He would be pretty broken and arguably the best character in the game, but I think some people would find ways to deal with him, in Brawl MK was on whole different level compared to any character in that game, in Ultimate there are a good amount of characters that while not even nearly as broken as him, could at least have a chance, also no trip, most characters having actual combos and the overall speed of the game help a lot to make Brawl MK a less unbeatable match

He would be better than he is in Brawl. The thing with Brawl, is not simply that everyone sucked, it's that the physics are so floaty and the hitstun is so inexistent that you cannot combo, other than infinites anyways, that are banned. So you put Meta Knight in a game like Ultimate and he's broken, you put him in Melee and he's mega broken, you put him in 64 and idk I die probably.
Ever since they claimed "Everyone is here", Brawl Metaknight was the one exception imo. I wish he was like this. He wouldn't even be that broken with how this game is lol. The Ultimate cast isn't ridiculously weak like in Brawl.

Bare minimum top 3 imo but runaway best I'm not sure about Like just as an example, people will comment on how no one can combo in brawl bc hitstun cancles and characters don't have good enough frame data to make up for the hitstun cancles, however MK can bc his frame data is crazy. In ultimate that just straight up wouldn't be a problem because most characters have at least a solid B&B, the b&bs in brawl were chain grabs or like general advantage chains

To any of you numbskulls who actually think any character in Ult could come close to Brawl MK: 4:30 No setup. No positional dependent scenario. No careful rationing resources. He just spams his 14 frame aerial, active on frame *2* and sends you into the blast zone. No Ult character comes close to such disregard for the opponent's options.
I'm a little disappointed that Meta Knight's jab doesn't hit behind like in Brawl 😔 And one question, would Meta Knight still be able to do the Meta Knight Spike with the Side B in his Brawl form?

I think it would be funny if Steve had infinite recovery with the fireworks but would just blow up if he was under a ledge or any roof type structure above him since fireworks just damage you when you use them if blocks are above you
I know it's a human vs a CPU. But I think MK would be the best character. I lived through the brawl era, and know just how broken MK was. Brawl ICs would be also interesting to add.

Think of it is the longer you are gliding downwards, the more you can glide upwards. Gliding down is your ammunition being reloaded and gliding upwards is firing. That’s why you see people alternate up and down until they get to the other side of the screen.
I would be curious to see how the match would go if the best Brawl Meta Knight player fought the best Steve player. The part at 4:22 shocks me, Steve parried the first hit of down smash and still didn't have enough time to punish Meta Knight.
Meta Main here, and that wasn't down smash, that was forward smash, which had even less end lag in Brawl, and the thing is: both BMK down smash and Ultimate MK down smash come out in frame 4, but brawl had wack hitboxes and wack knockback, by far being the best down smash and arguably best smash attack in Brawl (tied with Brawl Wolf's down smash).

Crazy part is- he's not even doing the optimal MK combos like d-tilt to trip, to d-throw f-air - up air frame trap to air dodge shuttle loop edgeguard. Steve would be dead at 35% every time.
For a definitive fight of Steve vs Brawl Meta Knight, we'd need Nairo or Mew2king vs Cola. Cola is among the best Steve's, and Mew2king and Nairo were the two best meta knights in brawl.

Never liked the how after Brawl, Meta Knight and Dedede’s Hit SFX don’t feel as strong or impactful, in 4 and Ultimate they feel and sound dry and weak when compared to Brawl, they’re also more fun to play in Brawl too, glad this gave Meta Knight his Brawl SFX back, now all Brawl Meta Knight needs is the passive ability to make opponents randomly TRIP for that true Brawl experience!
That's probably the reason why he got nerfed because people still wanted to play Meta Knight, even tho he was broken. But they sadly had to make minor changes for the character to be playable again in more tournaments for other smash game titles.

Petshop has low-commital unblockables that combo into ToDs. He might win.
