    This, along with the original Vanquish, is the most beautiful modern Aston to me. The newer ones look too sporty for my taste. I'd prefer if they kept making elegant cars and left the sporty looks to Ferrari.

  • @76Aston
    @76Aston 7 месяцев назад +12

    Today, I just went to check on my '76 Aston that's been in winter storage for a month. She started first time. I sat there for a while with a huge smile, enjoying the deep rumble of the exhaust note. Her V8 sounds different to the V12 in the DB9... more guttural and primal, and totally exhilarating! Then I saw this video. 12,000 miles on a car that's 17 years old? What, don't people like to drive anymore? I take my almost 50-year old Aston on big road trips nearly every year. It's reliable, comfortable and a sheer pleasure to drive. If you own a classic car, get out and use it!

    These DB9's are/were going for about 40/45k all day in the Seattle area after the newer generation came along in 2016. Still hovers to about that price today, and Aston owners atleast here, I've noticed are more likely to take care of their vehicles or are DIY'ers. Despite the price and miles, they're peaches. Not for the faint of heart if you're budget conscious

    My DC5 Type R also has a "high catch" clutchpoint. I know you can adjust them, but I really like it, personally. I actually rolled my left ankle pretty badly on some ice getting back in my car and despite my ankle/foot swelling up and very painful, I still was able to drive my car home easily because of the clutch having a high catch.

    Very unusual colour combo on the interior, I would've never thought red with brown/orange can blend together well but here it is, it looks quite nice. Another Aston to confirm my taste - those Astons from that era had the most beautiful gauge cluster there is on a car. The only way to one up it would be to get rid of those small digital screens. Nothing could beat that in my opinion.
