Great video. I've been using my unit with bags, but the AFC always comes on regardless. I was wondering whether there is a way to switch off AFC by default and only turn it on when needed. It would save having to use two buttons everytime.

I agree it would be better to have a switch rather than a button, as then it wouldn't forget its settings the moment the extractor is turned off.

I think I can see why the sanders weren't sticking as much as they could perhaps. The orbital sander didn't look like it had holes in the sand paper for the dust to be extracted through, this is maybe why it glides easier, but it also doesn't look like its going to extract any dust, unless I'm wrong. My Bosch random orbital sander has holes for the dust to be extracted through.

I use mesh sand paper on my tools as it doesn't require me to line up the holes, as I can't see them. It is still able to suck the dust away through the mesh paper, they are just more expensive. You can find the sanding sheets I use here www.axminstertools.com/mirka-abranet-abrasive-disc-80g-150mm-pkt-50-953215 as an example, other brands sell them as well.

@@VisionlessDesigns arh, yes that makes sense. I do remember you saying that. Even with vision the wholes can be a pain to line up. I've got a Bosch GAS 35 M coming in a few days, can't wait to try it out.

@@mad1336 If I'm honest the discovery of the mesh paper plus saver pads has been a great upgrade to my sanding tools that I wish I had years ago. I don't miss using dowels to help with getting the sheets on lol. I hope you enjoy your new extractor when it arrives.

But are the noises made by the vacuum cleaner as soon as it is turned on or when it is turned off normal? I just bought it and I don't know if it's normal.

If you are referring to the beating sound every few seconds, then yes this is normal. It's the air filter cleaning it's self by backfiring through it. There is a button labelled AFC under the suction level dial to turn the filter cleaning off.

Sorry that this is very late. For anyone else that wants to know, the 230V version uses a 13A fuse.
