The people who make it unsafe to be openly trans are the reason a lot of people feel like they have to go on a few dates to get to know you a little bit before making a judgment call on wether or not it's safe to let you know.
I think maybe men need to accept that the safety of transwomen is more important than their personal comfort and convenience. It's nice when people feel like they can be open about it, but there's enough violent persecution of transgender people happening for them to have good reason to be cagey about it.

I raised my daughter the same way. Be unapologetically you! Don’t front as someone your not! This isn’t a masquerade ball, love is NOT a game. Dating is for when you are finding a life partner, everything else is hooking up, not dating. My daughter was the queen of first dates in high school. She is bisexual and has an autistic brother and 2autistic 1st cousins and can’t have kids due to the over 75%chance of her baby being born with something on the spectrum……without the daddy dna included. So she told them straight up it will either be adoption or get a donated egg and invitro. Both very very expensive. And they have to accept that her bro and cousins are a daily/weekly part of her life no ifs, ands or buts! But now she has an incurable nerve disease and the meds prohibit any pregnancy. But it’s all good. Her boyfriend is Aspergers and loves her as much as she loves him. He doesn’t want kids either for fear of passing ASD on. Been dating for 5 years! But she has 2 godchildren and those are my grandkids and yes everyone agreed I’m Nana! My mom and my aunt can kiss my ass and share!🥰
