It is so nice of you to offer people to take their horses. There are also a lot of places here in San Diego that are offering and in the surrounding areas between us all everyone should find a safe place. I know if I was evacuating a horse I would like it to go over to your place. They’re actually three different horse rescues within 15 minutes of me I live in San Diego but that’s just a few Hours away. Well I haven’t been seen too much. Is people offering to help with any large farm animals I think my daughter has offered on her website. Thank you again Alan I’m sure there are plenty of people who will need to take you up on it. It is nice to know that there are still good people in the world.

I loved Gold 66, he was a beautiful stallion and I would love to have one of his foals. Don't worry about the negative comments, some people forget that judging others is not their responsibility.
Even if the animals aren’t in the fire area, the smoke is damaging to their lungs. Our son is on a large cattle ranch in Wyoming. They had forest fires near their ranch for about two months this summer. He is losing calves every week and had necropsies done this week because the calves looked healthy. The calves had suffered extensive lung damage due to the smoke and the winter cold has been more than their weakened lungs could tolerate. So, prayers for all in the fire areas, whether they suffer actual fire damage or just have to live in the smoke.

Sadly, we will probably never know the total loss of domestic animals. I am in Cupertino next to San Jose right in the middle of Sillycon Valley. I too was unaware while i was running errands. Turned on NPR radio and it was a gut punch 😢 The Santa Ana winds are wild. 60 mph reported in one article I read! Bless you and I'm praying🙏 my heart out for all affected by these fires 🔥

As a former Cali resident from birth to 56 yrs old, my mom and stepdad lost their home in the Palisades fire, the Sunset fire was 1.5 mi from my sons home, and then the Kenneth fire began 6 blocks from my childhood home 🤦♀️. I have lived in North Idaho for 7 years now and I’ve watched your channel for 2-3 years…you do not need to apologize for making your videos about your life Alan, thank you for caring about those animals and people shows who you are. I saw the California fire devastation last night for the first time myself! One video had someone walking 3 horses out and they were surrounded by huge fires all around them.! I couldn't believe how calm their horses seemed to be! I pray they all were able to get to safety! God Bless you for trying to help💖
I watch several of the horse rescue sites and your the only one who offered to help. I lived in Clarkdale for 6 years and AZ has the same fire problem in wet years but to my knowledge don’t use goats as fire prevention

PS there is a large animal shelter at the Pomona fairgrounds right off of the 10 freeway. If that is no longer an option for people to keep their animals there longer term perhaps you could talk to some people over there.

You have a good heart. I admire you for offering help. I have been praying hard for California, North California, Israel, the Ukraine. When I lived in Naples, we had forest fires almost every year. The smoke from the fires is awful. One year we were close to evacuation and I didn’t have a livestock trailer. I don’t think that Canada and the US should merge, but they should keep being good neighbors.

There is an equestian center in LA offering to take in horses. If you really want to help, it should be easy enough to find out which center that is, call them and pass on your offer to them. If they are at capacity, they could pass on your contact info to those contacting them needing assistance with horse boarding.
I was watching a news broadcast showing people running leading horses at a trot down the hill trying to clear a huge stable. These were not our every day country horses. These were very expensive show animals.
I agree Alan, I don’t watch the news either, it is too hard to understand what is real and what isn’t. I also think there are lots of good things that happen in the world. Good kind people are still in the world.
Someone once wrote a paper about animal death after a major fire swept through a populated area in California. I no longer have that paper, but it was about all of the chard and injured wild and domestic animals that were found after the fires had been put out. Most probably parished from smoke insulation and didn't have to suffer from the actual burning of flesh. Nevertheless, they must have been panicking, not knowing what was going on. I pray that the fires currently burning will soon be put out and that there will be no more lives, both human and animal, hurt or killed.

In my opinion you could never be insensitive! We live on the border of Chatsworth and as of 11pm we’re safe right now. So far I heard 6 have died in the Eaton/Pasadena fire. 2 died in Malibu/Pacific Palisades fire. People are missing. Stay warm

SORRY but how much more water would need the area where your farm is located to have green pasture and avoid fires in neighbouring areas? Do you think that desalination water pipes would help the farms around from where you live or the farms and animals living in the areas who are almost regularly on fires?

It is the San Anna winds. They are hot dry winds that usually rage at a high velocity and no rain is the "perfect storm".

I heard about cars being abandoned in the fire. This blocked the firetrucks, so they had to have a bulldozer push the cars out of the way.
