They DID nerf classes, and they did it all of the time, don't you remember "World of Roguecraft" where they showed the fact that Rogues with level 1 daggers and no gear could stunlock everyone into submission including the best geared warriors and paladins? Or when they buffed mages allowing them to blink around everyone and 'Pom/pyro - ZHC+ToEP' one shot everyone including warriors and paladins? They then buffed warriors and paladins to the point where any time a warrior or paladin passed by you with Ashkandi and or Untamed Blade it didn't matter your class, they were going to kill you in one or two shots...Then they took it all way and it went back and fourth, back and fourth, it never stopped...Then they added the PVP weapons, so every Shaman would drop a windfury totem and stunlock you to death with unstoppable force.. Vanilla was fucking broken as shit, it wasn't fixed, it wasn't harder, it was a bad game. People claiming how much better it was fall into two groups, they either didn't actually play during vanilla and just talk about how great it was because they came in during Burning Crusade, or they dwell on the past with nostalgia goggles stuck on their faces and don't actually remember how awful it was. There was nice things about it, but for every nice thing like Naxx 40, the opening of AQ gates, Alterac Valley, there was 20 awful things, like greedy players, horrible "DKP" system, and trolls that would take legendary items and quit their guild. You guys miss it now, but after a few months, you will remember how shitty it was.
@@systematik I'm not excited at all about Classic server. I didn't play Vanilla but it looks like crap. Just looking on youtube at the class specs and Learning that many of them were useless makes me have an idea of how shitty it was.
@@DarKodama They were not useless. They were not optimal, but you could make it through MC and maybe BWL with a group of totally non-optimal players, if everyone knew what they were doing. And some of the non-optimal builds were easier to play, so for an average player, without mad keyboard skills, having an Elemental Shaman (say) in a group doing consistently mediocre dps, but also buffing his party, was better than having them playing one of the optimal builds badly. We raided with a feral druid off tank. Usually we were fine. We thought it was fun getting our group of misfit toys as far as we could. I don't know what to tell you. WoW was much more casual back then, not everyone wanted to be "The Best". You played what you enjoyed playing and got as far as you could. Until you got well into BWL the numbers threshold was not that high. And if you got serious, that was the point you optimized your character for raiding ,and rolled another misfit toy alt for fun. Sure the top guilds kicked people out if they were not optimal, but most guilds were chuffed to make it to 40 people who wanted to raid on the same nights.

I played vanilla just like 2-3 months before TBC was out, so I hope I will enjoy now.
Never played WoW in 2004, but I'm damn well playing it this time around!
I started playing at 8 years old and now I’m 20 years old, I never got to experience vanilla WoW but I will get to now 😀😭
same I started in Burning crusade. I can't wait to experience the beginning of wow
@@gahmivolka played from launch day @13 and stopped after first expansion.
My friend got me a scroll thing for MOP which was trash af.
Cant wait for this
@@pbateman6775 I sadly didn't get to experience Vanilla. I started at the beginning of TBC.
@@pbateman6775 Mists of Pandaria was fantastic, the only people calling it "trash af" are generally the toxic trolls everyone dislikes in the first place, hell, just typing "trash af" has got to be one of the most juvenile things in gaming today.
@@systematik no it was . i will say the pvp was somewhat ok but the rest of it was just a complete waste of time with pointless trash mob grinds and everything else in the game designed to squeeze another month outta ya
Who's watching this now that there are only 3 days until Classic launches??
Future me 3 days later: Damnit I'm in a 3 day queue line!
WHEN I SAW THIS BACK THEN I STARTED CRYING. PURE BLISS AND HAPPINESS 😄.
I have never even played WoW but I can feel the audience's hype from here.
I’ve been playing classic for the last 3 weeks but this still gave me goosebumps.
This reaction is amazing. Damn Diablo Immortal for ruining blizzcon this year!
What, you dont have a phone?
"You don't want that. You think you do, but you don't."
8 days boys!!! Goodbye beautiful sun, it was nice seeing you, but I'm on a mission.
6!
