Give me the intro and OST of 1, the story mode of 2, and the roster of 3 (with more than 4 special abilities per character). -And add more destructible buildings & landscape, preferably some bigger maps, and faster flying speed. Then I will never ask for another Dragon Ball game ever again, cuz we found the GOAT.

Sure, it's because the last real tenkaichi not counting ultimate tenkaichi was released two generations ago. But with games like this there is only so much you can do, in my opinion burst limit is still the best looking DBZ game to me and it came out 15 years ago

That first one is actually still the best Db game opening for me. I love the look of the characters and the fighting in it. Especially at the end where Goku and Vegeta are sparring and smiling. So good.

I still remember this scene 1:30, when they start sparing and smiling, ive had a few times where i was enjoying sparing with a partner so much i started smiling and this scene would replay in my head.
Seeing the Budokai Tenkaichi 1 Art direction really throws me off, simply because of how good it looks! The art direction is absolutely amazing with that game! The action sequence and everything else feels so modern- truly an opening ahead of its time.
You're not missing much if you didn't play the first BT. To me, that was just the prototype of the three games. The second and third, they improved SO MUCH.
If you loved the Tenkaichi 3 story because it's based on power levels, Tenkaichi 1 started that and went more in the story compared to Tenkaichi 3 cut alot of fights but still a great story. For example Tenkaichi 1 has the z fighters fighting cell jr including yamcha,tien, krillin ect Then ss2 Gohan only fights 1 cell jr, In Tenkaichi 3 ss2 Gohan fights 5 cell jr can easily destroy them you feel the power levels.
Insane how none of these opening intros made sense in terms of who was fighting against each other... but looking back at it I was here for the hype! 🤣🤣
I didn’t think the main focus of the openings were the match ups just the hype around it plus it makes sense because of how the game is, majority of your matchups are not going to make sense and that’s what makes it fun.

The drip and badassness from the BT2 Opening is still to this day present whenever iwatch the intro... the music, animations, character choices for the intro and overall sequencing is simply perfect (gotta love that sequence with Turles and Goku at the end or Trunks with Vegeta)
You know dlc is supposed to be just extra content is made for games right? Like the Witcher was a full 100 hour games without its dlc but it’s flc added another 80 lol. Your being a boomer kind of. There are some dlc out there that is just straight up laziness and cause grabs though

The DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi games were top-tier fighting games. The fighting mechanics, the graphics, the feeling of power and the god-like combos you could unleash just made the games perfect. Not to mention they were 3D and offered full arena for you to roam around and cause as much havoc as you needed to.
As good and nostalgic 1 and 3’s intros are. Tenkaichi 2 will always be my all time favorite Dragon Ball Z video game intro! Everything about it is so perfect!
First game had the most intense opening but gameplay was standard. Second game showed us the new characters and had new gameplay mechanics such as in-game transformations. Third game had too much of a flashy opening, but the characters and gameplay: THAT was a whole other story. 😁 Thanks for this. Awesome memories here. 😊
Budakai Tenkaichi 2 is by far the best DBZ game ever created. So many different characters and maps. Also BT3 was good as well. So good to see everyone on here being excited about BT4. #DBZ4L

Then you zoom in to the Dragon which one eyebrows raised up, like "You guys are STILL fighting?!?! GUYS!! When is it gonna end?!?!" Then he goes in, to progress to the next clip, like " Fine! I'll do it myself!"
budokai tenkaichi 1 has best opening hands down, its probably nostalgia cause that was my first dragonball game anyways but it goes way harder than the other 2
