Bunny tried to comfort Otter and tell mum where Otter was hurting. 🥰🥰
"Loving the paw" (love you button probably means cuddling)
Yes! I think she pushed the ‘I love you’ button for Otter ❤
Water tug for tides and tug ball for playing fetch. As I said the other day, Bunny is using words not merely as names but as concepts! Tug means to-and-fro motion. As a trained linguist, I'm in awe!
Yeah this blows my mind. The fact that she's not using Tug to mean a specific toy that she plays in a specific way with... She clearly understands that Tug is back and forth motion by using it to describe tides and playing catch. I would never have assumed an animal is capable of creating word combinations to cover more complex concepts like this.
@@AKA-Latromi for real. it's so fascinating to finally get a peek into animal's minds. i love that people have taken the time and energy to do this kind of experimental communication. it needs more science behind it. maybe one day we can have full blown comprehensive and fluent conversations with animals.
@@sickickick Bunny is actually part of a study, I believe. What we see here on RUclips and TikTok is obviously just clips, but the full context recordings are going to a group of researchers who are looking at hundreds of participants to get a better understanding of what is going on.
I would be interested in what Vaska has to say about the language that Bunny and Mom use is. Is it a new variety of English? Does it follow it's own rules of grammar? After seeing Bunnie's work and now Otter's efforts, it is CLEAR that communication of an importance and relevance is happening. Thank you to Mom and Dad, as well as ALL of the others involved in getting Bunny to a place of real communication.
Einstein Bunny ponders the theory of relativity & discusses existentialism.
Otter gets the ball when mom mentions the word "ball".
MOM: "Good boy, Otter, GOOD BOY!"
Bunny: 🙄😑
LOL
Yeah but mom mentioned where the ball is, at the front door. Otter was actively listening and went to get the ball where mom said it was.
Lol, Otter has learned to be such a stinker!
Always wants to trick Bunny out of the room so he can get what she has XD
My heart sunked and hurt for Baby Otter!! Until bunny spoke up. Love you Bunny & Otter
Omg Bunny said "Paw" after Otter stumbled and it looked like his paw hurt.
I'm always amazed at how much they really do understand.
These Dogs are Brilliant.
💜💜💜💜💜💜
Just when I think they can't surprise me anymore, they surprised me again. I've always known that animals have emotions and are very expressive with those emotions, to the point that people have called me crazy. But even I get amazed by what they do and say, to you and to each other! Thank you for sharing these things with the world because the world needs to understand just how beautiful special and amazing animals truly are
This is amazing. That the animals can use buttons to tell how they are feeling and show empathy. So Beautiful.
I love these compounds 😂 "tug ball" = catch ✍
She is absolutely beautiful inside and out.
"I'm starvin' here and you're talking about the weather!"
OMG! They are both so sweet! Such concern for one another.
Appreciate seeing it better when full screen ... easier to read the text, too. :)
She’s like “keep guessing mom”
Otter is so funny, you're a lovely bunch.
I don't know and haven't even met these dogs, and my stomach dropped when I saw Otter not using his paw.
Immediate Concern
lol not going out in the rain. Ah the life we live with our dogs.
Interesting how you said otter is trying to trick bunny using some of the buttons- they act like siblings!
You are the only youtuber that makes a call to action I want to see, its so cute!
Awe, bless Otter. Hurt his paw, Bunny is so compassionate!
Was Bunny telling you that she could hear her tummy rumbling?
My day is not complete without you, Bunny, and Otter! And Dad, if he's around, too! My favorite was early on, when Bunny saw a bird outside of the window, and said she wanted it in her tummy! That's when I knew these buttons were teaching US so much more about our pets! Thank you for sharing all of this with us!
I absolutely love Bunny! She's so smart and sweet.
It is so Ana how much the pups notice, and actually communicate ! Gorgeous 🙏🥳🤩
I know how that feels. My belly goes ouch all the time. I'd love to meet Bunny someday. I love her. :03
Aaaawwwe!! I bet if there were swear buttons on the board Otter would've used one for that owie!!
