I can't believe that Chicken McNuggets were only introduced around 1981. It's just one of those food items that have been around as long as I can remember, so I assumed they were older than that. It's hard to believe I existed in a time when McNuggets were not around, regardless I was a baby/toddler, so I was not aware of them not being around.
The McDonald's menu prior to 1980 was extremely basic, very similar to something like In N Out Burger today. It wasn't until the 80's that you started seeing items introduced like McNuggets, Chicken Sandwich, McDLT, McRib, Salads etc.
"Almost three dollars for a burger, fries, and a shake." I made a rare stop at Burger King yesterday and a sourdough burger, French fries, and a milkshake cost $11.32. Never doing that again.
That's long time TV and film actor James Karen in the last partial commercial. He was the source of all the mayhem in Poltergeist. I remember Craig T. Nelson shouting at him "you moved the headstones, but you left the bodies!" near the end of the movie.
This volume's pretty great, considering we go from puppies in a Pepsi commercial to a dancing Brooke Shields (with a wig) in a Calvin Klein jeans commercial! The Calvin Klein ads were interesting in their own way, & I must say Brooke looked like she had a fun time doing them. Not to mention she looked cute in both of those ads.
About 37, Disney would offer edited for time versions since most of their live/mix action films would not fit into an 2 hr with commercials network block.
McDonald's Chicken McNuggets taste WAY Better back then and no, it's not made out of pink slime that was debunked years ago, it was made differently back then...

I remember when salads were the big new thing at fast food places.
I still think of the McNuggets as a fairly new thing oddly and I'm not crazy old.
80sCommercialVault it’s just seems odd that they advertised grown ups eating them when you know mostly kids always ate them lol
The beauty of women's bodybuilding. Now, that's something you don't see being aired on broadcast channels any more.

“Almost 3 dollars for a burger fries and shake!” In 2018 I’ll take it! Lol
The dog wash commercial killed me with cuteness!
I only have two words for the Pepsi commercial: Puppies! Squeeeee!
(yeah, normally, I'm all about cats, but I do love little puppies, too)

I used to have a personalized you did it spoon and bowl set that my mom ordered from Cheerios. 4:40
1:30 If she brought Harold and the kids it would cost as much as one person going out to McDonalds today.
That Arco Graphite commercial is narrated by Mike Road and all I can hear is Race Bannon trying to save me money on gasoline.
08:25 - a butler carrying a jug of wine with a handle on it??? Madness.....Barking, howling madness.
Loo. Chef Boyardee....so much healthier then fast food.
Has anyone seen Christie Brinkley lately? She looks fabulous. She must have a Great plastic surgeon.

Wine was looked to be so classy in the 70’s and 80’s , now it’s looked at as just another form of alcohol lol

Cross-breeding to achieve several favorable traits from different strains into one.

@5:48 these women wouldn't even qualify for fitness much less physique or bodybuilding now.
