I agree with most of what you said, I played only few gacha games like TOF(played since day 1 till Frigg's banner) and GI (stopped around AR40-50), but never seemed to enjoy them in long run and quit. Didn't know much about WW, the game suddenly popped up on my reels like 2 days before release date and decided to try, probably the most fun I had out of all gacha games I've played
basically how I feel brother, hope they keep pushin the game to be better! 🙏🏼
@@priqe yea especially the echo system, feels too grindy (it took me 3 days just to get crit rate main stat for monkey boss for my jiyan) and echos material are scarce
I still regret wasting my time with Tower of Fantasy, that game was so trash
tof was lacking in a lot of areas but can't say it was complete trash after a year playing it, i still miss playing Samir's guns whenever i play a gun character in any game lol, her moveset was so fun
the aerial combat is another thing I liked a lot, and the exploration progress tracking is the best i've seen in all open world gacha games so far
but yea still a bad game overall, dont regret quitting it, the powercreep was especially horrible, made to suck money out of people just to be allowed to exist on the game whereas in other games you would have plenty of options to do something even without high investment in the latest characters. Fiona's release in particular was the breakpoint for me
@@ultimate1450 true, some aspects of the game was well implemented for me like the use off gadjets and vehicles, though the story, characters expression, and powercreep was horrible. I bought like a battlepass but quit the next week, kinda regret that

If your all about just fighting, killing and getting good then I would suggest trying out PGR because the combat in that is even better then it is in WuWa.
Played PGR a few days, absolutely hated orbs mechanic, extremely distracting, really glad WW doesn't have it

i play Genshin, Hi3, HSR, PGR, WW. If you dont like genshin with just 2 hours, i think you just dont like the vibe cuz the gacha wont be relevant until 30 hours in or so. WW combat derive from PGR which kinda similar to Hi3. Hack n Slash switch character, dodge slowmo.
The main hook for me in WW is the chara design. I got into PGR and WW beacuse Alpha Crimson Weave videos with Vergil Theme playing on it looks sooo cool.
yeah it was definitely just a vibe thing, I did actually play Hi3 for a couple weeks tho, was pretty fun! The char design is pretty top notch yea, and like I said in the vid, I realllly like the male designs

Only people played BDO says that grinding in Wuwa is not that really grindy. That game took 4 years of my adolocense, grind like 4 hours a day and for a month and still not able to max out gears and still broke after enchancing. Gladly touched the grass and escaped that hell lmao.

Eh, I don't know. I think it's mostly a good thing that it doesn't take too long to burn the daily energy cap, and the amount of materials we get feels pretty decent for the most part.
Echo Exp takes forever to grind, though. I wish they would straight up double it.

I've played genshin when it released, did that for maybe a month and stopped playing. After some time I've tried star rail and once again genshit and still could not play it.
But WuWa is for now really great, it's like genshin 2.0 with everything better (ofc there are a shitton on bugs or little stuff, but the devs are fixing it, so it's another good sign)

I don't know about it for me there in Azure Promilia, if the combat won't excite me I won't try it. Because I don't want to delve another open world gacha in my list , it's taxing for me. Plus the setting is medieval type again like Genshin "_" , so exhausted with that setting. If there's like an open world Azur Lane setting in Azure Promilia I would really try that game blindly but sadly that's not the case

i think the combat would be almost a 10/10, if it was just a little slower, i get nothing from the final 20-30% movement speed and i'm sure if they removed it i would enjoy it considerably more. Especially when you only have 3 characters i think the average cycle through them is like 1.4 seconds like it's just too quick, that and nobody looks like they are even wielding a weapon, claymores move as fast as everyone else.
Also i agree about rolling for standard weapons, you really will end up cucking your damage if you build more than a couple standard 5 star characters eventually, and the sword at least has crit and a universal passive.
i played genshin for 1~ week. then i discovered that hsr exists, and immediately dropped genshin and started playing hsr. Now i mostly play WuWa, and log onto hsr once in a while

I played the shit out of Genshin for so long, but had to put it down because of the miserable gacha rates and overall lack of attention. WuWa definitely feels like an upgrade for me.
One thing that's disappointing about the game is music, its kinda meh.
PGR blows is out of the water, there is no contest, PGR music is so, so much better....

Still worth playing though despite all the negative aspects. I say this as a non Genshin fan too, but Sumeru was too incredible to skip.. I don't think any open world gacha game will ever come close to that level of quality in a region

@@turtletre324 that's fair, I just thought It was worth mentioning that Genshin still has the exploration aspect to it that makes it relevant. WuWa has a lot to improve to reach that level.

I will always stand by this. Gacha and open world games are incompatible.....
The best gacha games for me are instance based and creative. Reverse 1999 , arknights , snowbreak and browndust. Rewarding , not time consuming and respectful of the player. What's the point of running around for hours just to farm up pulls. There is no progression , no reason to explore other than farming currency and a few pulls.
except I don't treat this game as a gacha but an open world action game where it gets update every 5 weeks which is cool imo.
Even up until now.. it's been like 3 weeks of me playing this game everyday, and I haven't use up any of my limited banner pulls yet, so I haven't tried the gacha genre at least until now. The only stuff I get is the freebies that the devs gave. You don't have to gacha just to enjoy the game.
Character building is another stuff that makes people motivated to play the game, even fluid combat experience that cannot be achieved by those games you mentioned above. ✌

Idk, at least for genshin, that's how I play. Ok I play for the 36/36 stars on spiral abyss for like 15-20 mins of my time. And I took all of the rewards. Proceed to wait for the next reset after that.
Idk how Wuthering Waves end game will be like, but I assume it wouldn't be that much different than that other game.
HSR is the also really good with respecting player's time. That's why WuWa and HSR is going to be my only two gacha games that I play.
Man thought its music is good he dont know about hoyo music is way better than this . Combat is good i have seen this same combat one of jrpg games . most typical isekai mc story . I worry about times now we going into ,people think skipping story is best thing for them then just play combat game why are you playing adventure game then if you dont want listen to story ,experience the adventure . But whatever suits you

If your talking about typical mc story then you can put genshin in it too, what made this game unique was the echo system and combat style which was unique for a gacha game
I like this music because, TO ME, it doesn’t feel like a post world design soundtrack, it feels more ambient, as other well design tracks tend to take my focus out of the game and on the music. Combat is best in class for gacha games, sure some jrpg, mmo, arpg games have fantastic combat, but they are not gacha games. At the end of the day, this is just an opinion piece, but I appreciate the comment boss!
As someone who plays FGO, which is a story based game, similar to a Visual Novel, have a f*cking SKIP button. And that game has a much better story than Genshin. And yet, Genshin had the audacity to remove the skip button, like their story is a masterpiece when it is "decent at best". Music in Genshin is good, that's for sure. But there are better.
"better" is a subjective term, a boring music to one person might be masterpiece to another or what one consider best music ever might be torture to someone, beside, you don't simply tell what music is better if you haven't listened enough outside of your current preferences, go play some rhythm games, once you know the names of a_hisa, sakuzyo, mamomo, euchaeta... you will understand how to truly enjoy music without the need for comparing which music is better to listen to
