Heck yeah! I would love to see Arnold at least make an appearance in the franchise he helped start. And as far as Glover he always gets lost in the Arnold/1st movie shadow but i though Part 2 was pretty dang good and so was he. It'd be awesome for them both to show up somehow since both were pretty much respected by the Yautja at the end of their respective films.
Most likely has to do with the fact that Stallone is one of his old friends vs. a movie studio that tries to shove him in a different direction than what he truly wants / comfortable with. Essentially making it equivalent to beer with the guys vs being audited by the IRS.

The concept of Dutch being a Predator clan leader would be so awesome, plus it makes sense. Kind of like how Mandalorians in the expanded Star Wars Universe were an amalgamation of the best hunters in the universe, but not restricted to their own race/species.
It's good that Dutch didn't come back as some kind of yautja leader. That character wouldn't work with them. He'd hate them for slaughtering his men. If anything, he'd become a hunter of them.

Dutch is the quintessential combat veteran who has been through the proverbial shit. The only people who would believe his story are those who are able to secretly collect intel on his "under the radar" mission. He's kind of like Kyle Reese in Terminator and Sarah Connor in the sequel.
The explosion at the end would have disintegrated the predator there would be no arm to get a computer reading. Also the electronics on the forearm would have been fried or completely gone. So no way this would had occurred

THAT would be awesome. Befitting of the story. That could be a movie in and of itself. Royce and Izzy making babies and having them tested against these creatures as they get older, an entire community of new spartans. At the end of the movie it becomes clan on clan warfare where the humans win and earn a spot as predators in their own right and they're given a ship and equipment to start their own hunts. The ending scene shows the human predator clan back on earth in a south American jungle, watching soldiers from the treetops in their chameleon suits. Then fade to black.
To me any cameo from one of the main protagonists from previous game could be great in this new film. But it would make me a bit happier if Harrigan or Woods appeared.

What you're suggesting here is exactly what I was suggesting. So no, I don't think it's stupid at all. I made a video showing all other connections between the series as well.
It's an aspect that needs to be addressed the why exactly T 800 series has that face. Which would have been nice if Terminator Genisys covered the reason for that particular face instead of the half-baked crap we got.
The Thereman Schwarzenegger never did a sequal to Twins. There was a film in 1994 starring both Devito and Schwarzenegger called "Junior" (I assume this is the film you are referring to) and it even had the same director as Twins (Ivan Reitman) but the characters are completely different. In Twins, Arnold plays Devito's twin brother Julius. In Junior, they are unrelated medical colleagues. Arnold's character name in Junior was Dr. Hesse (I think his first name was Alex, but I dont remember. That was a long time ago)

I think it would be cool if Arnold reprised his roll as Dutch in a movie where he leads a crack team of champions that have survived and killed other Predators. Getting the Champion from the other Predator movies, including AVP, Isabelle and Royce (Predators), McKenna(The Predator), Alexa(AVP) and Harrigan (Predator 2) had to assemble and fight against Super Predators and alongside Regular Predators.
Arnie admitted in his book that he was never at all interested in returning to the Predator franchise and I don't he has ever been a fan of the sequels. Predator was no doubt a film that was ahead of it's time such great characters, memorable one liners, great scenery, good story line and above all it gave us on of the most iconic villains of all time.
Door Dutch to be in the film the part has to be more than a cameo or a under 2 min appearance that doesn't move the film forward it instead it just plays to fanboys. Dutch has to kick some ass and I would love to see him take out a bad blood predator while in predator camoflogue then remove the bio mask and tell the characters who remain to get to the chopper while he trys to hold off the other predators or the government who are hunting them. It would probably be best if he was trying to stop the government from acquiring more predator tech because he could avoid any more contact with the predators so that he could live on while staying relevant to the story.
I always thought a cool Predator sequel would involve a Predator who comes to Earth to basically kidnap Dutch and force him to compete in some Inter-Galactic Gladiator event, where all these life forms come to compete, representing their home planet, with Dutch representing Earth. This time, Dutch saves the Predator competing, and ends up teaming up with him in order to escape.
I've read somewhere that the name Hyperdyne was changed from Cyberdyne at some point when the script was made. I don't remember the reason though, but the link between the Terminator universe and Alien/Predator universes was originally obvious in the Alien movie scripts.
I'm a big fan of Dutch becoming a Cyborg, fighting off several Predators and Aliens before the inevitable singularity event where Skynet becomes self-aware and kills everyone. Dutch then becoming the model for the T-800.
In Predators Isabelle mentions Dutch and his squad to the remaining survivors. Saying it hunted and killed his men and he was able to beat it by hiding his body heat with mud. He gave a detailed description of the alien and it matched what we saw chained up in the hunters camp. In Predator 2 they mention Dutch and his squad. They make no mention of it in AVP or AVP Requiem.

It demanded a lot physical activity from him, the jungle condition was too harsh, too humid and he didn’t enjoy filming there. I also read that Sonny Landham was a crazy guy and hard to work with. The studio had to hire bodyguards to protect the actors from him!

