I absolutely love this channel keep doing your thing
And here we go again, ladies, gentlemen, children, earth species, The B1M is brightening our knowledge and make us more and more knowledgeable about human's exceptional skills in architecture. Thank you the B1M.
This channel honestly restores my faith in humanity and reminds me the world isn't entirely full of stupid just yet.
🤣🤣.
Why didn’t you include alien species?
Last year I visit the Tokyo Skytree.
Trust me, the view from the observatory deck at 450 meters over the IMMENSE city of Tokyo is something you would not forget easily.
I been there and went to Canton tower, oriental pearl and Tokyo skytreee
Pity the tower is ugly to look at. Whoever allowed this to be built, and the people who designed, it need their psychiatric help. Glad its not in my city!
Fun fact the Tokyo sky tree was built to be 634 meters high because the number 634 in kanji can be read as musashi which was once the name of the area where the tower was built.
Had the pleasure of visiting Toronto's CN Tower shortly after it was built in the '70s. Was on the outside observation deck in February - very high, very cold and very windy!
Bravo, B1M!
lego tokyo tower and big ben godzilla tom
I went sometime when it was cold in the late 70s too. There was no barrier to chucking crap out from the outdoor level yet.
KVLY TV Mast
Too bad you didn't go during the summer months. 🌞
I love how Ostankino tower plays tricks on you. Unlike the rest of the towers in this video it isn't surrounded by tall buildings to give it a sense of scale, so it looks thin and elegant from far away, but as you get closer it dawns on you how massive it actually is.
The CN Tower is the only one on the list I've seen in real life. It certainly dominates the Toronto skyline. A couple of years ago I flew around it in a Cessna and got some really neat pictures.
The CN Tower is so iconic looking. Awesome modernist/brutalist structure.
The CN tower is my favorite tower. It is a Canadian icon.
I actually live near the CN tower, I live in toronto
KVLY TV Mast Is
@@TheLiamster My favourite tower is KVLY TV Mast
Some of the shittiest architecture ever conceived.
I've been to 3 of 5 of these towers. CN tower, Shanghai tower and Canton tower. They are all wonderful and unique in their own way. Riding in one of the bubbles at the top of the Canton tower was definitely an experience.
Really? I thought the bubbles were a tourist trap.
@@meistsyans7708 it kind of is, but it is an enjoyable experience. 360 views of the city are great and the bubbles their self are thrilling.
Tip for anyone wanting to visit Canton tower, be sure to get your tickets to the tower in advance! It is a absolute nightmare showing up and trying to get into the tower.
@@bso3223 guess I was lucky then, when I went there I think it took me ~25min to get to the observation floor.
Seen this on amazing race
When I see those towers I know I have to like it
Top of the cn tower is super cool. It gives you a terrifying sense of the size of the great lakes.
You're terrified of big lakes?
My sister was proposed to in the spinning restaurant
Never underestimate the power and strength of the Great Lakes. The Great Lakes must be respected.
same experience if you go to sears tower
KVLY TV Mast
I might be biased as a Torontonian but the CN Tower is absolutely gorgeous. It defines the skyline so well and is one of the things that really put Toronto on the map. It's also one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World, according to the ASCE.
I also love the CN tower as I am a fellow Canadian
Zack Smith Effeil tower is so much classier. CN Tower is a trash.
@@wildearth3992 agree with first sentence. Not second
I love canton tower and pearl tower.
Meist Syans Why ? This modern architecture look old and trash now. And I agree Canton and Pearl Tower are magnificent !
Mine too, I can never wait long for each new webisode. Although the Canton and Skytree towers are different, the CN Tower is my favorite. It is minimal and still a grand scale tower that doesn't impose itself but is a massive Toronto symbol...plus I was born in 1976, when it was built.
KVLY TV Mast is my favourite
Finally something said about Toronto
The Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai is one of my favorite! It’s hyper-modern design and location on the tip of Lujiazui does wonders to Shanghai’s skyline.
Amazing video as usual, keep it up!
Its also the first new tower in the Shanghai skyline with it being build in the 1990s
It actually looks "Soviety". Unmistakably from that age
This makes Sydneys centrepoint tower look to so boring and insignificant. Especially with the giant Westfield logo on it
hahah mate i was expecting to see it in this video but when they started with shanghai, i was like oh, sydney tower is fucked lmao
sadly enough we aren't gong to see anything taller than it in our lifetimes due to planning and CASA restrictions.
Fan of skyscrapers
I stopped everything at work just to watch this video. Always great to see a new video from the B1M in my feed.
Strange to think the CN Tower held its reign for thirty-one solid years - considering how competitive many countries are.
