There are only 4 requirements for someone to run for President. There are purposefully few requirements so that the people are not limited on who they are able to elect… It’s supposed to give us freedom to choose. Adding a rule that a convicted felon can’t run shouldn’t need to be added: either people would not accept a felonious candidate or the candidate has a good enough reason to win over the peoples’ vote.
Anyways, he fit the criteria and, as unbelievable and shitty as it is, he won. The people voted.

Correct but since this is government, it state on your application for criminal background check (extensive) and if you have been convicted of a felony. It doesn't remove you from consideration but you're required to disclose it. If you can become the POTUS and convicted felon then the bar is at an all time low now moving forward. I agree, the voters chose him as president but doesn't change the fact about his character.

AND, I cancelled my NYTimes and Foreign Affairs subscriptions. In 1972 I voted for Nixon because he said they had a signed agreement with the North Vietnamese, I did not vote for 20 years after that.
