I just used this technique and it worked instantly. In the video he says that you may have to do it for a week or two but it has already provided substantial relief. To all you criticizers please try what he is suggesting before you write a negative comment. Nice work Dr. Berg!
Whenever you’re in pain, Dr. Eric Berg is always there with a video for the right diagnosis, and relieving you off the pain with the right course of action. Thank you so much :)
Oh my gosh! I just tried this! I haven't been able to even walk around the house without pain. I found the spot, went the other foot and about jumped out of my chair! I massaged it until it didn't hurt. Now I can walk without pain! Phenomenal! I'll keep doing this. Maybe I can return to my daily walks. Thank you Dr Berg!

I didn't realize you handled foot problems ! I have had a tough time with my feet for several months.Your technique works. I will continue to practice this.
Extreme pain in my left foot. Could not walk for two weeks. Tried this tonight. It feels less pain & I can now wiggle my toes. Will start off at top of foot and worker harder and lower each day. Too scared to put pressure on my bad foot right now. Going to do this treatment for a couple of days before I walk. Thanks for this post. I’ll update it in a few days
Dr Berg you did it again! I never ever had heard of this condition. After suffering all day….i finally found your video on Morton‘s neuroma. And the exercise to do on the opposite leg what a difference. Thank you for knowing how to relieve the pain. Now will look for a more recent video on this condition.
Amazing it’s gone in about 3 min 40 sec! Can’t believe it! About 6 month ago I kicked into the leg of the furniture accidentally with no shoes on. I thought I broke it I was in agony. . Thank You Dr Berg so much❤️❤️❤️
Very valuable info. ......far better than pain killers & painful surgeries. I learned so many new things on this channel , which hitherto were not known to an ordinary person. Thanks Dr.Berg.

So grateful to see this video/info. I watch many of Dr. Bergs videos. I received 3 laser treatments(non invasive and gentle massage)…on my left foot(neuroma). I massaged the right foot same spot and sure enuf…..it was hurting there. So I will keep doing this daily. So once again, Thks Dr. Berg!
I'm so excited to do this! The last thing I want is surgery but I've been seriously considering it. I will do this daily and come back. Thank you! QUESTION......what would you suggest for runners. Since this occurred I haven't run and am afraid to cause further injury. Would love to hear your advice and I know it's just advice :)
Hi, I am a runner, and I started wearing a "toe spacer between 3rd and 4th toe. It works wonders, and it will help prevent the nerve from getting pinched while running. Now I can run without getting any numbness, but sometimes I have flare ups, then I need to cutback on running. When I get home from a run, I put ice on the neuroma, and then I wear toe stretchers that fit on the whole foot. Amazon has tons of options for toe spacers. You could also try a foam ear plug or piece of cotton between 3rd/4th toe, but it might move around.
You are so smart!!! Love seeing your videos every single day! Every one of them is actually something I've been wondering about and never asked the dr. Thank you so much!!!!
