I see the consumerism without an output pointless in it’s essence. Well, being a producer slave to the chains of marketing and global agenda of advertising to sell you more and more is also pointless. I am a teacher, I change people, worldviews based on what I consume. The ever changing shape of ideas of my students is my painting, but I have few control about the output, so many causes interfere in the final output. I like the idea of “changers” rather than producers. Using linguistics we know your outcome, your product will be assimilated in many ways. The message isn’t close to the ideas of the producer. All we do is mix our views to what we listen. We interpret everything in our way according to our worldview or mindset. That being said I classify in 3 kinds of people. Predominant consumer, predominant producer, predominant social shifter (changers)
I like the idea of seeing teaching as a form of art, where you paint students' minds. But of course, very challenging how you have only very limited control over the final output. I also like the idea of "changing" more than "producing", which has more of an industrial flavour to it. Seems like whatever we do will change something, if only ourselves in a very limited way.
I can admit his articulation is pretty good. he looks as though he lacks life experience though -- I have little life experience as well --. You have to be a consumer before you have to be a producer in his terms. His videos to me are only good for making people see language differently. people who haven't had the experience of seeing people carve terminologies. I feel like if he give commentary on propaganda in Western media his channel would be more meaningful. learning lessons of History essentially or directing his Focus onto others that have totally different lives. I appreciate this critical perspective on what I'm doing. Helps me see it from a different angle. Propaganda and media influence are huge. Now that so much of our lives happens on screen, we are interacting with the world through filters established by corporate and state interests. On the other hand, I'm also skeptical of "alternative" sources claiming to break through the propaganda and deliver "the truth". I believe we all have to find our own way through the maze of stories being sold to us. I don't have the solution, but I find I keep coming back to simple living grounded in nature as the way forward.
@@QuestforaMeaningfulLife Hey! I stumbled upon your channel a couple of days ago and I love your views on life and they way you word your message. Why did you stop creating videos?
@@oesyps3 Thank you! I tapered off my videos because felt like I had run out of things to say. But I do sometimes think of coming back in a new form. Thanks for your words of encouragement.