I don't see the predators as being one to accept humans into their inner circles.
I would have loved to see Arnold Schwarzenegger reprise his role as Dutch Schaeffer 🙂. But i still enjoyed Predator 2 and Predators.
So pretty much every movie that had a predator in it was supposed to have a Dutch cameo but Arnold refused

@@bigtravis6159 Because the followups, with the possible exception of 2, strayed so far from the original, that Arnold probably didn't want any part of it. Arnold can pick and choose what he wants to do and has been able to do so for a long time
They should do a cameo of Arnold and Glover.. Telling Royce and Isabelle. They gave you this planet as a reward for surviving... Then they produce offspring of the greatest human hunters...
THAT would be awesome. Befitting of the story. That could be a movie in and of itself. Royce and Izzy making babies and having them tested against these creatures as they get older, an entire community of new spartans. At the end of the movie it becomes clan on clan warfare where the humans win and earn a spot as predators in their own right and they're given a ship and equipment to start their own hunts. The ending scene shows the human predator clan back on earth in a south American jungle, watching soldiers from the treetops in their chameleon suits. Then fade to black.
To me any cameo from one of the main protagonists from previous game could be great in this new film.
But it would make me a bit happier if Harrigan or Woods appeared.

If the Predator and Terminator franchises were connected, I’d love to think that Skynet modelled their T-800 organic outside after one of the greatest warriors in human history: Dutch. This could be for intimidation or as a symbol of how deadly and ferocious the T-800 is

What you're suggesting here is exactly what I was suggesting. So no, I don't think it's stupid at all. I made a video showing all other connections between the series as well.

It's an aspect that needs to be addressed the why exactly T 800 series has that face. Which would have been nice if Terminator Genisys covered the reason for that particular face instead of the half-baked crap we got.

The Thereman Schwarzenegger never did a sequal to Twins. There was a film in 1994 starring both Devito and Schwarzenegger called "Junior" (I assume this is the film you are referring to) and it even had the same director as Twins (Ivan Reitman) but the characters are completely different. In Twins, Arnold plays Devito's twin brother Julius. In Junior, they are unrelated medical colleagues. Arnold's character name in Junior was Dr. Hesse (I think his first name was Alex, but I dont remember. That was a long time ago)

They did, not sure which movie specifically, but they did mention his incident and being one of 2 only survivors "in a South American jungle."

Answers in my opinion all questions as to what happened to dutch. The book turns out very well and answers alot of questions i had about the movies.
I think it would be cool if Arnold reprised his roll as Dutch in a movie where he leads a crack team of champions that have survived and killed other Predators. Getting the Champion from the other Predator movies, including AVP, Isabelle and Royce (Predators), McKenna(The Predator), Alexa(AVP) and Harrigan (Predator 2) had to assemble and fight against Super Predators and alongside Regular Predators.
Thatd be really cool if Arnie had some sort of cameo in The Predator.
Arnie admitted in his book that he was never at all interested in returning to the Predator franchise and I don't he has ever been a fan of the sequels.
Predator was no doubt a film that was ahead of it's time such great characters, memorable one liners, great scenery, good story line and above all it gave us on of the most iconic villains of all time.
Dutch got an honorable mention in the *Predators (2010)* movie, starring Adrian Brody. Highly recommend watching it. :D
Door Dutch to be in the film the part has to be more than a cameo or a under 2 min appearance that doesn't move the film forward it instead it just plays to fanboys. Dutch has to kick some ass and I would love to see him take out a bad blood predator while in predator camoflogue then remove the bio mask and tell the characters who remain to get to the chopper while he trys to hold off the other predators or the government who are hunting them. It would probably be best if he was trying to stop the government from acquiring more predator tech because he could avoid any more contact with the predators so that he could live on while staying relevant to the story.
I always thought a cool Predator sequel would involve a Predator who comes to Earth to basically kidnap Dutch and force him to compete in some Inter-Galactic Gladiator event, where all these life forms come to compete, representing their home planet, with Dutch representing Earth. This time, Dutch saves the Predator competing, and ends up teaming up with him in order to escape.
I've read somewhere that the name Hyperdyne was changed from Cyberdyne at some point when the script was made. I don't remember the reason though, but the link between the Terminator universe and Alien/Predator universes was originally obvious in the Alien movie scripts.
I'm a big fan of Dutch becoming a Cyborg, fighting off several Predators and Aliens before the inevitable singularity event where Skynet becomes self-aware and kills everyone. Dutch then becoming the model for the T-800.

In Predators Isabelle mentions Dutch and his squad to the remaining survivors. Saying it hunted and killed his men and he was able to beat it by hiding his body heat with mud. He gave a detailed description of the alien and it matched what we saw chained up in the hunters camp. In Predator 2 they mention Dutch and his squad. They make no mention of it in AVP or AVP Requiem.

Honestly, at the end of 'The Predator' when they mentioned "The Predator Killer", I half expected Arnold to come out of that pod.

Winter Gersy but Royce and Harrigan were actually prepared to take it on and knew about it. Dutch was basically just fighting sth he didn’t know shit about except that it had killed his men and couldn’t see him when he covered himself in mud. That’s why his story is more exceptional

In an interview with Arnold he confessed that Predator was the hardest movie he ever acted in. It demanded a lot physical activity from him, the jungle condition was too harsh, too humid and he didn’t enjoy filming there. I also read that Sonny Landham was a crazy guy and hard to work with. The studio had to hire bodyguards to protect the actors from him!

i think the reason arnie doesn't want to be in any other movies is cause of how terrible they've become since predator and predator 2 (the only decent movie after P1 And 2 imo was predators)

I never even thought Dutch should be a character in other Predator-movies. So it doesn't really bother me. For all I know he probably ended up KIA somewhere soon after the film .

Well according to Capcom's Beatem up Aliens versus predator - Dutch upgrades himself to have cyborg body parts and a machine gun built into his Cyborg fist and he goes punching yes PUNCHING aliens to death alongside two preds and one Lt Kurosawa who uses a Katana to slice up the aliens at acid spraying distances lol
