me laugh, but that head nod... does he mimic human gestures as a way to communicate often, or was that the first time?

    • @DolphinsPlayingInAquaMoonlight

I have watched this channel for a while and I feel I know wonderful Bunny, and love her so much! Otter is also so cute and clever, and I am more and more impressed with him. The way Alexis communicate with them is so perfect and kind, with a lot of patience. I have a feeling that is not so good, and that is that Bunny is concerned with the location of the house. Maybe because I myself would be. I live close to the sea myself, and the power of the wind and sea is so strong. Many a night have I woken up because of a dramatic dream caused by the sound of the wind and waves. I am guessing that Bunny`s stomach pain may have a connection to vibrations she feels through the floor and the sounds she hears from the waves.

I feel like Otter needs something to hold his buttons more securely because I keep seeing videos where he tries to talk and his buttons just unattach. He may be a little rough/less coordinated with it but maybe them accounting for that may help him feel more confident about using them/ them disattatching and not always making noise as a result could be a bit discouraging. I could be wrong entirely, just thoughts.

I've heard in talking-buttons pet videos that some dogs and cats just aren't interested in them. You might see this channel's videos of how they started it in recent months with the newest dog, Tenrec, the little papillon (spelling?) since now the owner knows far better how to begin it and teach it. Apparently, Tenrec sees the training as play, to which the owner said they must be doing something right. I'm sure it's worth checking out.

I love dogs. I wrote a little thing about the joy of dogs (you don't have to believe in God, it can be metaphorical):
For the love of dogs, God became playful. It was the proper thing to do: to give chase, play tug of war, and run with them in circles, looking almost foolish. Often the angels beheld God belly-laughing, stretched prostrate with a dog licking his ear. Thus God gave his reward to the hearts and souls of these perfect creatures who didn't have to love him, but who truly loved everybody -- and what began as mere play always ended in God's real joy, as miraculous as water turning to wine.