Fun to se a little more from Otter. I would love to see more of his progress with the words.
Bunny and Otter - the genius dogs
Otter is telling you he wants to go ourside with you bybringing you your boots.
One of the best compilations yet!
Love these videos. Thank you so much for making them!
It looks like Bunny is wearing a maple leaf hat!
She really is a sweet dog
By far my fav video of bunny. Squirrel!
Awesome just beautiful. My furry baby doesn’t use words like Bunny and Otter. But we’ve always talked to her like any one else. Your videos just prove to me that they are ….. thank you for sharing !!!!👣🐾🍀
I am curious about how much and what kind of feedback you get from the people that are doing the study on language in animals? By the way, these are my favorite dogs ever!
Yes!!! I’ve been wondering the same thing. She’s due for another Q & A video, can’t wait to learn more about the research! ❤
Adorable 🥰
So lovely!
"belly belly belly go ouch".....big mood.....
Same
me too
It's my understanding that Bunny has been diagnosed as having digestive problems that have caused her pain, as she has tapped that same message many times. She has alerted owner to various physical problems, and that was one, for which I understand she's now on medication. It wasn't a mood, it was belly discomfort.
So, I suffer with chronic IBS, which basically means, maximum dose of loperamide every day. So, "belly ouch" really hits with me, because I know that feeling!
Hopefully Bunny is like most people, where some good food, time and later a good trump (or fart for Americans), then usually you'll feel better.
Have you tried fasting?
@@ThePallidor no.
Trump far omg that's good when I think of Donald Trump 🤣
My husband has IBS. Cutting dairy from his diet made it a lot better, but there is a psychological aspect to his as well. He gets a flare-up if something makes him very anxious.
@@mygirldarby Tried cutting wheat, too? Fasting works wonders as well.
I think bunny was saying her tummy was growling.
Yes apparently so! And the scientists will be observing similar patterns in her speech. It's amazing stuff. My cats communicate with tone...they have different sounds for mood. Most people don't tune into animals that's why they think people who do, are crazy. But they just aren't tuned in.
where are the subs?
"IS MY HUMAN BROKEN? I SAID BELLY"
I love your house so much
Gratitude 😃
0:34 Bunny: "WTF are talking about?"
I haven’t seen these RUclips compilations before, and the outro killed me 🤣
Wow Otter got big
This is amazing/scary.
Stay safe 🙏❤️
Oh darling 💕yr on the same page as me xx nice bit of chicken 'bird' some cuddles n Roo roos should sort 🐾
Otter seems like an Einstein.
"Belly go ouch?" No fking way she actually thought that...
I’m curious what percentage of your viewers are watching on a cell phone. The vertical format and the tiny font makes it difficult to enjoy.
💕
💜💙🐾🐾
*belly*
Could she mean belly = water under under the house (the house's belly), as in when it's a super high tide? Was that first clip from a couple weeks ago when it was super stormy and a king tide?
It's my understanding that Bunny has digestive problems, has had pain, has referred to it on other occasions, and is on medication for it.
Oh no!
Otter Paw Ouch!
That looked really unpleasant. He basically faceplanted too. Poor thing.
Why did Bunny take so long to say what was up with her belly?
belly ouch. :'(
she is historic
The waves and the location of the house is bothering Bunny, I am pretty sure.
I'm pretty sure she would greatly prefer not to live so immediately close to the ocean, that it presents a sense of danger, as it would to any intelligent dog, when the waves are raucous. In one video, Bunny tapped "big water night all done." Owner then confirmed by saying that the waves had been large during the night, and that it was "all done."
No, but they just hear things about 40 times louder than we do. So it's a far more intense experience for animals when there's outside noise.
@@deborahcurtis1385
Since cats are even more sound sensitive than dogs, what do you suppose their x-level is beyond our hearing, 60 times greater than ours?
ouch is right
Doesn't "Belly Go ouch" mean her belly hurts? Shouldn't Bunny be taking some medicine instead of food/snacks? how come there is no "hungry" button available?