This video seems so much like a farce! Massaging 1 foot rather than the affected foot is like trying to use will power to stop diarrhea!!! Once you have a neuroma...the odds it's going to "go away" are almost nil. They are extremely difficult to treat. Prop er fitting shoes I believe are a MUST. I wore shoes that were too narrow & started having foot problems. Diagnosed with neuroma. Tried P.T., massage, foot pads, steroid injections & everything else I could think of as I wanted to avoid surgery. Nothing worked because the neuroma was probably from the tight fitting shoes. After a year of treatments & another 6 months of research I realized surgery was the last resort if I ever wanted a chance to walk & do so without pain. I had the surgery & it took 3-4 months to fully heel. My foot is better & I make sure I wear shoes with a nice wide toe box. People need to do their research! Yes...do alternative treatments but if you're still in pain...don't do this "MIND OVER MATTER B.S.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr Berg best ever information on neuroma. Appreciated the walk through diagram to show how to massage on the other 🦶 It’s now 12 days since I woke up with neuroma….with massage and oils I’m now wearing 👟for 4 days. Still painful but able to get around then I rest. Elevating and massaging and compression (by wrapping it) has improved. Thank you Dr Berg
Hi Doc, Reading comments, I came across someone asking ''Why are you right?'' it made me laugh and realize, that is the best question for Drs. I have heard your story of how you healed yourself by learning why you were ill then creating healing strategies, change the cause change the effect. I have enormous respect for you and the way you share your knowledge with us. These days, I am finding changing to be impossible. Although throughout my life I've made huge life decision and major changes with diet and addictions, then suddenly, I am overcome with a complacent attitude as in knowing this info in your video could work for both feet are painfully affected but I won't do it. I think I got old the other day and stuck. Can you help me get out of the weeds? Thanks
Unbelievable! Although I did not have pain in the exact same place as this example, I still tried the remedy of using the opposite foot to massage the painful area. OMG, Dr. Berg, your advice helped heal plantar fasciitis years ago and here I am, again! Sir your remedy worked! I can’t say Thank you enough!🙏🏻
I developed a pain to what looked to me like neuroma on right foot that had old injury, although a mirror image pain I also felt to a lesser degree on my left foot. That was after excersizing bare footed aggressively indoor my house. After researching I had the following plan : 1) Stopped walking bare footed 2) Had frequent foot cold water showers 3) Managged to shed 5kg from my weight since my aggressive excersizing was any way for reducing a weight that I was seeing going north without any sign of stopping 4) Increased my attention to Vitamins D and B1. After more than 4 months passed now and I have seen gradual improvements until I am starting to forget having a foot pain from the start.
I've had pain in the top of my left foot off and on for eighteen years. It was throbbing tonight so I happened across this video. I'm massaging the top of my right foot right now.
Mine was a bit tricky because I oddly had bilateral Mortons neuromas diagnosed at the same time and had to rely on pain meds and footwear change, Epsom salt soaks and extremely painful foot massages to stretch the metatarsals gently apart. I have crushed a vertebra in my back, had a tib/ fib, burst meniscus and torn knee ligament and cracked pelvis/sacrum ( at the same time from an impact by a vehicle as a pedestrian) and those two Mortons neuromas were worse somehow. Very excruciating. But it slowly improved over months and no huge issues currently.
I had tapped my sore foot last night....tape still on and tried this....not much...took take off, and an applying pressure with opposite foot with a hard rubber hand ball...and it took the pain away for a little bit....then the pain transferred to the top of foot....then backed off....so hopeful that I can keep working the opposing foot to help. Thank you...it was getting worse. I had an idiopathic onset 2 weeks ago....
I’ve got this problem. Due to breaking my foot last year. I. had a blind steroid injection and then another one under ultrasound and sure enough a Morton’s neuroma was found. It’s a very painful condition. I’ve been told the next step is surgery. You can also get this condition wearing high heel shoes , as the toes get squeezed together.
Dr. Berg I love your vediio"s I get so much knowledge from listening to you videos it's just like talking to a doctor but the doctor don't tell you everything that you need to know
Hi Dr. Berg. A big follower of yours for many months. Wondering if you have any thoughts to add on Eczema, or if you can consider making a video on it. My wife has been fighting the condition for a long time and there is no sign of seeing it improving. Thank you for the continuous videos I'm learning a lot.
Cortisone 10 ointment only, not cream. Shower, apply while skin moist. Add d3, 1000 slowly increase to above 5000. Also take vit A, 10000 per day, no more.
Dr Berg ~ thank you! "Middle toe pain Dr Berg" search... and you answer.😮 true 🎉 old injury on the opposite foot where it hurts 😅. Let's get started. Thank you?
My absolute favorite on RUclips! Love Dr. Berg…. Lost 10 pounds going on his keto program mostly for inflammation and bonus! Weight loss..tons of energy! I buy his supplements on Amazon.. high quality and good price. And he always does it with a great sense of humor!! What a guy!!