I hadn't even heard of a couple of these towers, so this was a real eye-opener!
Really nice, I was transfix this episode. For me this was standout editing. The whole video flowed nicely. Thank you
Absolutely outstanding work once again. Better and better each time you are. Working at the Airport and loving buildings and mass transit for my whole life, this is the top channel on RUclips to tantalize my curiosity.
This is a surprisingly theatrical video for such a simple concept. Good work.
The TV tower in Düsseldorf will always be my favourite.
Yes. Its Breath-Taking 😍
It's somewhat reminiscent of the _Jetsons' Tower!_
I finally see Riga in the B1M. Thank you! BTW Riga TV and radio tower is the tallest TV tower in the EU.
👏
Sonyman Games seems like a big deal for people living in latvia?
@@HerreDePerre Actually for people who love skyscrapers, Latvia isn't really the one that shines out, so for those people yeah, it is a big deal. P. S. I really love this channel so.
That soundtrack tho. Gave me goosebumps, and the feels...😊
I was in skytree. It's amazing.
That introduction, you got me straight away. Thanks guys, you are amazing.
Thank you so much for posting ! Would love from Vietnam !
Tks for this. I've been interested in knowing more about these structures. It would be great if you could do a video in detail about each one. They are the most distinctive of all structures.
0:43 that's Radio and TV tower in Riga, Latvia. 🇱🇻
And 2:28 as well
It looks like that Dubai Creek Tower has somewhere been copied from this Tower 🙄
As I'm in my 4th year of architecture school I keep on loving your videos more and more
Fascinating. This channel is Absolutely Fabulous.
Another great video, Kudos B1M. Oriental Pearl Tower Shanghai is my favourite.
Great video!
The command of English language in these videos... is by far the most professional among not only peers but certainly among public at large nowadays
I have never been so interested in buildings. It is amazing what beautifull voice and editing can do.
The preamble to these B1M videos is simply amazing with a commanding insight of what's to come thru the entire video, kudos
Im living next to Stuttgart where the History of free standing Towers started or was revolutionized, I love them
really nice content! keep your good work
you did an excellent job on this,, what a great video, really impressive,, thanks for posting
The Rameswaram TV Tower, Emley Moor TV Tower, Tokyo Tower, Kiev TV Tower, Oriental Pearl Tower, Ostankino Tower, CN Tower, Canton Tower, and the Tokyo Skytree are my favorites.
love this channel so much. feeds my amateur love of architecture. explaining with audio and visuals what i'm not capable of working out myself lol. also the presenter is 4ucking ripped! and a really nice bloke. keep it up B1M!
Amazing video as always 👌
Really amazing cinematography in this one!
Another great video!
It's a shame that The B1M hasn't reached 1M yet
🤦♂️
He even has 1M in his name
Loved the background music for this one!
To this day I still think the CN Tower is the tallest tower in the world. It's a really iconic and well known tower compared to the newer ones that beat it. It's been the tallest structure in the world for more than 3 decades and still the tallest one in the West.
Yay not only a B1M video but a super tower one! *smashes play*.
Your videos always give me chills and the stunning visuals in combination with the epic music almost make me tear up sometimes. Absolutely top notch content and information!
A stellar video once again!
I would have liked to see the Berlin TV Tower (apart from 0:55), a national symbol in former East Germany and a trademark of present-day Berlin and a reunited Germany.
Love the vids keep going man
Ever since I was a kid, I loved skyscrapers, architecture and civil engineering. This channel greatly covers all of the above.
No idea how I found this channel but I love it
My favourite tower is the Oriental pearl tower in Shanghai. It's so beautiful at night.
One of the best channels on RUclips
Thanks for video, like always it is great video.
B1M uploads a video, I click on it, I'm a simple man.
Guangzhou tower is arguably the most unique of them all
And all those presented are butt ugly
You are absolutely right!
Pearl tower is iconic as well. Bravo for china! It's a win win
Nah, Tokyo sky tree is the most eye pleasing
@@meistsyans7708 You mean the ugliest tower on earth?
This is such a cool channel.
Love the channel. Have you guys ever considered doing any long form documentary-type videos, similar to those old discovery channel shows like Megastructures? I can imagine the logistics and cost surrounding that would be pretty immense for a youtube channel
We released this two weeks ago - ruclips.net/video/v01LqrgJjJ0/видео.html
Love these kind of videos
Such an amazing video, so beautifully orchestrated
Thank you so much! 👍👍
Thanks for another great video. Please could you produce a video detailing some of the challenges of "building tall", e.g. detail of tuned mass dampers, depth required in relation to height (obviously this also depends on the depth to the bedrock), construction joints, allowing for sway and how a building bears its enormous weight, how the material is lifted to such heights (I'm thinking about the concrete in the Burj Kalifa), how to earthquake proof such buildings. I think you've touched on some of theses aspects in other videos but I wonder if there's enough here to dedicate a video to this subject.
