Well, I don't know, have they fixed the servers? When I stopped playing, only NA and EU servers were working. That's 2 out of 6 I believe? You can't save a game with anything if they keep over half the playerbase from playing.
a "graphics update" won't do shit for this game, I'm so tired of people saying it. It's not the graphics that are killing the game. We need content that is not recycled, but we don't have the people for that. We need it new, but not money. No new, no shiny? no money being made. They are trying, but it won't happen. graphics are not the problem, nor the solution.
I feel like it getting to year 8 was already a bit of a miracle, though let's be honest; with the introduction of Marvel Rivals in to the hero shooter genre as well, Paladins may not have much longer at all. Like Overwatch might be struggling but it at least has a multi-billion dollar company behind it, constantly providing updates to the game; even if they are questionable at times. Perhaps they could salvage all the stuff (champions, lore etc) they built and create a PvE experience instead, but for PvP there needs to be more than a simple upgrade to UE5.
The TP point gain/loss increase means the game will have an easier time permanently deranking players and making it harder for players to climb back up once they start losing 23 pts per loss and only gaining 6 per win. IMO, there is no need to implement an increase to TP gain/loss that will derank players even faster considering the playerbase already is not big enough for even decent matchmaking and only seems capable of setting up players to lose. A better solution would be to increase the max TP gain to 23 and leave the max TP loss where it currently is. This will do two things, allow players to climb faster in their first 10-20 match wins, and not suffer from impossible to maintain ranks where they literally have to win 80-90% of their matches just to stay where they are or derank at a rapid pace.
Hi-rez has always neglected the potential of Paladins due to their questionable reasoning and decision-making. Respect to the devs for trying to maintain the game with the low amount of resources they have. Paladins is fun in its current state and I do think that its uniqueness is distinct enough to be attractive to many. If more people were given the chance to experience it, the situation would certainly improve. Let's hope for the best and see how this year goes. Let's enjoy our Paladins! 🙌
The changes to moji actually made her play a lot more like old moji in most aspects on her damage talent, you should have read it. Its not perfect but atleast its a lot closer (and its actually playable). As for the game in general, im not sure what is the future of the game going to look like, i hope it continues because this is my favorite hero shooter but damn. You cant just release good patches anymore, that just doesnt cut it. We need new maps, we need new champions. I have said this hundreds of time when people whined about champion spam but no one believed me
According to Andrew chicken, those two ledges on that map rework were added intentionally... I think it is dumb because of the sliding hitboxes on all the other rooves around the ledge up there but they committed to that.
They reverted damn near every change. Game is now in a state of arrested development. They need to focus resources on preparing the game for maintenance mode. Game is so cooked
IMO the Experimental queue will go the way of Siege : Beyond in that ppl will play it when it first comes out and go back to playing Siege and the devs will eventually remove it from the game.
tbh, i left paladins for Strinova, but i guess maybe few weeks after the update i will comeback to see how is the game doing, but for now im doing penta's with katana in strinova XD
to me this game when to shit when they switched away from battle passes. Took the quality and thoughtfulness out of the skins, went from 4 skins 4 recolors to 2 skins 2 recolors and same price for it.
they keep the game in shadows...I think we never gonna have a great time with paladins again :c at least a paladins 2 like smite, this game still in UE3 it's a shame
I remember last year when the devs started doing the flashback Event Passes saying that they weren't just recycling content, but the simple fact is that's all they've really done since the start of Season 7 : recycle old content whether it was bringing back old skins that had been removed from the game or using old content as rewards in Event Passes or as recolor fodder and outside of a few new pieces of cosmetics it's almost all been recycled content and they are continuing that in Season 8. On that note, I honestly feel like the crystal sale was just a cash grab by Hi-Rez. Stick a fork in it and call it done.

I know the perks and the card system gives Paladins an identity outside of its competitors but as time goes on i dislike it more and more. Not only is the card system overwhelming to new players as ive seen first hand. but also having to not only unlock characters painfully slowly but also unlock every gold card by leveling every single character is too much. Rivals has such an insane f2p model to compete with. My personal issues on top of everything else is mostly cauterize being 90% is so annoying as well as cdr reduction perk being overpowered imo.
It's like the devs are trying to make Ranked unplayable in low tier. "Nope, you cannot ban anything, just get dumped on by all the toxic team comps. lololol"
I don't believe it matters what the devs do with Maeve's talents since Cat Burglar will simply outclass it. Nerfing Street Justice made Maeve a literal one-talent champion. Replacing Street Justice with Artful Dodger won't change that, ever.