4 DAYS 3 HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With the way all the classic servers are filling up and the fact they have to add new servers, we may get to relive the launch experience lol
It just means Blizzard's expectations have been easily blown away. It's potential is far greater than they realized
it means many will try it and many will quit finding out how easy the gameplay was, and that it was just time consuming.. time wich not everyone has anymore these days. besides unless people think its fun getting forced into 4 usefull specs they will be dissapointed really badly xD and yes i played vanilla i prefer to keep it as a good memory instead of letting it be destroyed by the toxic community we got today
@@chukky1124 some poeple go, new people come.
I need to change my shorts
"someone once said that you can't go home again" I don't know if anyone caught this but shes referring to the guy who introduced this clip to the audience. He was the one who a couple years back in a Q & A told a fan that he couldn't go home again"
Did he actually say "you can't go home again" or are you referring to the "no. And by the way you don't want that either"? If he did I'd love some sauce with that!
The Real MVP i wish i had the source of this
@@andreegabrielsson9667 "you think you do but you don't" was him telling us we couldn't go back to Vanilla WoW. So he might not have said it literaly but it is what he meant.
HERE WE GO AGAIN
I have never given WoW a chance at all but I have always respected it very much and its community as a fellow gamer. WoW has always been a very, very respected game in many aspects. So when watching him building up to say "Vanilla" I actually shed a tear. Maybe of the respect but mostly because I can truly feel how long ago it actually released and how well received it became after some trial and error at launch. It's like I have been living right next to this game for so long without trying it out myself. Now, maybe I will, maybe I will.
That trailer and the delivery was immaculate and I'm on the same boat as you. I'm giving Classic Burning Crusade a try right now. Still don't know how I feel but I'll keep playing for now.
I genuinely hope you tried it... cause its worth it
Covid made classic a magical time. Everybody shamelessly online and at home playing wow all day. Just like the good days
This announcement gives me tears in my eyes. All the memories of servers prior to this, the loss of hope after Nostalrius devs gave near to no info after their meeting at Blizzard HQ. It all made sense in that moment. And what a journey it was once again.
So close we're almost there friends!
And all of a sudden, we're all now getting nostalgic over the release of the re release lol. Chromie save us
4:23 Laughs in TBC character boost
never played classic nor vanilla at the time but this announcement never fails to give me goosebumps
Still hyped.
Sometimes I come back to this video just for the tears of joy.
Now classic + please!
Classic plus would be Crazy man, if they do it the classic way
play Turtle Wow
This time next week, I am gonna be playing Vanilla!!!
strength! blood and honor
The tears in my eyes from the nostalgia and the FUCKIN EPICNESS OF THAT ANNOUNCEMENT AND THE TRAILER HOLY SHIT!
Exactly one more month boys....we're almost home.
Just rewatched this today and when he started to talk about ice cream I still got goosebumps
We think we do and we sure as hell do.
approaching level 60 on Fairbanks, and I still come back to this video...one of the top 5 shocked moments of my life.
Having Mr. Brack do the announcement is poetic considering an answer he once gave. Anyhow, wonderful news! :)
BTW, I sincerely hope this is legacy/vanilla and not "pristine." In other words, the original vanilla experience, warts and all.
Three days from now classic will launch.
I came back to watch this and it feels like everything is coming full circle.
Too bad Warcraft 3 Reforged wasnt released like last week or so, I mean that would've been a perfect time-sink before we get classic and also refresh us on the lore.
You think you don't, but you DO!
I'll be 20 in exactly...30 days from now and I never tasted vanilla WoW. I'm happy to discover what y'all seem to love so much!
SmoothCriminal YOU ARE NOT PREPARED
SmoothCriminal it actually sucks, get ready
I don't care how long it takes, the fact that it WILL come makes me happy. Whether its one year or 20 years, I'll get to go home.
Eschatonx Its coming on summer 2019

We just didn't give a shit for many years til we realized oh hey there IS money in this.
"you think you do, but you dont" - 2015
How the hell is this 5 years old? Havent played it yet but seems like I just heard the announcement last year
Time flies…
holy shit that's the same thing i'm thinking.
6 years have passed it seems absurd
And here we are. 3 weeks to Classic..
2 weeks.
We're going home, man.
What made the game great was it was hard to level please keep that same model
You get to know the people that gank you very well but not so much the same fraction people.