It’s early days however my pain was constant for several months yet went away within 24-48 hours after starting a keto diet and 2 weeks later is still pain free
@@FLHRFAN yeah that’s how it seems to be for me. My motivation to start keto was and is to shed some extra pounds and within a day or two my PF and or metatarsal pain melted away and 3 weeks later hasn’t returned. What I’ve also noticed is that when I stretch and rub my right foot 🦶 (which has always been pain free) it relaxes my left foot which is my painful foot 🦶. Something to do with nerves and messages to the opposite foot 🦶. I saw this on one of Dr Berg’s videos and came across by chance as I was looking at his keto channels which I think is his expertise area. It worked for me so far. I’ll post an update in a month or so just Incase it returns. Having said that I had constant pain and burning sensation etc for several months without respite so I’m fairly confident so far
Just tried it. I got some tingling, but the pain is still there. I will continue to do this and see if it’ll eventually work. It makes sense since the nerves are all connected. I do wonder if it just tricks your brain into not feeling the pain anymore or actually cures it
This really works. Trust me. Thank you so much. I was in so much pain. Had my son do it on my left foot because the pain was on my right. Pain was gone within 15 minutes
I'm going to send this to my friend. She is suffering tremendously and is headed to Massachusetts (from Florida) to see a specialist . Let's see what happens.
I've actually had two of these, caused by wearing shoes w/ pointed toes. My choice of treatment was to get acupuncture and have massage therapy on that foot.( The massage will create space for the nerve) and of course change your type of shoes. It takes about 1 yr for the neuroma go away.
I'm gonna try this too. My plantar fascitis is acting up a little again but your techniques are the BEST! another thing that has helped me is slicing an onion and stick it inside your sock and sleep all night with the onion inside your sock. Yes it stinks but it took my swelling away and made my feet real soft.
~all things within the body are connected to make the body move~each nerve is reactive to be active to make the feeling alive with it~this technique works~I just did it and it did work~as like when you have a ligament problem~the source is not where the pain is but a little behind it~in doing so by massaging this you are lubing the ligaments so they become aligned instead of bulging up and causing the pain to enter the sheaths of the ligament~learned this from a pain in my lower neck as I felt the bulge from them bunching up~what a feeling I had when it was released as well as any other indications I had with other pain with muscle ligaments through out the body~problem with our body is we do not know how to use it properly since birth~we over extend it with "thoughts" that place it with accomplishing whatever task we are performing and get so involved with it as stress becomes a factor and then we are out of alignment with it~if we only were aligned from the get go as this is called balance we would not suffer entirely or at all from day one~but this is what happens to us as through life we over extend ourselves through stress and become out of align as we go along in our aging process~only if we knew how to use our bodies properly since day one is the key to a "successful" life as this is wealth in itself~thanks for this wonderful video Dr Berg~
Dom, you mentioned stress-I surmise you mean emotional/psychological stress. I'm currently studying the mind, body soul link and I am amazed by the information out there. It is fascinayiong. Treat the mind as well as the body!
~indeed Martina~we tend to put ourselves outside of the "box" when we already know the answers to who we are within~we portray a character that is not even us in shaping the world outside of ourselves but we do not shape what is inside of us that really needs the most attention~in ZEN* all is pointing back at us from the beginning~when you know of this then that "stress" does not exist no more because you have found what was never lost~we ave been conditioned for so long as believe in this conditioning is our life when it is not true self hence if we did know true self the "stress" would disappear because that is not true self from the get go~true self is through stillness and balance and in doing so it is through breathing correctly and that is accomplished in the meditative state~the veil of Maya the illusion no longer exists as Bodhidharma the founder of ZEN* seen of no value of what is outside of oneself but found that spirit which is always present and awakened~thank you for your reply~gassho~_/|\_~
related condition: Metatarsalgia: a feeling like you are walking with a pebble in your shoe(s) Likely just one foot is bothering you than the other. (and/or FEELS LIKE YOUR SOCK IS "BUNCHED UP" or puffy pad at ball of foot) Cause: Old shoes, probably wrong style when they were new. (or lack of exercise) Try walking on a rocky beach or rocky junkyard, concrete chunks etc (with shoes on)
Didn't know about this technique yet but the ONLY thing that cured my neuroma was switching to barefoot shoes. All other modern footwear is not foot shaped and was crushing my foot together. Quick test; take your shoe insole out and stand on it. If your toes hang off either or both sides the shoes are too narrow and you will develop problems later in life. If not a neuroma possibly bunions, weak feet, balance issues etc.
