My big brother showed me this song just now and I'm so glad to still have him in my life to text me songs to listen too. I never get to see him but I'm glad he sent me this song tonight. I love my big brother
Suicidal, drinking the pain away. Senses fail and silverstein playing through. Always brings me back to a simpler time. My suicidal music from middle school but now it reminds me of good memories and gives me a will to live
The past year of my life, in my spare time I've been revisiting my teen music. I'm 35 years old now and holy crap this brings me back to 2004 when I was 16 and had this CD blasting in my room. My hair was shaggy, my ears were gauged/plugged to a 3/4 and I had snake bites. Life was all about following bangs, skateboarding, going to shows, my friends, and parties.
hello fellow Floridaman! we are both 35 year old former scene kids, enjoying the angsty music of our youth for that nostalgic feeling. If your from Florida maybe you remember.. Senses Fail and Saosin played here in maybe 06? I saw them at this venue in Port St. Lucie of all places.. It could've held like 2000 people and there were maybe 200 that came out. It was a hell of a show. We were all so passionate back then. Anyways, sorry for the random essay, I'm having fun revisiting memories as well!
god i miss these days lol skateboarding with friends after school, now all i do is work get tattoos and longboard by myself haha i still have fun though
duuuuude......... high school sucked major balls but i still miss it sometimes. i miss the bands that came by my hometown back then nowadays it's all garbage! i'm only 26 i shouldn't feel like an old man...
Broo we needa get together all my skater friends have gone seperate ways.. there was at least 20 of us every day now I dont have anyone to skate with. Damn that was almost 10 years ago.
Me and my 8th grade boyfriend are now husband and wife 20 years later with our daughter sleeping in the back of the car and we are singing this at the top our lungs❤
for reals though....all these songs make me think about middle and high school lol just coming home and binge watching fuse. loaded and that one show where people sent text messages that would show up during music videos were the shit lol
This brings me back to the simpler times . Now 33 to be on Monday and wonder where the time has gone . Was in high school then blink I am in my mid 30s . This sure was the best time of my life
OHMYGOD i have been trying to recall what this song was for years. i had bought their album when i was a teen and this was my favorite song on it. could not for the life of me ever remember who sang it or really any lyrics. googled scalpel body grave song and this popped up. i love the internet.
Everyone felt like this in some point of their lives. I feel for those who didn’t know Senses Fail. This music got me through High School and still gets me through tough times. Love the energy this band always gives me.
I'm 30, I remember listening to this song over and over while coding my Myspace on the gateway computer at my parents house. I own a home now, have a ten year old son, a 115hp british motorcycle, and a K20 powered acura. This shit still makes me smile so hard.
These guys help shape me and my best friend's music taste all those years ago lol. Playing street hockey, playing along to all the emo songs of the 00's on broomsticks in the garage, meeting the girls at the mall on friday night. Now I'm 30 years old and I heard someone say "Senses Fail" at a wedding I was just at, and It all came flooding back to me. I haven't heard those words uttered in at least 10 years. I _certainly_ haven't heard this song since it was on my 250mb mp3 player. This song was right after "Smile in your sleep" by Silverstein lol. What a nostalgia trip.
I love Senses Fail. First time I saw them live was at Warped Tour 2006 in VA Beach. I’ll never forget some dude tried to throw his CD at the singer on stage at the end and he threw it back and basically told him to shove it. Then told him he could’ve approached it differently and maybe he would’ve taken the cd but denied him out of pure principal. Fun fact, also the one and only time I ever saw jimmy eat world live too. Crazy times.
ill never forget my homie who showed me this band. he died a few months back and idk if im just brain dead but they just have banger after banger after banger and ill cherish this music forever its the least i can do for my dawg
My friend went to an “Emo Prom” bar night last night. She sent me some snaps. This has been in my head since then. When I was learning guitar at 16, somebody shower me the intro riff and chords. I haven’t thought about this song or played in almost 20 years.
After all these years growing up listening to them I am finally seeing them live at Vans Warped tour for the first time ever this year 2018 for Vans final tour. Damn time flys. Kids one day will never know how VANS Warped tour paved the way for bands like these. 90s kids for life man. #1993
This band did the, this scene, emo stuff made us known. We are gonna just be harder metal. There are some really good scream songs, but nothing what they'd become.
I got a job at my old high school I graduated 2015 and saw a student with a senses fail shirt and then this got stuck in my head all day. So if y’all don’t mind I’m gonna go make a playlist real quick and take a nostalgia trip
Loved em so much when I was an angsty teen. I can remember the electric feeling I had seeing them for the first time at Saint Andrews Hall, the floors buckled with all the thrashing and moshing!!
I just saw them live a few days ago and they killed it. I wasn't really into them but a girl I used to know was lol. I keep listening to their bangers now. 🖤
I remember watching this on Fuse all of the time. What a time to be alive.

Fuse! The best though
@sixohtwo12 This was on Fuse?! 😱

Any other bands you listen to a lot?
I might not look emo anymore but my heart sure does.
Не😊

Still emo here hehe
If you don't look emo anymore then it was just a phase for you. You ain't emo from any angle.
This isn't emo. Check out rights of spring. This is pop punk 100%
My big brother showed me this song just now and I'm so glad to still have him in my life to text me songs to listen too. I never get to see him but I'm glad he sent me this song tonight. I love my big brother
This is so good but you must hear “The Wave” or “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘🐺🎶🐺🤘
I just moved away from my brother in January as well. Makes me feel at home when he sends me song recs
Thats very sweet. Sounds like a cool brother
Suicidal, drinking the pain away. Senses fail and silverstein playing through. Always brings me back to a simpler time. My suicidal music from middle school but now it reminds me of good memories and gives me a will to live

I’ve been doing the same lately, been a ton of AFI, bad religion and anti flag, and of course Senses Fail
We’re our parents looking back on the 70s at this point 🥹

So much nostalgia. I wish music was still as good as this.
Ya
its still not as good as this
there is music as good as this, i just hope there’s no music video as good
dirt this was the best music bud. This generation of bands killed it.
@@dirt420 Which bands new continue to make this genre of music?
The acoustic guitar part at the beginning of this song always makes me nostalgic asf for some reason.
cool little riff
Same!!
IT REALLY DOES!
Iirc, there’s a fully acoustic studio version of this song. Along with a couple other tracks like Rum is for Drinking, not Burning.
I hope Fuse comes out with a classic channel and plays all these old pop punk videos I grew up watching...
Thats all i watched at one point
it would be great

Saw them in Vienna last week and can confirm
Agree Dr.
Saw them in Leipzig in December. Dude was doing handstands and backflips.
@@DancingDivinely How lucky you are.
It's mid 2021 and this song still slays. Everything about this is classic 2004.
did you think they had a time limit?
That last shot of the empty stage and the dim lighting sure says it all. So depressing those times are long gone.
Good fucking times
solid 15 rn

I just saw senses fail in concert about a month ago and they played this song and it was so cool🤩
