Got a friend who got mass-reported and got a forced name change, they didn't let them even pick a name or give them any kind of ticket to pick a new one themselves. Even contacting support gave the middle finger. Name was fine for the entirety of base pso2 and well into ngs, still think they should let the player pick a new name.
The point was that they didn't get to choose a new name and had to pay if they wanted to pick a name themselves. I'll respect their privacy by not posting their name. I'll leave the judgement on if the name had to be changed to others.

A lot of people did when the first wave of bans went out during the "muh toxicity" campaign. That and the content issues are why the playercount is so low. When people who only ever spoke in private party/alliance chats away from others were banned without warning, stories were covered here on yt. That information alone kept thousands of players away. The others banned were bots, racists, etc. that actually deserved it.

How disconnected from their product can they be? It seems like they hired some horrible group of Tumblr/Twitter ppl to handle the community in this game. ERP is one thing, and largely harmless and even hilariously absurd at times, but they've basically got everyone afraid to talk or say anything remotely offensive/provocative/sexual in a game that has giant breasts with "enhanced" physics, pole dance and suggestive chair dance emotes, extremely revealing outfits (one of them is literally just soap suds) because a bad faith report means it will be construed as ERP. By their logic, you can't even describe the things you're seeing with your own eyes in the game without fear of repercussion. It's literally a "The emperor has no clothes" situation that they've created. I can only assume global is being managed by a completely separate global team/outsourced entity and not SEGA/Sonic Team in JP because the culture they're attempting to foster by what they list and enforce is clearly at odds with the very assuredly Japanese culture that created the game and the things contained within it, and is clearly just two absolute polar opposite philosophies clashing. It's insane. Oh and the example about trading: The game doesn't even have an option to trade. Even just finding your friends shop in personal shop(the game's Auction House system), requires so many work arounds and excessively grindy achievement unlocks from BOTH players that it's obviously not meant as a commonly used "feature." So who is trading in this game without trading? Also how do you steal anything in a game without trading? Even if the game had trading, their example would place the responsibility on the player not to agree to such a silly transfer. Seriously, whoever is in charge of this aspect of their PR, and their community guidelines and enforcement, needs to be educated on the game they're running by maybe playing it for a while to actually know what it contains, or maybe just replaced altogether. Nothing against Keroppi, good vid as always, but imo everyone should call this obvious complete disconnect out. With a decent community the game could survive despite the sparse content, but no content and continued hostile engagement with the players will guarantee this game just continues losing said players.

So I wanted to know if I could get banned for using something like this in the game, that is my question. If I take for example something more extremist: There is a sure chance I may get banned if I dress my character as that german rectangular moustache cancellor that caused WW2. I am pretty sure it will not be a banneable offence for "simply using" cosmetics provided by the game itself. The type of scenario that would normally play out is said items that may be sensitive or offensive, would be removed or changed in some way by the company.

Well rmt and cheating lowers their revenue, and players getting annoyed by abuse from other players or the like will be less likely to play pso2 which is again, causing them the issue you mentioned

I actually got banned from Nintendo Online in 2020 because my account got hacked and was used to buy $900 worth of Fortnite crap. My bank saw it and immediately charged back everything but Nintendo flagged it. Took me about 3 months to actually talk to someone at Nintendo and another month of just waiting for my account to go back online. In that time too, an update for Animal Crossing came out that completely locked me out of the game unless I signed in to Nintendo Online, which I couldn't do. Thankfully I was able to get my account back, but I had to actually call them and wait for a while. I don't think SEGA's support is anywhere near as dedicated.
SEGA could give trade back via an archivment. Clear all quests in Aelio, Retem, Kvaris. have at least 4 classes at max lvl. Trade is premium only again after this or for everyone who has cleared this has access to trade.

Ok. I'll be the one to say it as I'm watching and listening to the video. Banning ERP is so ironic considering the outfits and the lobby actions that I saw two others doing the other day. They literally give (even on the Japanese version) a huge amount of outfits and accessories that could probably turn the red light district in the shop area into a real red light district. Now I didn't really care about what I saw but from what it sounds like other people could be doing this in the lobby or something as harmless as the pole dance (again, sega gives it to us.. well to those of you that can save up the meseta to afford it from the player shops or actually buy it) while dressed for the part and someone else could see it as ERP and report it. I will however agree with any ban on symbol arts that are offensive or just plain throw genitalia in our face like people were doing on base and even on the Japanese version.

Real money exchange doesn't happen through trading. I was curious about it once while playing base and contacted a website. You put an item in the auction house and they buy it. No trading involved. Disabling trading isn't going to stop the business of bots.
My question is what about not wanting to party up or chat? Could that be reported? People are so rude that i just dont like doing either, party up nor chatting with anyone outside my alliance. Heck, even my alliance is sorta rude… so honestly, it worries me. And when i bring up my fears to others, they like “then dont play the game!” Or “you should play on a solo block!” Why the heck would i do either of those? I started looking up these videos today because I have over 900 hours into my account. I quit playing consistently a year ago and I would log in just once to check out what is new every few months. I haven't logged in since April 2nd and now today it said I'm suspended. I have no idea what I did besides talking in public chat a bit. I mean I did share a old sticker of Kirbys Butt but cmon it's Kirby. But when you said hacking, I believe that is probably what happened to me. I hope this whole process goes well and I did submit a ticket.
I have to say you do a great job making content about a game that we all want to succeed but keeps shooting itself in the foot. Keep doing what you do. Glad to see it. Trading needs to come back. Skins needs to come back. They need to take inspiration from something like Warframe or other games. But thats not the place for a rant.
For now kindly giving meseta to help a friend get something they want is seen as rmt and theft and against tos. One thing they can do to combat RMT is something similar to Lost Ark. Buy AC or SG with Meseta so the value of those currencies will be based on the player base

