That would be awesome on my stab for the uphills in town but i would probably get no real exercise if that was the case. 24" wheels look awesome on your bike too
Hey Knoxieman, I've included a link to this video in my blog, since it gave me a lot of inspirations for building my own bike. If you mind please give me a heads-up so I can delete it! Cheers
The stinky is a great bike, so smooth, this bike was pretty harsh it was much nicer and more fun when it had a hub motor in it though, it has a hub motor in it again.
More progressive throttle needed. Good job you took the phone out of his pocket. When he came off the back, he tried to hang on and accidently twisted the throttle, which made the wheel spin out sideways. Can you fit an adjustable amp regulator ?
Hi Top speed on this bike with the right gearing easily over 40mph, battery pack is only 8 AH usable but at lower speeds you could get maybe 10 miles on a charge. Not sure on price as its not mine, RC setups are not for the newbie e-biker IMHO they are fun though but can bite
Impressive looks good your using ca version 2.3 there if upgrade to 3.0 then use throttle thru can tame throttle so smoother rise in power even when throw throttle back at stall ca will smoothly raise throttle at 1v per sec and smooth out throttle Throttle Interface explained by example This explains sorry 3 years late
Man you need a helmet with that thing - far out. Hey I am thinking of the stinky too. It only comes in kids size these days right? I like the 24" rims for torque
Hi Cool vid I have Kona stab with a 500W hub motor in it and it is insane - nothing like this bike though thank goodness - wear a helmet and tone it down a bit man you could really hurt yourself on that thing.
You should buy this and follow this guide to build a new throttle that is optimized for RC esc. #1 Astro Flight servo tester #2 Dimention Engineering VHV BEC (Very High Voltage Battery Eliminator Circuit) #3 Magura twist grip E-throttle endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=12261 is your current throttle potentiometer based or hallsensor based? (the one i link to is potentiometer based and considered by many the best for e-bikes, should give you a linear throttle instead of "on/off throttle" By the way, do you think it would be possible to build in traction control for an e-bike? your machine is a highside machine, pretty dangerous (dont get me wrong im planning on building one myself with the CC 160 esc or the Hydra 240A 50v cc)
jonah mccraw Having better control doesn't make it go less fast ;) My bike has about the same power but if i push the throttle 30% it actually gives me 30% power. Below 20% its a little dodgy but the rest of my powerband is very accurate.
jonah mccraw Well all you need beefy battery and a high amp controller thats all. most motors can handle loads of amps in short bursts. But too much torque is pretty useless if you can't control it. Also there the range curve gets steeper by every amp. So 10 miles at 50amps and maybe only 2 miles at 100 amps. Not 5 miles like you would expect. More torque means more power loss at acceleration.
It's Flight of the Conchords meets E-bike. Great attitude, you guys are fun to watch.
Cheers Kim! yes needs a little tweak here and there, I am looking forward to another go once it is a little tamer
Never thought you could make a stinky even heavier, looks like I was wrong.

ha ha glad it made you chuckle!! he he the bike was stupid stupid powerful, grazetastic!
You guys should use a decent motor controller and maybe down the amps a bit :p
This is exactly why i rather use hubmotors ;)
I`m an amaturer on ebikes up to this, great bike, great vid
The stinky is a great bike, so smooth, this bike was pretty harsh it was much nicer and more fun when it had a hub motor in it though, it has a hub motor in it again.
weight on this bike isnt really a problem in fact it wasnt heavy at all compared to some ebikes, just brutal power
Mean bike that one mate great video tho u r right there.

If the rear suspension settings is soft, maybe adjust to a higher settings? Move some of the weight on the bottom side of the down tube?
hey mate can you link us to the build tread for that one, if you have one? otherwise is that a hv160+what motor?
Hi

hi, any videos of it at full speed .. 10 years later
Ha ha no it's all off the bike now and long long gone
Well done... ;-)
Best wishes from Bavaria / Germany!
Top notch work! What kind of motor are you using? I see you are using a Castle ESC for RC's. Is the motor a brushless RC motor as well?
Nice job guys
Thanks Carlton
Yes the bike was nuts...way too much power for a pushbike :-) he he fun though
Hi where did you get that kit, I'd love to try it on mine. Good thing Deec didn't break himself something on that try !
Wow, just wow! This bike is awesome!
What motor are you using?
you should use the RV-100 motor that I use.
Impressive looks good your using ca version 2.3 there if upgrade to 3.0 then use throttle thru can tame throttle so smoother rise in power even when throw throttle back at stall ca will smoothly raise throttle at 1v per sec and smooth out throttle

I LOVE THIS FUCKING VIDEO!
THE FALL WAS LOVELY...
MUCH RESPECT GOES OUT FROM HERE!!!
eres muy bueno tio, la caida eso le pasa a cualquiera se te ve buen tio, un saludo y haver si pones un tutorial de que piezas y tal
@DaZisProx nah.. this thing was mental, the throttle was on or off pretty unridable
cooool i want this stuff on my epic!!!
What sort of torque arm did you use?
Hi Cool vid I have Kona stab with a 500W hub motor in it and it is insane - nothing like this bike though thank goodness - wear a helmet and tone it down a bit man you could really hurt yourself on that thing.
what motor and gearbox did you use?
Get some wider bars mate, won't be so twitchy handling.
damn that is torquie
Needs gearing changed to get more top end
Have you got any specs on the motor you are using?
@password756 ? hahaha tell me what is it then!

6:50 : how are we going to get some more torque out of it hahah
he's not in a car mate and its uk
these guys do not know how to ride a bike ... but magnificent builders!!!!
stop those cigarettes and maybe you don't need an electric bike. :) good project though
Ohh rittee . Got same bike frameee tho haha ;)
Looks like you've never rode an e-bike, it takes some motorcycle skills to ride a fast e-bike
you from Banbury???
yes the chap who owns the bike is from London though.
Nice I thought it looked like banbury in the vid but can't put my finger on where although I won't try now I know lol respects
I was gonna ask if this was Banbury, but I cant remember what made me think it was ?
Hopefull building a GLF Ebike in Gloucesterhire soon.
he hit the ground like a sack of shit and all his mate did was 'oooooooooohhhhhh'
Looks over powered for the size tires it has.
Tire size is hardly the problem here. Just no throttle control what so ever.
FullFledged2010 i would want it to go like that, makes it more fun, there just too scared to go fast
jonah mccraw Having better control doesn't make it go less fast ;)

ha id love a bike with as much torque as i could get out of it, it would be fun as hell

fucking class ;}
Hmmm iv just got a cona lol
Ha ha go for a hub motor 👍
Epic Fail at 5:41
Want to sell it?
Jesus dont ever ride a dirtbike. You would flip off the back.
