The Real McCoy is one of the greatest jazz albums ever recorded. I remember first playing it on my stereo, listening to it back to back and being absolutely floored.
I've been listening to this solo for decades, but just then I noticed certain new things, mainly the motivic development. It really is a text book example of the best modern jazz playing, and McCoy at his absolute best.
always loved his simple approach, quartal voicings and pentatonics
this is completely mind blowing!
Very nicely done!

Uau!! So good!
Wow! Tyner's music seems hard to transcribe to me, it's got all those crazy runs and everything! Nice job!
Thank you! I’ll admit that it was an exhausting transcription to make. 😅😊
@@FernandoCrespo Keep it up! I can't read scores myself but the score videos are still cool because I know intervals and durations so it's like horizontal synthesia to a point xD
Thank you very much. Very helpful material for analyzing McCoy Tyner's harmonic transitions. Perhaps you have a version of this transcript in F major, preferably in MuseScore?
Your welcome! I sell the pdf of the transcription in the link at the description. I can send you the F major pdf version to your email if you decide to buy the transcription.
@@FernandoCrespo Please give me some time, I am now analyzing Lonnie's Lament. If you had a transcript of McCoy's party from Resolutions, I'd be interested too.
Okay no problem, sounds good. Unfortunately I don't have the transcription of that song. Good luck with the analyzing though.
