Why is it almost impossible aside from a CT angiogram view health of your arteries. You just get ECGs and Echos which cant tell you for sure. In this day and age and heart attacks surely people need to get tested way more not just when they are about to die!

I'm at 26 and I've been having issues for almost 2 years now and they started me as acid reflux and asthma. I ended up in the ER less than 2 months ago and admitted to the cardiac unit for a week and my cardiologist still doesn't believe me because I'm only 26. I'm in search for a new one now... Terrifying to be on the edge of death and no one will believe you bc you're young...

I have been facing the same issue for the past 3 months. I am 28 I’ve been to the ER twice, visited a Cardiologist and 2 GP’S they don’t believe me because I’m young. It just makes you feel helpless and frustrated when they don’t listen. They just do an EKG and say I’m all okay.

@fluffytail6355 you're right---never! I'm sorry you had to go through that terrible experience. I read some of these stories where doctors downplay symptoms, and the patients are the ones to pay the price--and all too often with devastating consequences . I hope you are on a healthy path now

My partner ignored the symptoms, thought he needed to rest and would see a doctor in a day or so. I was on the phone from the UK and tried to persuade him to go to the ER. He went into cardiac arrest later day, and died walking to his car in NYC. He left behind a number of heartbroken people.
