- It was a November blizzard for the record books in North Dakota as two feet of snow buried parts of Bismarck!
(AP) The first winter storm of the season to blast off from the Rockies is unloading its energy primarily in North Dakota, where it could dump up to 18 inches of snow and kick up winds as high as 50 mph.
The system started with a round of freezing drizzle that made driving tricky in the Dakotas.
It led to a chain reaction crash that totaled a state trooper’s vehicle and closed Interstate 94 in eastern North Dakota for several hours Wednesday night and shut down I-29 in eastern North Dakota on Thursday morning.
Both interstates have reopened but travel is expected to become nearly impossible in some stretches due to whiteout conditions.

When I lived up North...I used to get psyched when weather like this was predicted. I made sure I had plenty of food in the house, propane in the tank for heat, wood for the wood stove, etc. I would get the snow blower ready to go, then sit back and wait for it to come. I did have to work out in it from time to time..but I loved it. The power of Mother Nature is amazing.
And where do you live now Florida? 😅
Why do idiots try to drive in two feet of snow?
Because they are idiots .
North Dakota doesn’t stop for snow. People still have to go to work
Yikes and this is just November
I know global warming is a bitch right LOL
I really like those plows.
I know this video is about snowfall in North Dakota and unrelated comment about Red Mountain Pass, Colorado I made here was just show a extreme physical features of driving that highway with snowfall or blizzard. A newspaper article that was put on Google by The Durango Herald called the "Highway to Hell" shows in pictures, the history, and the danger of crossing this mountain pass highway. The pictures are NOT photoshopped.
You guys do realize that snow has come to North America for the last 600 million years right? It wasn't made up yesterday
What ?! When did this start? How? Why?
NO NO NO ! It's CLIMATE CHANGE you unscientific type non-believer !
We can still enjoy it!
Oh, the humanity of it all. Climate Crisis... Climate Crisis..... LOL 😂.

Okay if you are a whimpy, complainer, a whoosie, etc, if you ATTEMPT to drive across Red Mountain Pass, Colorado in winter you maybe best to have one to three Depends Diapers on yourself. Because you'll likely need driving across the most dangerous paved mountain pass in all of Canada and the United States combined. Hardly any GUARDRAILS in this 26 mile mountain pass highway. Highest avalanche paths per mile in these two countries. Rock slides and mud slides happen. Going off the highway south of Ouray(pronounced U-ray) it drops off 800 to some folks say 1,000 FEET down at as much 65-70 angle downward. Will this be on your "bucket list" driving across this mountain pass highway in a snowstorm? I never been there other on RUclips videos of that southwestern Colorado area. However I have driven across Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico all in winter months.
Living in the northern regions is not for the week of heart that's for sure 😬👍
nic nice