This technique did work pretty well - Thank You! However, neuroma still there and can flare at any time. So, at what point is Surgery inevitable? Thanks?
@drberg Please make a video about Plantar fibromas... I think I may have the beginning stage of this ... I searched your videos didn't see anything about this. I'm worried about it I heard it could get painful.
Hello Dr. Berg! Whenever I encounter a health issue, I always look at your tips in your RUclips video. Recently, I've been in pain with Morton's Neuroma and I'm going through hell. I don't see any tips on RUclips, which helps ease my foot pain. I spent a fair amount of money on cryotherapy, but it's not working. Please, I need your advice. Thank you.
Your video deals with the pain, but what treatment should I follow to reduce or eliminate the cause? Message, rest, ice, I have used a rubz ball and it seems to be getting worse.
Thank You 🤗. I have had nerve pain on my left foot for many years, I think from an old injury. It’s now in both feet. I now know why. Mine was on the top, now it’s my toes, bottom of feet. So, My question is.... will this technic work??? Again, Thank You Dr. very helpful to me
i was diagnosed with neuromas nearly 3 years ago. both feet. i don't have the trigger point pain you refer to but it feels very uncomfortable under my toes and on foot pads, especially without shoes on. Feels like a bunch of wadded up socks under the toes. The area on plantar foot pads and under toes has been steadily getting more numb. saw podiatry and neurology who have not helped. Had an EMG that did not point to much of anything the neurologist was concerned about. No clue why this is happening and what the prognosis is for the future. I am 72 and not entertaining surgery. My mom had one many decades ago (no longer alive) and she had unsuccessful surgery. Lots of pain. I go about my work, exercise routines and can walk as far as i want for exercise. Always have to wear shoes or foot pads hurt/ache. i always wear tennis shoes with wide toe box to give toes room. Sure would like some relief or healing strategies. thanks
Very Interesting! However, about 10 years ago I had surgery in my right foot to remove the neuroma. Now I have it in the exact point in my left foot. Any suggestions since the nerve has been removed in my right foot.
Oh, that's a good question! I have the same situation - the nerve in my right foot was clipped off. I wouldn't have thought of that, though! Still might try it - why not?
And I remember that I had stepped on the head of a nail out on the old deck years ago. Betcha that’s the original injury, and had tiny fracture on ball of foot years ago. My chiropractor says I need padded insoles. Boney feet! Thks Doc. 👏👏👏👏
Ok - well im screwed :-) ....i have neuromas in BOTH feet! But I found by accident myself a couple of novel approaches that do work. One trick that does work to relieve fascia and neuroma pain is - I use Heel Balm cream - i lather my sole of my foot with it at night, esp the balls of my feet as i have 3 neuromas on both feet and plantar fasciatis, wrap my foot in cling film, then a light bandage and sleep overnight with it on. I wasnt sure why this worked - but it was an idea i had and it worked. My theory is that the Heel Balm, also softens the fascia, probably even the outer layers just beneath the skin keeping flexibility, and reducing the dense pressure on the soft tissue under foot. Or the tissue which SHOULD be soft but has thickened. I will do this for several nights in a row. I also found long term anti-virals worked well too, as Im convinced my neuromas are a part of my life long struggle with herpes. It started with gladnular fever as a teenager, and 30 years later, ive lived with cluster headaches, sciatic pain, acute spinal pain not explained by my normal muscular skeletal dynamics/issues and strong fibro/CF. ALL of which went away with long term anti-virals. ANy hint of it returning, with an eye ache, or peripheral neuropathy pain...back on the anti-virals and i get a huge response. Thanyou for ALL of your fabulous videos!
