Paul Gascoigne is actually from Gateshead and not from Newcastle...so, he's not even a Geordie....it was Newcastle (not Gateshead) that stayed loyal to King George 2nd during the Jacobite Rebellion of 1745.......and therefore only people from Newcastle can lay claim to the title of being one of Geordie's ( as King Georg was popularly known) men.....i.e. a Geordie....just putting the record straight....

Despite being a joker, when he was committed to something he gave 100% and consequently got really down when things didn’t work out.