I don't know how old this video is or when she was diagnosed, but it's my understanding that Bunny has digestive problems, has had pain and is on medication for it.
Some owners with talk-buttons don't want food-related buttons because that button would get too much focus, like treats. I've heard some reflect on that in their videos.
Is Bunny a sheepdog or is she a sheepdog mix with poodle? She’s SO adorable!
She is mixed… sheepadoodle
She is a poodle mixed with another breed. I forgot what breed exactly.
@@laartje24 sheepdog if I remember correctly. That would make her a sheepadoodle
She's a Sheepadoodle
Is she not a labradoodle- a Labrador crossed with a poodle
Real life fnaf
Otter has some haircut
At the beginning about belly...perhaps she means she hears her belly and knows she is upset but doesn't have the words...I know she has concerned...but this is really interesting as it could means awareness of physical signs of emotional reactions
It's my understanding that she has been diagnosed with digestive problems, and is on medication for it. "Belly go ouch" has been a repeated statement over time. She had also alerted owner, and thus vet, to ear infection, "ear ouch," and to "stranger ouch paw" where owner found a foreign object (= stranger), a sharp thorn in a matt between her toes.
I thought Bunny had a tummy ache
Otter is just like a toddler bring Mom random household objects
I don't think it was random, as Otter wanted to go outside, and human said "no" because of the rain, so Otter brought boot. Otter is a standard poodle and they are known for being very smart, as breeds go.
Wow,. Paw was pretty....you must have a idea of what bunny responds to AND Why
I think Buns would like you to squeak the ball before you throw it back to her.
I love your content on here and tiktok. But why do you make the screen SO small on youtube? I want to show my mother but she can't see anything. It's so unnecessary and frustrating
1:01 im sorry if this is rude, but…. i think maybe u should give Bunny longer time to respond to u before u move onto the next question. ive seen other button-speaking dogs sometimes take like 40 seconds just to process their human’s question and start responding to it.
the way animals need long times to respond to & process communication reminds me of autistic children, thats how i think about it
Maybe it seems that way, but I think Alexis is handling these "conversations" exactly right. If you've seen any of the other talking dogs, you know conversations between Bunny and Alexis are light years ahead of all the others. She knows better than we do and surely has a sense of long it typically takes Bunny to respond.
Otter is not ok, he feels bad because his haircut is terrible.
I like these videos but sometimes I wonder if they are fake. It seems easier to edit a video to make the buttons say anything than to actually train a dog to use them, especially with how many they use. Idk just a thought. Either way, it works for the owners because RUclips pays based on views.
FYI, they're not fake. Bunny started learning the buttons at like 8 weeks old, and she (and Otter, and most of the other button-talking pets on social media) are enrolled in a large university study. She started with one button, and they get added 1 or 2 at a time, building up the what you see here. Otter is younger and has been learning almost exclusively through observation, I'm assuming as part of the experiment. If you want to learn more about the study, there are links in the video descriptions.
You're right that editing videos would be a lot easier than actually training the pet. The pet owners doing this are putting a lot of time and effort into it, and they must always be modeling the buttons and language constantly and consistently. And it's a commitment, because once the pet learns the buttons, taking them away would be pretty cruel, akin to cutting out a person's tongue.
I guess it's possible that there are also fakes out there, or if there aren't yet, it's probably inevitable that there eventually will be, since there's money to be made. But I haven't come across any yet. The only exception being a tv commercial for some product to calm dogs during storms where the dog communicates with a button (I was wondering when the craze would go mainstream enough for advertisers to start incorporating it), and that looked really hokie/cheesy.
Weak argument for conclusion the videos are faked. It would be easier for me to rob a bank than to work 50 hours a week, but I don't do it. It never even crosses my mind. I see no evidence to suggest Alexis is faking these videos.