@Dr. Berg I tried it and I can't find any tender/painful spots on my opposite foot anywhere. I am pressing so hard I cannot press any harder and there are no tender spots anywhere, let alone on the spot between my 2-3rd toes. Do I keep massaging even if there is no pain on the opposite foot? I massaged it for a few minutes and got up to walk again and still in excruciating pain on my left foot.
I just used this technique and it worked instantly. In the video he says that you may have to do it for a week or two but it has already provided substantial relief. To all you criticizers please try what he is suggesting before you write a negative comment. Nice work Dr. Berg!

Thank you Dr. Berg for all your info. You are the best!!!
Dr. Berg I love your vediio"s I get so much knowledge from listening to you videos it's just like talking to a doctor but the doctor don't tell you everything that you need to know
Thanks - and totally know what you mean
Hi Dr.
It works. Exactly as he says it does. 🤯
Dr Berg ~ thank you! "Middle toe pain Dr Berg" search... and you answer.😮 true 🎉 old injury on the opposite foot where it hurts 😅. Let's get started. Thank you?
Ok I do this tomorrow after the gym 😀what the hell , I always thought I watched all your videos Dr Berg 👍I have missed this one
Helped some but it was just one time. Im having surgery in may but ill keep doing this until then
Thank u Dr Berg the minute i touch my opposite foot i could feel something wried on my other foot Wow i will keep doing this exercise. Tthanks again
It’s early days however my pain was constant for several months yet went away within 24-48 hours after starting a keto diet and 2 weeks later is still pain free
Foot neuroma pain went away with keto?
Very interesting! I'm going to try this. Thank you.
Go for it!
Thank you so much Dr. Berg it worked .!.
You're very welcome!
I think I relocated to the wrong place but thank God for you and the internet 👍👍stay blessed🙏 Sue😊
Just tried it. I got some tingling, but the pain is still there. I will continue to do this and see if it’ll eventually work. It makes sense since the nerves are all connected. I do wonder if it just tricks your brain into not feeling the pain anymore or actually cures it
Great advice and technique,thanks.
This really works. Trust me. Thank you so much. I was in so much pain. Had my son do it on my left foot because the pain was on my right. Pain was gone within 15 minutes
Ok im going to try this.. My pain is at a ten when walking.. Keep you posted!
Tina White did it work?
Instant relief. Thank you!!!!
Sandra R when I think back to how many pointy toe shoes I've worn, I want to cry!!! 😢😢😢 never again 😌
Sandra R hello Ms. Sandra. I’m suffering from Morton neuroma on my right foot and I’m also a flat foot person. What do you recommend me please?
What kind of massage
What if you have neuromas in both feet in the same spots?
Massage your arms.If that's even possible
You screwed
My problem too. 2 neuromas I n left foot. 1 in right
such comments are the reason I even bother to read comments.
Any recommendations for people who have 2 - 3 Neuromas in each foot 🥴
You are blessing in disguise
Thank you doc eric berg.
it works!! thank you!!!!!
👏👏👏👏👏👏 great info
I'm gonna try this too. My plantar fascitis is acting up a little again but your techniques are the BEST! another thing that has helped me is slicing an onion and stick it inside your sock and sleep all night with the onion inside your sock. Yes it stinks but it took my swelling away and made my feet real soft.
Try toe spacers and wear natural wide toe box type shoes like Lems, also called minimalist shoes or zero drop shoes .