Love the game but SEGA being heavy handed on dumb things will just cause us to lose more players, which we can't survive.
Well rmt and cheating lowers their revenue, and players getting annoyed by abuse from other players or the like will be less likely to play pso2 which is again, causing them the issue you mentioned

I actually got banned from Nintendo Online in 2020 because my account got hacked and was used to buy $900 worth of Fortnite crap. My bank saw it and immediately charged back everything but Nintendo flagged it. Took me about 3 months to actually talk to someone at Nintendo and another month of just waiting for my account to go back online. In that time too, an update for Animal Crossing came out that completely locked me out of the game unless I signed in to Nintendo Online, which I couldn't do.
Thankfully I was able to get my account back, but I had to actually call them and wait for a while. I don't think SEGA's support is anywhere near as dedicated.
I actually got temporary banned myself, don't really know why, I'm new to PSO no toxicity?
TLDR TOS gives the company the right to do whatever they want to your account regardless of evidence.
A good way to get someone you don't like banned. Have an rmter buy their items. Works almost 100% of the time. Doesn't work with notable streamers.

SEGA could give trade back via an archivment. Clear all quests in Aelio, Retem, Kvaris. have at least 4 classes at max lvl. Trade is premium only again after this or for everyone who has cleared this has access to trade.
I barely have 2 classes at max level. I might just quit if someone made 4 classes a requirement.

I only started PSO2 for the Phantom class. Force/Ranger in NGS is barely enough to keep me playing as it is.

Ok. I'll be the one to say it as I'm watching and listening to the video. Banning ERP is so ironic considering the outfits and the lobby actions that I saw two others doing the other day. They literally give (even on the Japanese version) a huge amount of outfits and accessories that could probably turn the red light district in the shop area into a real red light district.
Now I didn't really care about what I saw but from what it sounds like other people could be doing this in the lobby or something as harmless as the pole dance (again, sega gives it to us.. well to those of you that can save up the meseta to afford it from the player shops or actually buy it) while dressed for the part and someone else could see it as ERP and report it. I will however agree with any ban on symbol arts that are offensive or just plain throw genitalia in our face like people were doing on base and even on the Japanese version.

Real money exchange doesn't happen through trading. I was curious about it once while playing base and contacted a website. You put an item in the auction house and they buy it. No trading involved. Disabling trading isn't going to stop the business of bots.

My question is what about not wanting to party up or chat? Could that be reported? People are so rude that i just dont like doing either, party up nor chatting with anyone outside my alliance. Heck, even my alliance is sorta rude… so honestly, it worries me. And when i bring up my fears to others, they like “then dont play the game!” Or “you should play on a solo block!”
Why the heck would i do either of those? I shouldnt be punished for spammed auto chat of a party or them talking bleep about stuff while i play?
I started looking up these videos today because I have over 900 hours into my account. I quit playing consistently a year ago and I would log in just once to check out what is new every few months. I haven't logged in since April 2nd and now today it said I'm suspended. I have no idea what I did besides talking in public chat a bit. I mean I did share a old sticker of Kirbys Butt but cmon it's Kirby. But when you said hacking, I believe that is probably what happened to me. I hope this whole process goes well and I did submit a ticket.
I have to say you do a great job making content about a game that we all want to succeed but keeps shooting itself in the foot. Keep doing what you do. Glad to see it. Trading needs to come back. Skins needs to come back. They need to take inspiration from something like Warframe or other games. But thats not the place for a rant.

For now kindly giving meseta to help a friend get something they want is seen as rmt and theft and against tos. I never expect to be paid back meseta when I give to my friend that I’ve known and voiced with since base, that doesnt fit into “arks etiquette” in my eyes yet plainly it somehow does in ngs vs base. If only there was a system too prevent rmt but also be pro kindness for the people that want to give, this happend to my brother on path of exile he gave his friend way too much items to boost him up just enough to be supportive and the gm said it got his friend banned under suspicion of rmt.

I appreciate what sega is trying to do in banning "bad eggs." However, I feel like the number of active players are too low for them to really be "pruning the branches" sort to speak. And I find it outright dumb that they're trying to be the "purity police" when it comes to ERP. It's an M rated game, we all should be adults here. People need to stop being prudes.

Here is game. You can only enjoy game if you walk tightrope of subjective rules open to interpretation. The caveman grammar is deliberate, I am part of a group of friends that great echother with colorful insults, we were all banned because of this, most people posing in the main towns are breaching that anti-horny rule and Sega cannot be bothered to put an anti spam on their chat that would chat-ban an rmt bot that spams the same thing 50 times in 2 minutes. And don't data mine our game so you can't tell that we are re-using 90%of base pso2 with a new coat of paint. Sry for the rant but I love this game and I hate seeing Sega run it into the ground.
