When we connect 2 pn junction diode. The device form is called transistor . Transistor eg: pnp , npn.(BJT) Pnp - when 2 n type semiconductor sandwiched between 2 ptype semiconductor. Npn - same., have high efficiency Then pnp bcz in npn in n type semiconductor the majority charge carriers are e nd in ptype they are holes, therefore e have high mobility then holes . Hence current ka flow zyada hoga. That's why it have high efficiency. Collector ka size sbse bada hota h E , B se bhi kyunki usse collect krne hote h e. 2) Emitter junction - jb forward biased hota h tabhi transistor active hota h..( B+, E -) Current flow from base to emitter. 3) base se collector m current nhi jayega. Kyunki collector junction reverse biased h.
Sir you said in np+np diffusion happen. But in also npn btw n&p e-hole diffusion happen. Then what is the difference what makes npn possible transistor not npnp