Can also be impingement of L5 nerves in the spine. L5 is the nerve root for toes 3&4 in the foot.
For just pain or nuromas too?

Pain and numbness.
Thank you Dom. I am on a journey to discover my true self.Thank you for your guidance. x
~you are welcome Martina~
related condition: Metatarsalgia: a feeling like you are walking with a pebble in your shoe(s) Likely just one foot is bothering you than the other. (and/or FEELS LIKE YOUR SOCK IS "BUNCHED UP" or puffy pad at ball of foot) Cause: Old shoes, probably wrong style when they were new. (or lack of exercise) Try walking on a rocky beach or rocky junkyard, concrete chunks etc (with shoes on)
It works! Thank you
My problem is that I have neuroma pain in both feet now. Any suggestions?
Same here!! 😰
Doesn't Morton's neuroma always affect both feet?
Didn't know about this technique yet but the ONLY thing that cured my neuroma was switching to barefoot shoes. All other modern footwear is not foot shaped and was crushing my foot together. Quick test; take your shoe insole out and stand on it. If your toes hang off either or both sides the shoes are too narrow and you will develop problems later in life. If not a neuroma possibly bunions, weak feet, balance issues etc.
Can also get additional relief by shaving off the callous skin with a pedi-egg
Do what if you have them in the same place on both sides?
This technique did work pretty well - Thank You! However, neuroma still there and can flare at any time. So, at what point is Surgery inevitable? Thanks?
@drberg Please make a video about Plantar fibromas... I think I may have the beginning stage of this ... I searched your videos didn't see anything about this. I'm worried about it I heard it could get painful.
DR. BERG WHAT KIND OF BREWERS YEAST IS NO FORTIFIED AND BEST ONE TO USE, PLEASE. LOVE YR VIDS, THANK YOU SO MUCH ANGELA
Yeah, but what do you do if you have them on both feet, equally bad?
Yes pls advise if on both feet
My both feet are in pain when I am standing for long duration
Blessed life seems like we are SOL for a response.
Hello Dr. Thank you.
Hello. Sorry, we do not have information/ video about this. We will add this to our video suggestion list for now. Thanks.
-Dr. Berg's Support Team
Your video deals with the pain, but what treatment should I follow to reduce or eliminate the cause? Message, rest, ice, I have used a rubz ball and it seems to be getting worse.
thanks again,,Dr berg
Thank you for this. I have numbness in both feet w periodic pain. Great info.
Thank You 🤗. I have had nerve pain on my left foot for many years, I think from an old injury. It’s now in both feet. I now know why. Mine was on the top, now it’s my toes, bottom of feet. So, My question is.... will this technic work??? Again, Thank You Dr. very helpful to me
What about neuromas appearing in other areas of body? Would you be able to do a video on that?
That I'd amazing to learn
i was diagnosed with neuromas nearly 3 years ago. both feet. i don't have the trigger point pain you refer to but it feels very uncomfortable under my toes and on foot pads, especially without shoes on. Sure would like some relief or healing strategies. thanks
thank you so much.
Thank you ! I am SO going to try this ! ❤
But I have Morton's neuroma in the same spot in both feet? How will this work?
I have bilateral Morton’s neuromas! What do I do??
Thanks so much! Going to try it. It certainly couldn't hurt. Well maybe a little. But it's worth it I'm sure. Great instructions by the way.
I also lost 42 lbs and my feet are feeling much better.
Did it hurt?
Do you have one of these tricks for plantar fibroma?
Same procedure
yes, work on the top of the foot
@@Drberg do you mean on the upper side of the foot ?
And I remember that I had stepped on the head of a nail out on the old deck years ago. Betcha that’s the original injury, and had tiny fracture on ball of foot years ago. My chiropractor says I need padded insoles. Boney feet! Thks Doc. 👏👏👏👏
Great info.....
Thanyou for ALL of your fabulous videos!
thanks
Try the top part of your foot.
