I love being a “young” millennial who got to listen to old Fall Out Boy, Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, Jimmy Eat World, Paramore, Sufjan Stevens, Sia, Blink 182 plus all the great rap and r&b like Ashanti, Ciara, Missy Elliott, Lil Wayne, Destiny’s Child, Ludacris, Usher and so much more when I was a kid. Middle and high school was amazing, musically and even TV shows like One Tree Hill and teen movies like 10 Things I Hate About You, Cruel Intentions and Mean Girls were great. ✨🌙
Oh god the memories of just lying on my bed listening to mcr, taking back Sunday and panic at the disco. Go days you know the ones before mcr broke up. And when I was still a kid…
15 years ago.. what the heck.. lol… I’m so freaking proud to have been a part of this era and this music. It’s hard to imagine what it will sound like to a young kid in another 15 years from now, when it’ll be “oldies”- but I’m inclined to think it’s gonna sound damn cool!! 😎 When this album came out, I was blasting it in my red Volkswagen Jetta with beige leather interior and a sunroof, and life was sweet. Has just gotten my first apartment, was going to college… man how time flies!
I'm thirteen and I startet to hear rock and punk songs on Spotify. I got in love with it and now I'm here and absolutely love these songs like this and Liar or others. Must have been a great time when those songs have been released.
Those were great years. Panic! At the Disco, AFI, My Chemical Romance, and many other amazing bands dominated the radio, television, etc. MySpace was way better than Facebook with you getting to edit profiles like crazy. The internet was just getting big. I was lucky to grow up in those times.

When I was 11 years old, I had no idea what the video represented. After years and years of relationships with friends, co workers, and family, this is a masterpiece.
you just arent looking at the right places, there are a ton of great bands out there like pierce the veil, sleeping with sirens, bring me the horizon and much more
nic732 go home. Sure, if you want "core" music, it's out there. But good rock and alternative music has gone to the wayside. I have nothing against "core" music, I listen to it, too.... but it's not the same.
***** nic732 Amber Cox Just some you should check out. Not sure if you would like them but you might. Citizen, Seahaven, Touche Amore, Basement, Real Friends, Such Gold, Transit, Joyce Manor. They are all great bands IMO, but if you want the ones that sound relatively close to Taking back sunday, it would be Seahaven, Citizen, Basement, and Joyce Manor.
I’m 32. I saw these guys in concert with my best friend 15 years ago. Good memories. Angela you were a good bestie and I’m sorry I disappeared from your life 🖤
14 years old almost 10 years ago. I had a mix cd with this song on it and would sit in the back of the bus and would have it on repeat. The nostalgia is strong. This is when music didn't suck
Gordon Kenyon lol I use to do the same and looking at all the younger kids saying they listened to it 4 years ago on comments above yours cracks me up!
Right. They will never experience the hype behind this track like we did when it first came out. Makes me think of my long hippie hair as a teen dressed in all black everyday. Black nail polish god memories
Yes indeed all the memories I use to put it on blast and dance around the house or play games on the computer lol idk how many cds I burnt it too! Lmao
@@gordonkenyon94420 I also have a mix CD with this song on it plus other 2000s songs on it. And I completely agree with you that 2006 was an amazing year for music.

Man I LOVED take back Sunday . I still but but the love I had for this band was insane back then . It was like an anthem for a certain era of my life. Wow. The emotions that come from listening to this band that come flooding in from the past ! Overwhelming a bit . I wish I could go back sometimes! lol but don’t we all. I was the class of 2010 my dood. I feel you.
Turn 30 next month and graduated the same year 2006 lol
This song just popped in my head last night 💓 can't believe it's at least 17 yrs old
I love being a “young” millennial who got to listen to old Fall Out Boy, Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, Jimmy Eat World, Paramore, Sufjan Stevens, Sia, Blink 182 plus all the great rap and r&b like Ashanti, Ciara, Missy Elliott, Lil Wayne, Destiny’s Child, Ludacris, Usher and so much more when I was a kid. Middle and high school was amazing, musically and even TV shows like One Tree Hill and teen movies like 10 Things I Hate About You, Cruel Intentions and Mean Girls were great. ✨🌙
Instant nostalgia reading this comment 😭✨
I'm a gen z but I grew up the same way. This song is so nostalgic for reals
💯
Blink 182 is GREAT!!!
No.
9th grade , taking back Sunday nd mcr! good days.
I can smell the mascara
+240 of Akina and the eyeliner
Oh god the memories of just lying on my bed listening to mcr, taking back Sunday and panic at the disco. Go days you know the ones before mcr broke up. And when I was still a kid…
the ancient days of Myspace and tbs and Mcr....yes, 2005
Shad0wReaper104 well yeah im in the same grade right now and yes its a hell im through right now T_T
Has just gotten my first apartment, was going to college… man how time flies!
listening this to this on christmas :P MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS!!!
38 years old still listening to this era of music
Fuuuck man, you were 21 years old, when this song was released
Damn this song takes me all the way back to 8th grade!!
Lol same it was my first cd ever bought
Lol i remember one of my friends Melanie had this song on her profile on Myspace thats how i first found out about this song.
I am in 8th grade
Yes exactly. good times man this was when hip hop wasn't the most popular genre. you could actually find a cute girl that didn't listen to trap music
Brandon Thomas haha so true man.
*is still a fan like 12 years after*
WOOO!
Taking Back Sunday is life oh my god
+SeikoSnow i know man i know the feels doe
+aaron lao Aaron your fucking 10
I was 18 when this song came out. Now I'm 36 and it still gives me the chills... every ..single.. time.
I was lucky to grow up in those times.
it was a good fkn time, screaming this w all your friends
They still make rock music lmao and punk

The fact that I can still jam to this some 15 years later is still on point. They’re still one of my top bands I’ll forever enjoy.
This song still hits hard in Christmas 2019. I'm smashed and lovin it.

