I think her statement was very appropriate. You may not get along with someone all of the time, or at all, but that doesn’t mean Alyssa ever wanted to see Shannen go through such suffering. I’m sure Alyssa is feeling a sadness too. Had she not put out a statement…. People would be attacking her.

Her statement was nice. And as far as what went down 20 years ago, at that time, EVERYONE had a different story about that, naming Shannon as the aggressor. She was also fired from 90210, and everyone on that show had shit to say about her antics there too. Why was she fired from both shows? Sorry Perez I disagree with you on this one. Alyssa should have kept quiet, she didn't make peace with Shannon while she was alive so she should have said nothing. You say Charmed was years ago, your right it was but Shannon only recently talked about it on her podcast with Holly and who Alyssa was sleeping with at the time used her influence to moan about Shannon and made it a Shannon or her situation. Yes it was a lot of years ago but a 2nd firing after her firing from 90210 gave Shannon a bad reputation and limited her ability to work that lasted for the rest of her career. Holly her costar in Charmed confirmed all that Alyssa did to get Shannon fired and Alyssa's general bad behaviour at the time.

No, Shannen didn’t forgive her. She read her thoughts to us all. It hurt Shay to the core. She loved that show and she was dabbling with directing. I was a fan of Alyssa. But Shannen was my fav and Alyssa wanted to be #1 on the call sheet. So no Shay did not forgive her regardless if it was over 20 years ago. Her dad was sick and she had a family to take care of. Alyssa threatened to sue and also gave an ultimatum

I think it would have been received much better if she had waited a bit and made it very brief. Because it was posted before almost every other co-star from 90210 and Charmed, it seemed inappropriate. I think it would have also served Alyssa better if she had kept it to a few brief lines. My guy, is not about getting someone fired, although that's beyond low, but what's behind it : the defamatory allegations level against her, which in turned had her black listed, Alyssa singlehandedly, by means of manipulation and lies, blackballed her.
SD had to spent her last remaining years on this earth fighting to get divorced and getting spousal support, she died broke basically, fighting for her life.

I think once she started acting like Ms Politics and ignoring judge’s order in courtroom she lost credibility with me. Actress, she is great. As a person, I think she sees now as an opportunity to be in the news. If she is sincere, I believe I personally wouldn’t have the gall to make it public because of everything. She thinks she is above others, she has proven as a spectator in a court room. Unless she is running for an office, pretty much ALL Hollywood or with some HolierWood, I rather not have your political opinions. I want to like or love you for being so darn entertaining.
At least politically, you have to give her credit for going after the Left and the Right, not just one side. She's an activist, who happens to be a celebrity...there are so many of those; and some are more active than others.

Anyone telling Milano to be quiet is to say she was complicit in the firing of Doherty from 'Charmed'; which she wasn't. No actor is more powerful than a studio, which ultimately made the decision on Doherty's exit. Plain and simple.

Lol did you miss Shannon's and Holly's podcast about this and who Alyssa was sleeping with at the time, how she kept complaining about Shannon over nothing, used her relationship with who she was sleeping with to put added pressure and told them it's her or Shannon and got Shannon fired. @@_Sarby1 I fully understand in what you're saying. And I'm not excusing Milano for her actions. At the time, Milano was getting a ton more fan mail than the rest of the cast combined. And if she was sleeping with someone who was influential in the firing of Doherty, that's really nasty and unfortunate. But ultimately, the studio did make the choice/decision. The studio must have felt that Doherty wasn't the key element making the show popular, or they would've pressured the cast to mend fences, at least in its publicity optics.
Always remember, this studio (UPN/CW/WB) has always been heinous on how they treat their shows and talent. Their management sucked!

I thought it was a lovely condolence statement from A.M My take on this whole feud thing, every working person out there will have a toxic working environment at least once, as well as co-workers that you won't get along with. That's life. You're there to work, do a good job, leave your personal b.s. out of the workplace and collect a paycheck. I feel badly for the crew, other actors, and guest actors who had to endure that 'toxic environment'. Everyone seems to have forgotten them in this feud.

Well....she was kind of screwed either way.
I think the timing of her statement as well as how she wrote it left a bad taste in some people's mouth.
Obviously so many know about their fall-out from their days on Charmed and how their relationship and connection never recovered after Shannen left the show.
That Ayssla was one of the very first celebrities to make a statement of condolences may have not sat right with people given their recent public issues.
I believe if she had just offered her sympathy and not felt the need to have to bring attention to the problems they were having it might have gone over a little better and also if she had rush to make her comment and be one of the first when she wasn't a friend or ally of Shannen's then it can look to come across as insincere.
It's was one of those situations where she was never going to get it right for many regardless of how she handled it because of in some people's eyes, she hasn't taken true ownership of her part in Shannen being made to leave Charmed particularly as even now, I have read a comment from someone claiming to have work on that show are Shannen was gone and in the aftermath on being on the set, the person claimed Aylssa was very giddy and not showing any kind of sorrow regarding Shannen's exit.
At least Shannen resolve many of the issues she had with Tori and Jennie abour their time on BH90210 so their condolences will come across more sincerely.
You understand that people make press statements when the press COMES TO THEM, right? She didn't write a press release or even make a social post. We are all human at the end and as human beings its in our nature to sometimes make things complicated around us for many reasons. I believe they were both going through a intense phase back then... But the passing of time makes us grow and both of them did. I feel like back when charmed was produced they must have felt unssufferable equally on set as they both had strong personalities and had been in the industry since they were quite young. But I sincerely think they ended up being a better more mature version of themselves. I am very sorry for Shannens passing, specially at such a young age and having lost her battle with Cancer. This is always terrible to digest, and I think Alyssa shared her heartfelt sentiment with the best of intentions. Thanks for sharing, Perez ❤

It’s was never about her being fired. It was that Shannen vehemently stood firm in her assertion, over the course of many years, that Alyssa made Shannen’s experience on Charmed uncomfortable, conspired against her, and ultimately resulted in having her fired. However, Alyssa always claimed that these were all false allegations.
Perez, please stay in your crummy apartment, and work on being a better parent, all while teaching them about empathy. And please stop getting even more blacklisted from Hollywood. This is probably why Andy Cohen still doesn’t like you.

She could've said sorry to Shannon when Shannon was alive, I think the gas-lighting and dis-acknowledgement is what pisses off most people. I'm gen z I didn't even grow up with them and neither did I even know about them until the reboot but following up on the story I think it's the fact that she did not apologize or acknowledge the hurt straight forward that makes the girls upset and triggers the rest of us. It does not matter if it's five minutes or a million years ago, that will still sting.
