🔴 TRANSISTOR - Part 1 | Construction and Working | Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT) | in HINDI

  • In this Physics (electronics) video in Hindi for class 12 we explained the construction and the working of transistors. These work as digital switch and amplifier. We talked about its types at first. Basically transistors are of two types viz., Bipolar Junction Transistor and Field Effect Transistor. This video will be oriented around BJT. This type of transistor is of two kinds, namely, n-p-n and p-n-p transistors. When p type semiconductor is sandwitched between two layers of n type, it is called n-p-n transistor. Tese kind of transistors have three main segment - emitter, collector and base. Base is very thin, whereas emitter is wide and collector is wider. Doping levels are also different. The base is very lightly doped, the emitter is very highly doped and the collector is moderately doped. The basic functioning of the transistor as switch is due to the fact that when we provide base current, then only emitter current is seen. Hence we can say that the base current works as switch. And one more fact is that the emitter current is many times the base current and due to this fact we can amplify signals with the help of transistors. To understand the physics behind these facts you need to watch the video.
Modern day electronics revolve around digital circuits and those are possible due to the existance of transistors. As you know your computer, mobile phones are possible due to integrated circuits and integrated circuits are made of logic gates and these logic gates are comprised of transistors, you can understand how important is the role of transistors in modern day electronics.

Tried to study this through unacademy channel, couldn't understand much because teacher didn't even know what he was talking about. After watching this, all my doubts have been quenched. I was wondering why the base needed to be lightly doped, why it was thin, and why didn't collector e- went to battery terminal. 👍👍 Good job sir!