Hindsight in year 2020. Still the best music of the decade.
Is that u James Thornton?
Damn you had no idea what was coming
My mom's favorite band in highschool, now my favorite band as a teenager. Surprised her with concert tickets and we go in 2 days!!
This song has aged sooooo well. Guarantee that in 20 years itll play on the then classic rock stations all the time.
MakeDamnSure That i will never forget this song!!!
this song is such a masterpiece, the guitar is absolutely amazing.
One of if not my favorite songs of all time
This is so good but you must hear “City” by SLT 🌇🥁🌇
Ten years later still a fav. Tbs forever.
Years later. Good music never dies ♡♡♡♡
Heroes always get remembered, but legends never die

I am 31 I loved this song way back in the myspace days when I was 21 soon well all be in our fourties others in their 30s thats life folks lol were not getting any younger but life doesnt end here when we die we will continue with God up there if you accept jesus christ as lord and saviour love you all as he says love thy neighbor and God speed in jesus name.
That's a nice way to look at aging :-)

Lmao
Mama, we all go to hell
Yeah myspace chat was the best as soon as they took it down it went really downhill fast.
Oh my gosh. This is so nostalgic. I really miss the early 2000's tbh.

mike midge totally
When I was 11 years old, I had no idea what the video represented. After years and years of relationships with friends, co workers, and family, this is a masterpiece.
i miss good music :(( music hasnt been good since i was a freshmen and tht was about 6 years ago.....sigh
you just arent looking at the right places, there are a ton of great bands out there like pierce the veil, sleeping with sirens, bring me the horizon and much more
nic732 go home.
Jonathan Huang
All of those bands are the bomb, good taste! I was so bummed when Basement broke up.
Agreed 100%. music has gotten so shitty lately.
Until this day, This Song is still a Banger🤘
This is so good but you must hear “City” by SLT 🤘🌇🥁🌇🤘
Its 2019 and still no other song has hit my heart like this one has.
Daniela B agreed 100%
Facts
Amazing song!
Daniela B sad I just heard it for the first time a couple of days ago. It hit me pretty hard
@@VerboteneStadt if you just heard this youre too young
I’m 32. I saw these guys in concert with my best friend 15 years ago. Good memories. Angela you were a good bestie and I’m sorry I disappeared from your life 🖤
Talk to her again
Time really does fly doesn’t it?
Lmao
Yeah it's all just tits and ass nowadays
@@gordonkenyon94420 I also have a mix CD with this song on it plus other 2000s songs on it. And I completely agree with you that 2006 was an amazing year for music.
It was never a phase. I still feeling it!!!
This is so good but you must hear “City” by SLT 🤘🌇🥁🌇🤘
yeah i cant get nostalgic about this CD because it has been in my cd changer since like 07 so when everyone is like holy crap man this brings back the days I'm like yeah yesterday on my way to class.
Fuck yeah man!
Lol I listen to Gotta Bad Feeling wayyy too much for my health. Seriously my ears are fuckin shod. It might be one of their cliche songs to mention but fuck it it helped get me hooked to rock waayy back when I wanted something more than Linkin Park.
my son had "make damn sure" tattooed on his arm, he died last dec. he loved your group though. Colby John Williams age 25
+pamela williams My condolences, I can feel your pain.
+Mervic Ishmael Talens Thank you!
+pamela williams Aww, sorry to hear that :/ So young.
awwww hope you have a good day
+fam cedervall Thank you so much, it was a year already the 2nd of December, I did not know a person could cry for so long. How much it changes you losing your child, you are forever changed. not much matters anymore. thank you for the good wishes.
Still listening to this in October 2019. Throwback to my emo days.
This kind of music doesn't get enough respect. Grunge gets tons of respect and in time I think this stuff will. There's some real gems, quite a few.
Grunge never got its shine till Kurt cobain stepped in. It’s really about looks and personality (mostly looks); people are deeply attracted to Kurt’s looks. The Melvin’s pretty much started grunge and nirvana is the only thing people think of when grunge is mentioned
Give it a few years
middle school, nokia, myspace, windows xp, limewire...ooohh nostalgia
ivan pernes yooooo such a nostalgic comment!! i miss my chunky windows desktop pc and all those days spent watching 240p youtube videos

I’m here because my teacher told me to listen to TBS and I’m not disappointed
Sounds like an awesome teacher. Ask them if they also like Brand New as these two bands go hand in hand for many people.
I am a teacher and regularly suggest this band to my students.
@@Coffeecook2252 that's amazing? i love them. may i ask why you suggest them?
your teacher was probably your age when he first heard this. dang im old
@@palecelery Yeah she was, she's in her 30s
I still come back and watch this at least once a year. And I STILL feel it in my heart on that last chorus

too much teenage nostalgia ugh
This went HARD ASF when i use to play RuneScape them and brand new were my shiz 💪🏽
The young love , the mistakes , the curiosity I had with life and the adventure ! I know it’s still there but it was a different feeling back then .
know what u mean bro..wish u all the best
15 year old me!! Brings back major memories I'm 26 seem like yesterday still

Makes me wish i still had my MP3 player, I want that song library back!