Thanks.
I don’t know how but I will achieve the honour to collaborate with you till the end of 2021. Love your Channel!
Very intresting as always
mint channel marra luv it
I've just found this channel and I already love it
Awesome as usual. Please go 4K and blow my mind.
thanks a lot, great video¡¡¡¡ :-)
Man, don't ever let those chilling background music get out of your channel. It lifts up the content to higher level of awesomeness.
I'm a skyscraper fan and enjoy this Channel very much. You do a great job and keep up the great work. Thank you.
Thank you for continuing to educate me....Tall structures buildings are so beautiful to me....
this channel deserve 1M subscribers
We agree 😉
More than that.
Could've done Auckland sky tower. It is the tallest tower in the southern hemisphere.
Meh. Other than that it's not too interesting, ey? 😏
@@Irgendeindepp3 have to agree lol
Not much to compete with in the southern hemisphere
My house is the tallest in my village, just saying.
The title of this video is "world", not a specific region.
Came here to say exactly this, it might not be very tall in comparison but could've got a special mention atleast.
スカイツリーはライティングの色合いが落ち着いてて綺麗ですよね。
The gradation of colors of Skytree is so beautiful, it's not vivid but calm and exquisite. I've never got bored of it although I see it everyday.
I now can impress your voice and accent 🙌🙌
Would be nice to see how they built those.
I watched this on a OnePlus 7 Pro and with that soundtrack, it's like being at a concert/ opera with Fred Mills giving some random lecture in the background 😂😍😍 amazing video, as always
Thank you .Video provide good information.
More Videos like these please! I looooovvvvveeee it
I live in Toronto and my father worked as a steelworker on the CN Tower. One of his friends worked on it too and he parachuted off the Skypod, The taller observation deck. Of course, he was fired but he came to one of my high school classes and showed 35mm film and lot's of other information. I would like to visit the Tokyo Skytree Tower. The legs (holding up the observation floors) for lack of a better term, are so wide, it what stands out. It makes the Tower look like some ginormous giant! Sound familiar......!😉
I used to hate Wednesdays, thanks to you I'm loving it
BAMMMM!!! This channel keeps getting better, reaching new heights, lol.
Haha, thanks! ✊️✊️
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the Dubai Creek Tower. As far as I’m aware it’s still under construction. Love your channel keep up the great educational content!
Amazing video! This really opened my eyes....
But you said Guangzhou wrong.
Your channel makes me regret not becoming an architect when I had the chance.
You'll have to go in depth on the Dubai Creek Tower upon completion. Keep up the great work 👍
Thank you for showing my home-city Riga Radio and TV Tower seen at 0:42 and 2:29. Not among the highest but surely one of the best looking of all these towers.
Broadcasting from the CN tower in Toronto is my favourite thing 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦👨👨
I had the chance to see and visit both skydeck of the tokyo skytree last summer (350m / 450m) and I am not ashamed to say that it was the most mindblowing thing I ever experienced in my life.
And now in Istanbul we have a masterpiece called Camlıca Tv Tower, 385meters and you can see it anywhere on Istanbul. It will be done at least 5-6 mounts later.
Kiev TV Tower
I've been to many of them. It is just so incredible to see them in person.
Thanks man
think I'm addicted to the B1M now...
I have been in the Tokyo Sky Tree. It is awesome!
CN Tower is by far the best!
I am lucky enough to have seen and visited a couple of these towers at my young age. So far I have seen the Pearl Tower, the CN Tower and the Canton Tower. My favorite has to be the Canton Tower because of the modern design and because the amazing view from the roof deck of this tower! There is also an attraction on top of the tower which is really cool. But the CN tower is also really iconic and looks amazing from the Toronto Island park.
With the rise of fiber optic cables, etc., I wonder if tall transmission towers will be built again.
Perhaps we still need giant towers for wireless communications! As useful as fibre optics are, you don't have any connected to you cellular phone.
Dubai’s Creek Tower
Please make a video about European skyscraper history.
Witte Huis, Royal Liver Building, Boerentoren, Telefónica Building, Martini Tower, Kotelnicheskaya Embankment,
Moscow State University, Messeturm, Commerzbank Tower, Triumph Palace, City of Capitals, The Shard, Mercury City Tower, Federation Tower, Lakhta Center
I can listen to this guy voice all day at work. 🥰🥰🥰😎
